Anna was our sonographer, and she was absolutely AMAZING at her job. From the moment we walked in, she made me, my husband, and my family feel so welcomed, relaxed, and comfortable. She was warm, patient, and incredibly skilled; talking to me, my family, and even to our baby boy throughout the session . She captured the best little photos of our son -- yawns, smiles, and the sweetest expressions. He definitely helped by being cooperative, but it was so clear that Anna really knows what she's doing. Even my dad commented afterward on how incredible she was at her job, which says a lot. The entire experience was calm, personal, and unforgettable. I couldn't recommend Great Expectations more to any expecting parents looking for a truly special 3D/4D/5D ultrasound experience. I will cherish these memories forever.

I was comfortable and our parents were comfortable. She asked lot of questions, showed us all the different features and gave us a lot of information. We received so many pictures and a great video. I was unsure about coming in for one because I didn't want my baby to be hiding to where we couldn't see him, but I'm so glad we did come in! I will definitely be coming again and recommending to others

I am currently 7 months pregnant and since the start of my pregnancy my husband hasn't been able to attend any of my doctor appointments or ultrasounds. I wanted to him to experience what it is to hear the baby's heartbeat and see the baby move, that's why we schedule an appointment with An Early Peek Ultrasound. Making the appointment was super easy and they had plenty of availability. We decided to go for their $99 package which is a 30min session, with multiple photos (like the small ones from the regular ultrasounds) and 1 printed 4x6. This package also gives you the opportunity to come back another day in case your baby isn't in the right position, which I thought was very nice, since I've had that happened before in past check-ups. The package also comes with a DVD of the entire session and all the images. Also, if you want additional 4x6 photos you can just pay an additional $3 per photo. During the session Cindy was the sweetest! She made us feel super comfortable and she did her best to get the best images from our baby. I felt super comfortable with her, and she made this experience a very memorable one. I HIGHLY recommend An Early Peek Ultrasound to everyone...you will not regret it.

I had a traumatic birth experience at Family Birth Center that could have been avoided if they were…read morerunning a competent operation. This took place in 2023. It was my first birth. As new parents, we were just too thankful that our baby was healthy--and too overwhelmed by new parenthood--to fully process what had happened. Had we been of sounder mind, had the confidence that comes with parenthood, or the financial wherewithal, perhaps we would have sued. Instead, I'm writing this review, over a year later. I am so disappointed and, oddly (or not), still scared by the experience I had. I write this now, 13 weeks pregnant with my second child. I will not be using FBC. The majority of my birth took place in the main house with only my husband there to care for me. We arrived around noon that day for Galyn to check on me. She confirmed I was 4cm dilated and said we could go to lunch in town and then return to get settled at the center. We did just that. After a day of check-ins with other patients, Galyn left the center around 5 or 6pm. She told us multiple times I'd likely give birth that night. She told us to text her when things picked up. She told us to call. My husband and I were alone for a while. We watched Seinfeld, hung out, and ate frozen mango. My parents stopped by briefly around 9:30pm to drop off food and hug us. Shortly after they left, my contractions intensified--around 10pm. We texted. We called. There was no answer. My husband texted and called multiple times--me, in the throes of labor--met with radio silence from Galyn. The assistant, Brittany, eventually responded and said Galyn was with another patient at their home. One of our biggest fears in preparing for this birth was the 1.5-hour drive to the center. We worried we wouldn't make it in time. But we arrived HOURS before active labor--and it didn't matter. The care team wasn't available. Galyn and Brittany finally arrived around 12:45am. There had apparently been phone communication issues. My son was born at 2:05am. They were present and helpful for just over an hour of my labor. And yes--when they were there, it was wonderful. But my husband and I should not have been abandoned at the birth center that night. They cited phone issues on Galyn's end. In retrospect, that truly DOES. NOT. MATTER. I was in your facility. You told me I would likely give birth that night. And you were nowhere to be found. You didn't have proper backup in place. You abandoned me. A week later, we discussed what happened with Galyn. We brought it up--she said she hadn't intended to, because she didn't want to define what was traumatic for us. As we walked through what happened, it was decidedly traumatic--and she agreed. But there was no ownership beyond a heartfelt apology. That's fine on a human-to-human level (a realm in which Galyn operates wonderfully and the reason I was drawn to her care in the first place), but I've since decided that, operationally, it's not sufficient. In rehashing the events, we learned that the patient Galyn was with was not in labor. This was extreme negligence. This was terrifying. Galyn is a wonderful human, she is meant to deliver babies -- but running a business is not her forte. Establishing proper communication, patient safety protocols, and sufficient personnel to handle multiple births is not her strength. And I deeply regret overlooking certain communication breakdowns in my prenatal care that foreshadowed the terrifying experience I ultimately went through. Most women I know who pursue unmedicated birth are looking for a calm, safe environment in which to do so. FBC did not provide that for me.
