Have some friends that belong and went for a Friday night dinner and drinks. Service was outstanding. Nick is great. Cocktails good. I had the seasonal special of a Harvest Moscow Mule made with cider. Food was average. My husband wasn't a fan of his chicken. I tried the coating and thought it was above average and would order if I went again. My crab salad app was average. Basic mayo imitation crab salad on toast points. The bread was fantastic. It appeared to be deep fried but the bread was still soft in the middle. Overall it was a good experience but I must say if the service wouldn't have been as good as it was my rating would have been 3 stars for the average food.

Walked to the club to watch the sunset with friends. The view was gorgeous. The restaurant was having Italian night. We got two different green salads, garlic bread, pizza and a pasta made to order. The salads were very fresh and good with quality ingredients. There was a cheese pizza and a sausage, kale and pepper pizza that were tasty. The pasta was mixed in front of you by the chef made from your choice of ingredients and sauce. The Alfredo sauce was very good, the red sauce needed a little more spices. It was half price bottles of wine night so we chose a nice Pinot Grigio. Overall a good meal!

Another perfect arizona winter day from the back paio of Mvcc

I have been coming to Mvcc for nearly 10 years now. I had my wedding here and recently moved into moon valley just around the corner from the club. This place was great when I first came here but with the new owners group on board and membership climbing it is only getting better. I have never seen Mvcc look better and it makes me proud to be a member. Finding a neighborhood like moon valley is hard enough, but when you add a central hub like Mvcc it really makes it special. With a restaurant, bar, workout facilities, pools, and don't forget the golf how does it get any better. If more neighborhoods in arizona were built this way it would only help the quality of life for all of us.

On rare, special occasions, I get to experience the country club life! A very special friend booked a tee time for me and I took full advantage of it. Moon Valley Country Club is located in North Phoenix in the Paradise Valley region of the valley. It takes about 30 minutes from Downtown Phoenix to get there and you need to have your GPS or map help you get there. It's a bit off the regular path and you have to navigate the country club area to get there, but the club stands out beautifully against the homes and north mountain backdrop. I took advantage of some merchandise sales going on and got a logo hat, some golf balls and ball marker. The staff is exceptional, (no surprise there) and the course was nicely cared for. Played the course at 6500 yards and had some challenging par 4's. The only par 3 I managed to hit the green on was the 198 yard par 3! I need to work on my 8 iron. On course beverage was outstanding and very prompt. Saw her 4 times in the 3 and a half hours it took us to finish the round. Overall, Moon Valley Country Club is an exception course but, obviously, not going to be accessible to everyone. If you get the opportunity to play it, please do so! You'll be very pleased.

The level of care, familiarity, and genuine warmth the staff shows is something you simply can't fake. They greeted members by name, every member... and what impressed me even more was how they extended that same attentiveness to guests. As someone visiting with members, I felt welcomed, seen, and treated with the same level of respect as their long time regulars. Our server was an absolute joy. Gracious, informed, and effortlessly charming. Every question we asked was answered in detail, and her suggestions ended up being exactly what we didn't know we needed. We started with the shrimp cocktail, beautifully presented on a chilled plate with perfectly poached shrimp arranged over cucumbers. The shrimp were sweet and fresh, and paired with a tangy, spicy house made cocktail sauce that had just the right kick. A simple appetizer, but done exactly right and matched perfectly with my martini (or 2). For entrées, our table ordered a mix, and every dish was consistent, well-prepared, and beautifully plated: Salmon - My dish was the salmon, cooked to that perfect point where it's still moist and buttery inside with a crisp, lightly seasoned exterior. It came atop a delicate bed of seasonal vegetables, and the accompanying gorgonzola butter added brightness without overpowering the fish. Ribeye Steaks (three at the table) - Thick-cut, well-marbled cooked precisely to temperature. Each steak had a gorgeous sear that locked in every bit of flavor, and the richness of the meat paired flawlessly with their velvety mashed potatoes and they all got the sweet potato dish. The guys seem to always get this. Another Fish Entrée - The other seafood dish (the local white fish special) was tender and flaky with a lemon caper butter sauce that gave it a rich finish. It seemed light and satisfying from what I could tell. What stood out most was the consistency. My dining companions, who frequent the club, said every visit is this good and based on my experience, I believe it. The food, service, and atmosphere came together to create a classic country club dining experience elevated by the warmth and familiarity of a team that clearly cares. Overall, dining here felt like slipping into a place where hospitality still means something, where the staff remembers your face, your preferences, and genuinely wants you to enjoy your time. As a guest, I couldn't have been more impressed. If you ever get the chance to dine at the Arizona Country Club, don't hesitate. It's a truly special experience.

Even though I wasn't there as a member, I immediately understood why the club has such a strong reputation in Scottsdale. Everything--from the grounds to the atmosphere to the service--felt polished, intentional, and quietly elegant. The moment I arrived, I was struck by how beautifully the club blends into its surroundings. The views of Camelback Mountain create a backdrop that feels almost cinematic, and the landscaping is immaculate without feeling overly manicured. There's a sense of calm that settles in as soon as you step onto the property, the kind of calm that makes you want to slow down and take it all in. The clubhouse itself has a classic, understated charm. It's not flashy; instead, it leans into warm tones, natural textures, and a layout that feels both spacious and intimate. It's the kind of place where you can imagine generations of families gathering, celebrating, and returning year after year. What stood out to me most was how welcoming the dining spaces felt. Even as a guest, I never felt out of place. The staff were gracious, attentive, and genuinely warm--professional without being stiff. There's a rhythm to the service that makes everything feel seamless. The dining room has that perfect balance of sophistication and comfort. Large windows let in plenty of natural light, and the views of the course add a serene backdrop to the meal. It's the kind of setting that elevates even a simple lunch. I didn't play a round, but even just walking near the course gave me a sense of how meticulously maintained it is. The greens looked pristine, the fairways lush, and the overall layout seemed both challenging and scenic. You can tell the club takes pride in its course, and it shows.

All 18 holes were unique, and their greens were very different. However, this par 3 is freaking expensive - $576 for my group of 4 to play and take out carts! It cost more for us to play here than a real course like the Biltmore. Is it worth it? Nah - you should splurge on a real course instead. However, if you want to be right up in the mountains and taking pictures, consider the green fees a tourist tax for your photo albums. But honestly, play a real 18 hole course for the best value. Edit: My name isn't Mike, and I didn't stay at said hotel. Not good business practice to copy and paste responses.

The people in the pro shop were friendly at check-in but things went downhill from there. The carts were super basic, not even having bluetooth audio. I normally wouldn't care but we paid ~$125 for green fees alone so I'd expect a better cart that what you get at a cheap municipal course. The cart girl wasn't very friendly and the drinks were almost double the price compared to PGA level courses I've played on Maui, etc. We had some novice golfers in our group and I'll admit we were a little slow, yet picking up balls when necessary and not causing a traffic jam. The marshal was extremely antagonistic when he approached us around the 7th hole saying something like "speed it up and don't make me force you to skip the next hole." A simple warning or heads up would've been better. Once we finished the cart return guys rushed us, grabbing my partners rental clubs before I could confirm that none of my personal clubs had inadvertently been placed in the rental bag. They seemed annoyed when I asked them to give me a few moments to check. Just bad customer service all around. I'm still giving this course 3 stars because the course itself was pretty solid and well maintained. However, you have much better options in Scottsdale unless you really want to play a par 3.

This place is so conveniently located that it instantly turns any business trip or quick getaway into a golf adventure. If I ever retire to Phoenix, I'd be hunting for a house right around here in a heartbeat. Most folks picture Arizona golf as nothing but cacti, sand, and rocks baking in the sun. Not here! Raven is an absolute oasis with thousands of mature pine trees lining the fairways, lush rolling greens, strategic bunkers, and stunning views of South Mountain and the valley beyond. It's like a lush Northern Arizona vibe dropped right into the desert beautifully manicured and way more forgiving (and fun) than the typical target-style desert courses. This was our very first stop on a multi-course golf binge, suggested by a friend, and it completely set the tone. Everything only gets better from here, but Raven was the ideal starter: challenging yet playable for all levels, with that championship Gary Panks/David Graham design that keeps you thinking on every shot. The staff was super accommodating and friendly from the moment we arrived. The food? Mouth-watering definitely grab the burger (you won't regret it). Drinks were cold, the vibe relaxed, and the whole experience made it feel like we were kicking off something special. Nothing beats golf in Arizona when the conditions are this good. Raven was the perfect warm-up round, and now I'm hooked scan't wait to hit the rest of the courses on our list! Highly recommend making Raven your first (or only) stop in Phoenix.
