I attended a Celebration of Life event and the first thing I noticed was the table covering was full of creases from being folded. The table covers were short; meaning not down to the floor for a classic look. For the price they charge for the venue, I would like to recommend the table covers be pressed to show some sort of level of class expected of a country club. I also overheard the coffee, tea and lemonade were costing $35 per gallon! Seriously?!?! The most inexpensive of beverages are charging predatory prices. Please consider the cost of the event itself before booking this place. Predatory pricing with no attention to detail is a poor reflection of how the management is marketing their country club. There are many other venues (charging considerably less fees) that make an effort to promote quality of the venue. Country Club used to equate to classy, not here. read more

A country club that leaves a lot to be desired. They have Eight courts only three are functional, the others needs repairs badly. The restaurant menu is terrible, I am not sure why people eat there because Salad and Go's food is more delicious. The pickelball courts suffered damage during the last storm and the fence fell in and no repairs yet still today. The gym hasn't been updated since the seventies missing neon workout outfits. And the carpet hasn't been cleaned for decades. Also, none of their lockers work. Please hire someone to manage and update this country club, because the demand is here if it's taken care off. Been a golf member for a little over 2 years. (It is February 2025.). They did a very nice clean up to the course in 2024. Trimmed and removed trees, edged the cart path, added new sand (to some holes) and replaced crab grass with DG. Fairways and greens are in very good shape, considering the high usage. A round of golf is in/around 4 hours. Graze has improved food and service. They are currently looking for a new chef, I believe. New GM and head pro are making positive changes. We consistently get good tee times. I see a lot of negative reviews, and would encourage everyone to check it out, before relying on those 1 star reviews. It is very nice for what you are paying, and the members are great. Keep up with the improvements!! read more

As a member I have to say the food here sucks it's so gross!!!!!! I've been a child that has been a member of the most exclusive country clubs in jersey. So maybe i have "high standards" when it comes to a county club? But no the food here is crap. Also the men and women's lockers rooms smell like crap and mold. Sure there is a health issue. The only good thing here is the gym (the nursery)and golf. The staff here is wonderful I should point that out. They are very friendly and caring. Just don't come here to eat ever!!! I've never seen a business so poorly mismanaged. Constant turnover of management doesn't help but there remains a level of apathy by top management towards all guests that astounds me. We were members for a few years, expecting at least SOME of the promises their sales person, Charlie, had promised us would materialize but the gym remained the same with outdated equipment, deprecated courts (tennis, racquetball, whatever). They simply subtract failing equipment or other benefits rather than replace. Or heaven-forbid upgrade. The latest round of management seems less in touch and void of any form of hospitality, which was a low bar to begin with, and the staff remain frustrated at their leader's incompetency. Never seen a hospitality organization blatantly disregard much of the member's interest or concerns. My only compliment is to the servers that have been there through many rounds of management as they really do care and are fantastic at their jobs. They are simply handcuffed by management bent on failing. As for the activities, the golf courses, especially the original at ACC needs significant care and upgrades, the new plastic pickleball courts were a poor choice as everyone wants to play the game but the nets and surface are too cheap to get anyone close to a real pickleball game. And there is never any benefit of being a member. Every lesson or event is outrageously priced for the value of the instructors. Even the food received a price hike while reducing the overall quality. (They went through a few head chefs and the recent meals have improved but drinks have seen a significant cost jump) If there is any ASU student in search of a thesis for how a business should (and likely will) collapse, they should ask to shadow the Arrowhead Country Club, while it still exists. read more

We enjoyed the crispy calamari appetizer cooked to perfection. Sea Bass and scallop entrees were cooked perfectly and very tasty. Risotto and vegetable succotash were fantastic. Service was spot on. We look forward to our next meal. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. They could never get their billing right so after months of them not being able to draft our dues we'd get a debit out of our account for close to $2,000. We've been trying to cancel our membership since 4/13/2023. No one returns our emails, calls etc yet say we are still responsible for our upcoming dues when we haven't been there and literally no one calls us back or responds to our written cancellation. For some reason my name says Michael on here. My name is Melissa Greggo. I have every email to prove my case. Emails to Chris Jones, Andrea and I believe Andrea even told my husband to email someone else on 4/13/2023 to cancel, I believe his name is Mason but not sure. I've sent an email the last 3 days to Chris and Andrea. Andrea responded once and has not responded the last 2 days and Chris, the General Manager, hasn't responded at all. My case speaks for itself, no response ever. I requested accounting not charge us for the upcoming month and they said they're unable to do that without Chris confirming the cancellation, which he doesn't respond. If this is debited from our account we will be in touch with the BBB and our Attorney. Please, please... take my advice and stay away from this place. They are great to get you in but literally don't respond so you can't get out. Unfortunately, for them, we will not let this go. read more

Golf membership -- I've been a member of this club for nearly 20 years. And the way this club is run currently is heartbreaking and an utter embarrassment to me. I am absolutely astonished that an the operators of Arrowhead CC take such an antagonistic posture with their loyal patrons. Most interactions with the head pro are contentious, tee times are nearly impossible to get and, god forbid you seek help from the "professional" you are likely to experience an service interaction akin to being pulled over by a traffic cop. Not to disparage the experience of ring pulled over for a traffic violation, but I can't believe that there is a service model at a private country club that values an approach towards its members which starts with accusations, arguments and rudeness vs. appreciation and "how can I help you." It has been made abundantly clear that once they have your money that "your patronage" is not as important as the next membership that they can sell -- rather give away at a lower price than you. They are destroying a west valley gem. read more

Took 3 weeks to get very convoluted info re tennis program. When I went for a tour the membership guy immediately went on a tangent about corporate greed and complained about his salary. When I brought the issue to the gm after having my time wasted by the membership manager, the membership manager called to try and yell at me. I'm glad my phone easily disconnects. Also when I toured the facility I wasn't introduced to anyone, my request for the complimentary trial I saw advertised was ignored, and I had to greet the bar staff as opposed to vice versa. Someone should send them any basic book like "How to Win Friends and Influence People." Very glad I opted to check out other tennis clubs. If I ever were to join a country club, it definitely wouldn't be this one. Update- Just got another call being harassed by them after asking to not be contacted again. (It's been 3 months and the tennis guy just now opted to call!) Called repeatedly when I declined the call. I picked up because I thought it was something legitimate. I have been a member of Arrowhead Country Club gym primarily to use the outdoor "heated" pool to swim laps. This is supposed to be a "country club" but considering the lack of cleanliness of the pool bathhouse and the no heat of the pool anyone expecting a country club experience would be disappointed. The showers in the bathhouse are rarely cleaned and the pool's heater stopped working in Oct 2023 and they claim they are waiting for pool parts. Seems that they really just don't want to pay to heat the pool. Emails to the GM and the gym manager have gone unanswered. Given no one at Arrowhead wants to be transparent about what is happening with the pool, possibly a negative review on Yelp will get their attention. read more

Joined the tennis team the other night for happy hour. As a guest I was treated so special, they brought us menus and walked me through the ordering process. I was given a drink - which a member purchased for me. It was a delight to enjoy the luxurious dining area, the bathrooms with all the amenities, and the twinkling lights outside. The food was average, but not horrible - I enjoyed the fish fry and we had a pizza (or flatbread?) The service was sweet, but a little scattered. I was really charmed. I plan to return. read more

Awesome country club. Great new remodled gym, heated Olympic pool for year round use. Love the family like atmosphere, plenty of planned family events/pool parties. Only complaint, wish members who didn't pay for the monthy tennis membership could still rent a court on a need by need basis. Our server was alright she showed up rarely and forgot to bring my beers We ended up waiting 35-40min for our food and they brought the wrong order. Place is the bomb.com! I thought the food at Graze was mediocre until I went in for Asian night on Thursday. We ordered shrimp toast, sushi, and green curry and all three were seriously DELICIOUS. They were by far the best meals we've had there. I wish they'd change the whole menu to Asian style because it's clearly chef's specialty. I'm sitting here drooling just thinking about it. Mmm! ...Grab you a cocktail with it too - best bartender in the world, Ramon, will keep you topped off. In fact, everyone on staff takes care of you like you're family - But minus that "help yourself" bullshit. They won't have you lifting a finger, especially Ken, he's great! Arcis is running this club into the ground. They spend basically next to nothing on the regular golf course maintenance while taking short cuts to save more money. I was told membership is near 700 persons, paying approximately $500+/month. Where is the money going? Well Arcis just bought Greyhawk for $100m and it's thanks to taking advantage of members at the courses around the nation. The GM, Chris Jones is a jerk who tried to intimidate my wife by squeezing her hand very aggressively when meeting her as well. I'm currently a member but looking at other options as this club is toxic. I am a golf member paying the same amount as everyone else and I cannot join the men's club thus I'm excluded from some club activities. The assistant superintendent is a jerk who lets his dog take a poop on the golf course without picking it up, says he hates the members, and will do as little as possible to keep his job. The club house roof leaks when it rains, the golf course conditions are continually getting worse, and every necessary improvement needed to the golf facilities are neglected. I would not join here unless you are looking to join a private version of Cave Creek Golf Club. read more

Ate there last month with a friend, food was ok but bland, but both of us were overcharged by about 25% and neither of us provided a credit card receipt, which raised a red flag for me. I'm usually understanding that computer mistakes happen, but in person visit, multiple phone calls didn't work after almost 4 weeks...even though they acknowledged that I was overcharged and promised a refund. Finally had to dispute it to get the $ back. My friend's phone call about the charges was never returned. Very disappointed at such poor customer service and 'we don't care' attitude. What better way to follow up a review of the dumpy Metrocenter than with the classy Arrowhead Country Club. I just went here for lunch the other day with a friend whose husband is the chef here. So needless to say, this review is of the clubhouse dining - not the golfing. The food here is pretty good. It's your average country club fare -- upscale, but a bit conservative. I was so tempted to walk in the joint with a sweater draped over my back and shoulders and tell them my name is Carlton, but I held it in. I ordered the chicken with a wine mushroom sauce and rice pilaf. Good, but par for the course (no pun intended). Service was polite and quick, as it always is when I've been here for business meetings. I've also been here for a number of rubber chicken banquet dinners - so I know what to expect. The clubhouse facility itself is decent (not as fabulous as you might think), but the banquet set-up is a bit small, semi-circular, and is downstairs, so you feel like you're in some kind of basement. I keep asking for a certain member named Jordin Sparks, but she never seems to be around....dang it. read more

This review is mostly about the sports club membership, and not the golfing membership, two different things, although you can opt for both, although if you use one more than the other, its kind of pointless and costly to go with both. So, I've been a member here on and off since I was 8 years old. And this club has transformed before my very eyes over that time span. Normally, you would only find me on the tennis courts rather than in the sports club, but it wasn't too bad of a place. With the renovations that took place a few years back, a lot had been added and taken away. Like those yummy fruit smoothies that I use to charge to my club card with no remorse, and deal with the consequences of my father receiving the bill later on in the month. Something about losing their food license or some junk... But this building has many classrooms for anything from aerobics to tai chi, spa rooms for great massages and various treatments, racquetball courts, and numerous weight and exercise machines. Plus, if you have kiddies, there's child care provided as well. And of course, there's the tennis courts, the kiddie and lap pool to the south of the club. I sometimes found myself on the 'golfer' side, for a quick bite at the lounge/bar after hitting the courts pretty hard or in their main dining area for weddings and their receptions held by numerous family friends. It really is a nice venue, they have a patio that overlooks the first hole and a nice courtyard with a small lake with a fountain nearby. Plus the food isn't bad, I always talk about how I dislike chicken, but for some reason they're chicken fingers at the lounge hit the spot every time! Now to explain my rating...I knocked off a star due to the recent firing of a good majority of the tennis pro instructors that were great, and basically made tennis happen at this country club. I know how the economy is, but seriously, they didn't have to do it the way they did, apparently micro-management of the sports club needs some revamping... read more

If you're looking for a country club atmosphere with a fitness center that now looks like the average gym at an apartment complex, you're in the right spot. Been a member here for quite some time. The place has so much potential but ownership simply doesn't care. We play tennis 3-4 times per week and the majority of the courts are getting to the point that they are dangerous, let alone unplayable. The restaurant/bar area is very nice, but staffing is minimal. Fortunately, Ramon doesn't tend bar any longer. I always felt that I was putting him out by just ordering a cocktail. Like the old saying goes, you have to spend money to make money. If they put a cash infusion into this place and did some much-needed updating, it would be one of the the top country clubs in the valley. This club has so much potential, but is very poorly managed. Tennis courts have holes in them and are a danger to play on (inner city courts in run down areas have better courts ) as many people have been hurt in them, paint is peeling and outdoor lighting is in disrepair (wires hanging out, etc), golf membership is so overloaded it is difficult to get tee times, golf course sand traps are almost out of sand and sometimes have the liners showing, and lack of sufficient golf carts are a continual problem. read more

My high school class held a reunion here. The staff was amazing and the food was excellent. The catering department (headed by Jennifer) went above and beyond to provide us with an incredible experience at a very reasonable price. These folks nailed it. If you are planning a wedding, reunion or gathering of around 125 people or fewer, The Arrowhead Country Club is an excellent choice. Our reunion was an overwhelming success because of these folks. Played in a Belco golf tournament here today and I'd have to say that this course is well maintained and fun to play. They have a nice mix of tough, easy, short, and long holes and have a good staff for the most part. The cart girl seemed a little drunk from the night before :) The carts were nice and provided GPS but it was an incredibly long course to play on the cart path only (crappy rule due to the weather) pretty wide open fairways and a decent rate of play with they had 1-2 more bathrooms on the front / back 9 Great greens and practice center I have heard they have one of the best teaching pro's in the valley from other golfers but have yet to try his services out yet. read more

I was so disappointed with my experience at the "Graze" restaurant here. I had a special date night planned for me and my boyfriend. We were able to seat ourselves, so we sat outside. It took almost 15min for us to even be greeted by a server, which was strange because it wasn't very busy for a Friday. I offered to move inside where there were more people, and she, very passive-aggressively, told me I could stay outside. We did our whole order with our server all at once to make it easy. & We both ordered the exact same entree to make it even easier. Appetizers came out within 20min, and they were tasty! But after that, we hadn't been checked on in nearly 30minutes. Our drinks were empty, and we were starting to get frustrated. Our server was nowhere to be found. We decided to move to the closest table inside. We let a nearby server and a food runner know that we had moved inside in hopes that we'd get better service there. They said they'd let her know, and assured us that we were totally fine in moving. Although the restaurant wasn't very busy, it took an hour and twenty minutes to get our entrees. I wish I was joking. Not once, but twice, we were brought out completely incorrect orders. (We ordered burgers & fries and we were brought out a salad and some sort of eggroll thing? I didn't get a good look at it, just long enough to let the gentleman know that this wasn't our order) We were very nice and apologetic to the food runner and told him our correct order (having worked food service myself, I totally understand the chaos and confusion that can happen!) but the second time he brought us the wrong food (he brought 2 different kinds of burgers, one with sweet potato fries), he rolled his eyes and let out a huge sigh! I was shocked. Like I said, I tried to make it easy and we ordered the same exact meal. Finally, our server appeared and brought us our correct food. There was no apology whatsoever for the wait or the inconvenience of the whole situation. In fact, she had an attitude with us, saying that it's probably because we moved tables that our food came out incorrectly. But maybe if we'd seen her in the last hour, we could've told her. But like I said, we told another server and a food runner that we'd moved inside, and they told us they'd let her know. And we were watching to see if she, or a runner came with our food. Once we asked for the check, it took her 20minutes to get it to us. It was my first and last time eating here. I can understand if the restaurant was busy, things happen! But to bring us out the wrong food twice, roll your eyes, and give no apology whatsoever that our food took almost 90min to come out correctly was completely unprofessional to me. read more

We joined for golf in April 2016 and we're initially very pleased. The course layout is challenging and a lot of fun to play. Overall the golf course/pro shop staff is very nice and service was one of the big selling factors. In the last 6 months it has really gone downhill. On the course you'll fight between mud patches and crabgrass (even if you hit the fairway) and a 5 hour round of golf due to the influx of 'cheap/trial members' is not uncommon. High value service members and landscape crew have been let go - indicating a lack of desire from management to improve the experience at all. Upon resigning from the course, we received snarky comments from the sales manager - clearly not interested in making the course/experience better or trying to win members back. I'd give this course a 50/50 chance (at best) of staying private. read more

A lot of improvements in recent years - renovated fitness equipment, new pavement in the parking lot, and more. Food is decent in the restaurant, when it happens to be open. This is really a country club that is within reach of the middle class person such as myself - for just a bit north of one hundred thirty per month you can get the best of everything here except for golf.
