(LOL I wish she did interiors, too since I haven't had much luck with many of the professionals we've used here!) Here's our experience: When it comes to landscape design, Debbie comes with years of DESERT LANDSCAPE DESIGN EXPERIENCE -- she knows what will work and what won't work. More importantly, she LISTENS and then applies what we shared with her to create an incredible design that mapped to our budget. This is a very mixed review. We had 3 large Palms and 3 small citrus installed in Palm Springs Oct 2023. We had the designer come give us recommendations. The installation seemed to go fine however we later noted they had broken our irrigation lines. I had to have it repaired right away by my regular landscaper. The response from Moon Valley was poor and very slow. I had to circle back to them numerous times with poor excuses. I was finally compensated at the end of January. Since the beginning one of the palms, the queen palm, has not looked well. When I have called about it they suggested I buy a plan for regular feeding and maintenance. At the first visit the gentleman who came agreed the tree did not look good and a supervisor would need to come look at it. No one ever called. When the next scheduled maintenance was scheduled I asked about the supervisor coming as now the tree looks very bad. There was no record of this request. The supervisor, Patrick did finally come look at my tree and finally I can report a great interaction with someone from this company. Patrick was knowledgeable, helpful and generous with advice. He was able to give me food and supplements which he feels will salvage my tree and he also looked at our watering system, sent me recommendations as to watering schedule and gave me advice on our other trees as well. This is the kind of service I expect after having spent over $10,000 on trees. So, overall I would not recommend buying trees from this company but Patrick is terrific and they are lucky to have him. He gets a 5 star review. read more

When I think of Moon Valley Nursery I think of gorgeous specimen trees, but with the help of John Archuleta and Austin Purdy at the Coachella Valley location I discovered they offer the most incredible rose selection as well. We now have long stemmed white and yellow roses almost year round. They make beautiful bouquets that stay fresh for 10 days. I highly recommend you add some of this beauty to your life! read more

Drove over an hour to this location for items shown on their website only to arrive and be told "we don't carry those items" . The nice lady told me to try their San Diego location (Encinitas) which wasn't on option. MVN nursery stock looked healthy and well taken care of and on the pricier side. We Googled and did find another nursery a few blocks away called Bob Williams Nursery which had exactly what we were wanting so our drive wasn't a total waste. I HIGHLY recommend you stop in at Bob Williams Nursery at 48575 Madison St, Indio CA and check out their wonderful selection of nursery stock. Moon Valley sent a different tree than what I selected, then charged me an extra $1200 to trade it out; Moon Valley also charged me for items I did not receive and forgot to give me a credit, for TWO MONTHS. We sent emails and left voicemails. Nothing. Meanwhile their Wells Fargo people are charging me late fees, even though I made the agreed payments. And I had to pay interest on the amount that I didn't owe. Today, I found out from Wells Fargo, that Moon Valley shorted my credit. Last week I found the same items cheaper. Shop around and skip Moon Valley. read more

They stated it was their system issue, but couldn't resolve it in 24 hours. My wife and I re did our entire landscape for our house. We bought 80 plants with Moon Valley Nursery. Out of the 80 plants, we purchased 3 palms and unfortunately one started to die. Kevin from Moon valley immediately came to our house to take and look and try to salvage the palm tree. Unfortunately, the tree wasn't able to be salvaged. Despite this, Moon Valley knew we were upset. I came back and told Kico our story and he immediately provided another palm tree free of charge. I can't begin to explain how happy we have been with the service. Plants are not perfect and that is out of anyone's control, but everyone from Moon Valley Nursery have gone above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect experience. Thank you to Kevin and Kico. Had a great experience getting driven around and looking at trees at the nursery. Picked out some beautiful trees and found the process fairly simple. Sergio and Joel did an amazing job with the install going above and beyond to get the largest tree we ordered into a raised bed without damaging the wall. They are highly profitable via their unfair business practices. READ ON The staff is trained to make a big commission, AND THEY ARE SHADY! THEY DO NOT PRINT OR POST ANY PRICE LISTS --- the salespeople look you up and down-- deciding the price on the spot --- seeing how much of a commission they can make. Yes, great specimen plants ---- but this place is only for those who have money to through away. Consumers are being taken advantage of and manipulated. It would be awesome if consumers would boycott this place until they print and post (and on the internet) the price of each plant category and each size. Proper pricing and posting would enable the consumer to compare shops and make informed decisions. This review is not from one experience. I work throughout Southern California as a designer and renovation project manager. I have visited several Moon Valley shops, used their Internet Chat, and spoken to various Sales People. We were very happy with our experience with Moon Valley nurseries. Debbie Ramirez came to the house and helped us pick out plants that would do well where we needed plants, we met her at the nursery and she drove us around to pick out our plants, the quality of the plants here are great. A few weeks later our plants were delivered. We're very happy with our new cacti, acacia and Pygmy date palm. Joel Ramos and his team did an amazing job, they were extremely professional, polite and worked very hard to make us happy and everything looks great. There was a bit of a hiccup with a pool pipe being cracked where we wanted a Yucca planted but Joel identified the problem and fixed it immediately. Overall we're very pleased with the quality of the plants, the knowledge and expertise of desert plants and the way everything was installed. My husband has been using their fertilizer, Moon Juice, for years and stopped by the nursery to look at Queen Palm trees as one of ours died. We decided to replace our tree and purchased the Hybrid Piru Queen Palm. We were told that this tree was hardy and could survive the hot summers in our valley. They delivered the tree on time, the Supervisor and staff were neat, friendly and efficient planting the new tree. The Supervisor explained the how to care for the new tree as well as answered questions about other plants in our yard. We would highly recommend Moon Family Nurseries, we purchased the tree at the Jackson St., Coachella location. We received a follow up call asking about our experience. Moon Valley Nurseries is amazing. From the design services to the final planting, everyone was professional and went out of their way to make sure we got just what we wanted. Debbie, the Designer and Teddy, the manager both chauffeured us around the property to look at and choose the trees and plants we wanted for our landscaping. The quality and choices were endless. There was one tree we didn't get to see before planting and when we weren't happy with the size, Teddy got on the phone to find what we wanted and they made a second trip to swap it out for one we loved. Debbie Ramirez worked with us on the design, going above and beyond since we had to make sure our HOA would approve our plans. She helped us with choosing plants that would work in our desert environment and would also work within our budget. The guys that did the planting, Valentin Perez, Francisco Lopez, Juan Rodriguez and Moises Lopez worked hard the entire day getting everything planted perfectly. They worked with us to make sure that not only were the trees and plants where we wanted them, but turned the direction we wanted as well. Even though it was all freshly planted, which can look awkward until it settles in a little, our yard looks like an oasis!
