We're so happy with our Chitalpa tree purchase from Moon Valley. Unfortunately our poor tree that the builder had planted died just over a year of having it. I'm from Chicago so I had never had to experience tree issues like this as most of the trees planted thrive pretty well in the environment. Time was running out to get a new tree before being fined by the HOA when I just happened to see the Moon Valley door hanger on my door offering 40% off and took it as a sign to finally plant new roots. We popped over there one afternoon after work just wanting to get some information and not planning to buy a tree at all that day. I knew I wanted a flowering tree and had wanted to check out a few options. After about an hour of touring the nursery and talking to the knowledgeable and kind staff about different options, we were guided to selecting a Chitalpa as the tree that fit all of our needs and ended up purchasing it that day! Which funny enough wasn't available until then so had I went earlier I never would've come across it. I learned so much that day about trees and the staff was very honest about types, what they require and whether they would be a good fit or not so I trusted their opinion. They also informed us that fall was the best time to plant our tree, which is why we also chose to purchase. Our HOA has a 3" caliper requirement which this beauty exceeded and it produced beautiful flowers. I was not prepared for how much trees cost especially a more mature one that our HOA requires so I greatly appreciated the 40% off special, free planting, warranty & financing options. They explained how to care for it and set us up with some products and a year of tree service to ensure that it doesn't happen to us again. They also instructed us on how to prep for the installation and kept us informed until install day. On planting day, they were very efficient and skillful in the process taking great care of the tree even adding more mulch and creating the water moat. We set up a game plan with them and she was all set! They even went above and beyond and took the previous tree's root ball that the garbage man had failed to take which we appreciated. We were told our tree may be stressed and lose its leaves, but in fact she bloomed 2 flowers just after being planted! We're very happy with our new tree, the service & the value. I purchased two fruit trees from Moon Valley nursery in Forney Texas because they advertised complete Care of fruit trees I just recently moved to this area east of McKinney and had no experience with fruit trees in this area I chose Moon Valley nursery because they said the trees were grown here and would be accustomed to the climate I chose two different kinds of trees of Fuji apple and a hybrid nectar plum They offered great financing for the trees at 0% interest provided you got the trees paid off in a year that's an awesome deal and quite doable They planted my trees in a designated spot that I had marked for them. Unfortunately for me the hybrid tree didn't look so well so I went down to Forney and picked up a product for free to help with their spider problems. Sadly that tree is not doing very well so I contacted them again and sent them a picture of both trees They offered me another free product to help me treat this tree and unfortunately for them I didn't want to make that drive again only because there's hideous construction on the highway in front of them Needless to say their customer service is awesome because someone is coming today to provide me free products to assist in the problem with the tree. I say that is outstanding customer service because I live east of McKinney I highly recommend Moon Valley Nurseries in Forney Texas because of their outstanding customer service and care for their customers read more

Our experience with Moon Valley Nurseries began two years ago at the Forney, TX store. We were fortunate enough to meet CHRISTIAN HALL and have him be the one to help us through our tree buying experience. Christian is knowledgeable and patiently spent the time ensuring we understood which trees would work best for our property, while staying within our budget. We purchased a total of 10 trees with Christian's assistance. Christian was there and involved from purchase to install and then followed up to ensure satisfaction. Unfortunately a storm destroyed one of our beautiful trees, and Mother Nature found a way to affect a second. Thankfully we purchased the warranties on our trees allowing us to have them replaced. At this point Christian Hall had now transitioned to the Carrollton, TX store but he stepped up and helped us through the replacement process. We are so pleased we were originally paired with Christian as he has been such a proactive representative of Moon Valley Nurseries. He checks in periodically to see how our trees are doing and if we need any help selecting additional trees. The service was great, from beginning to end. From Christian and Cole in Forney helping us to pick out trees and plan the install, to Jason who sent out the notices of pending arrival the day prior, to Richard and his crew who delivered and planted my trees, the service was fantastic. They came at the expected time, with an extra phone call as they were en route, and all work was done within a few hours. They were very meticulous about how my 5 trees were planted and wanted to make sure I was happy with the placement, the trees being rotated to reveal the most attractive side from each vantage point, and how they looked when all the work was done. They cleaned up all the extra chunks of dirt from around each site and even re-mulched my flower beds to cover up the areas where they had dug and planted. Richard was very professional and knowledgeable about the planting process, making sure the final product was beautiful. Moon Valley's trees and related services are not inexpensive, but if you are looking to make some investments in your property by adding trees, I feel it is worth it for the process and the quality of work. read more

Christian Hall did a great job working with us to balance just the right types and sizes of trees to instantly make our house a showcase while explaining the eventual size and look we will have in 10 years. He took into account the overall look of my neighborhood which went beyond the typical myopic designing where my home was looked at as though it were just in the middle of an empty prairie and lead to some weird designs that were great - only if my house Were in the middle of a prairie. Integrating color, bloom, texture, maintenance, along with the more mature sizes available at this nursery has given us a plan that we are very happy with and confident in. read more

I had to replace a tree in my yard and stopped in to see what they offered. Excellent service from beginning to end. Salesman Christian explained the entire process and the entire breakdown of what I was paying for and the services I would receive. On the day of delivery, Richard and his crew, removed my old stump and plane red the new tree quickly and without damaging anything around the area. He explained everything they were going to do and said I could watch if I chose to do so. They delivered everything they said they would and offered the services I expected. We needed a face lift to our pool area after a couple of ice storms that destroyed several shrubs. After visiting, and meeting Scott Maples he guided us to the Moon nurseries web site where we uploaded some pics, and he went to work designing which plants should go where, it was a breeze making the decision to go forward with his plan. A few days later his crew came in planted and cleaned the area leaving us in awe. Had all utility lines marked days in advance. Were super careful with sprinklers and planted the tree exactly where we wanted it. They also cleaned up the yard when they were done. We purchased 4 trees and 2 shrubs from Moon Valley the other day and we were very pleased with the whole process. We were met at the entrance by a salesperson who helped us find what we wanted and sat with us to discuss where we wanted them planted and how their service would work. We picked a delivery date that worked best for us and Richard and his team showed up and planted everything we bought. They were neat and kept everything clean. These guys are the best. They show at the time and date agreed upon. I have waited up to 2 months before hiring Moon Valley and his crews. Facebook marketplace contractors half don't answer their phone, the other half just don't show up Very knowledgeable and can tell which plants that take the heat and watering needs for your plants, We had a few not survive the heat, Moon Valley had them replaced in 3 days. Richard and his team did a great job planting our 8 foot tall yaupon holly. They called to let us know that they were on the way. They were courteous and good communicators on what they were going to do. Digging in this black clay is really hard work but they stayed focus and got it done. They used additives to the soil and the super moon juice, put mulch around and watered . They cleaned up great and did not step on my daisies . Thanks guys! read more
