The owner is very unprofessional and quite frankly appears to dislike this profession. I had a minor problem with an arrangement that had been delivered and immediately drove it back to get some help...this is when I met the owner who couldn't have made it any more clear that she didn't care. This expensive arrangement looked nothing like the one I had ordered. The arrangement needed some adjustments (to actually look like the one I had ordered) and I would have been more than satisfied to keep it. If not, I would have been better off buying flowers from Kroger and making my own. I was going to be giving it to my mother that evening at her birthday dinner, so I wanted it to be extra special. It was the owner's attitude that blew it for me. It really caught me off guard. I truly hope she was having a bad day and unaware and she was taking it out on everyone around her. I had lakeside Florist do my flowers for my wedding. When I went to pick up the flowers they were brown and wilted. The bridal bouquet was supposed to be cascading and it wasn't. The flowers were supposed to be mostly white roses with blue Hydrangeas and a few pink lilies. But, what I got was pink and what's looks to be tan roses. And they didn't even give me the bouquet to toss. I complained to the store managers d he said she would have them fixed and delivered to me before the wedding started. They did deliver, however they did not remove the bad flowers and only added a few good flowers. You can clearly see the flowers were not fresh in the photos. I sent an email and they still didn't respond. I would NOT use them for your wedding!!! Very poor service. read more

I ordered flowers for my mother's birthday and they were okay. Some of the flowers and leaves were brown and dead. I asked them not to use carnations, to replace them with anything else. Carnations were used abundantly. In our culture, Carnations are only used for funerals and dead people. So of course, imagine the shock my mother got on her birthday. Not only were the flowers subpar, the delivery was awful. They knocked on the door then left the flowers outside on the ground. Didn't even wait to have anyone open the door. The message inside was all messed up and didn't even make any sense. It was the worst flower delivery I have ever had happened. On my mother's birthday, no less. Never again will I use this florist. They obviously care very little about quality and the customer's instructions. read more

Basis for my rating: one star is the freebie given by Yelp - nothing can be rated zero stars so one star is just the company existing. The florist then earns a star if I have good experience in the following four categories: 2nd Star: Delivery; 3rd Star: Quality; 4th Star: Price; and 5th Star: Presentation. Delivery - they were prompt and delivered the product on time. Quality - completely missing - uploading photos - half the lilies never opened at all and most of the flowers started to die in 3 days. Price - For what I got - it was too expensive - way too expensive. I got far better flowers from kroger than I did from Lakeside as far as quality goes for half the price. Presentation - Terrible. Like I said, most of the lilies did not open - so while I thought - maybe they will look better in a day or two after the lilies open - they didn't... it just went downhill. So - that is the basis behind my review. Other people have great success here - but not me. I have had great difficulty finding a quality florist in Rockwall - it might just be a suburb thing - but I think I'll stick with the doctor in Dallas. read more

A family member ordered flowers for delivery on a Saturday for our mother's birthday on Sunday. I stepped out for a few minutes to run an errand and missed the delivery. They left a phone message, so I immediately called back and was told that the driver was already out of our area and would not be coming back until Monday. So those flowers are sitting for days, and I don't know what shape they will be in when finally delivered AFTER the special occasion. This was very disappointing. read more

Absolutely abhorrent. Was v day delivery that never showed. I called the shop at 330pm and was told they would be delivered. I called at 630pm and no one answered, obviously they were closed. However, they did not care enough to notify me that they would not deliver the flowers. I could have gone and picked some up if I knew they weren't going to show. For $76 I expect delivery on time, especially when you charge a $13 delivery fee. Keep your flowers, I have instructed my bank to stop payment. I will tell you the same on the phone tomorrow since you offer no route of cancelling orders on your website. Terrible service. read more

This florist went beyond the call of duty for me. I ordered flowers to be delivered to the hospital to find out later that my wife had already been discharged. They called me and said nobody in the room, how embarrassing. They gladly cancelled my order after attempting to make the delivery and refunded my money. I felt so bad about this, so I called them back on Monday and replaced the order to be delivered to my home in Forney. I am so glad I did as the arrangement was absolutely beautiful and lasted for over 2 weeks. I have saved them on my phone and will use them from this point on, Lakeside Florist ROCKS! read more

I did not have a working phone number for her, nor was I given the correct address for her house, but that didn't stop the persistent staff at Lakeside. She sent me a photo and they exceeded my expectations. The clear glass vase held a creative design of white Hydrangeas, huge Spider Mums, Snapdragons, and large perfect Roses with greenery! Gorgeous!
