The news Dr. Cathy had for us was devastating but she and Jenny were caring and compassionate through the whole visit. They were wonderful to our cat, with careful handling and demeanor she stayed calm and felt comfortable. They worked with me on how we could set up different options for payment. They also tried to help me save money by not running unneeded tests even though I did decide to have them done anyway. They left it up to me. So many vet clinics are pay now or no treatment, this place cares more about your pets than making a dollar. They are now my vet from now on. They are helping us care for Kilala until the end comes and will help us after as well. If we decide to have another cat we will definitely be back here.

Their name's gone, now you don't know who the hell I'm talking about. FAIRCHILD ANIMAL HOSPITAL also blocked me. I can't check to see if they deleted my review of their care of Missy. I have used this clinic for about 30 years, but their lack of after surgery care provided after regular business hours is ridiculous! It doesn't exist. Michael Lenover doesn't recommend Fairchild Animal Hospital. 3d * You need to let people know that you have no afterhours care for the pets left with you. Had I have known you were going to leave Missy unsupervised after surgery, I would have picked her up rather than leave her alone. She also apparently died eating dry food (so shortly after her surgery) as it was falling out of her mouth when I picked up her dead body. She might have died from choking on the food and your lack of after surgery care rather than her condition.

They take appointments, which is nice for us since our dogs get overly excited at the sight of other animals in the waiting room. The vet, Dr. Becky, was very caring and sweet to our dog. She not only looked at his problem foot, but also examined him entirely. She quickly diagnosed the problem. The office fee is $40, but trust me, the visit felt worth the price. When you get a thorough vet like her, you will rarely be coming back in a few days later because she missed something. The assistant called the next day to see how things were going, which is always nice so you can ask follow-up questions. We plan to board both of our dogs here over labor day weekend, so I'll update the review then to give information about that experience. If you're worried about the drive out here from Champaign, don't be. There is no traffic or stoplights, and the speed limit is about 50, 55 mph. You'll get there in no time.

We moved to CA a few years ago and miss Jan a lot! As a note - she is honest with you and you need to be ready for that. She told us, nicely and very professionally, that we needed to brush our boys more or she would not be comfortable grooming them. This was because each time they came in matted she saw the pain on the faces as she brushed them and could not let them through that. She knew we cared about the boys as well so this was something we took the time to work on and fix. Although we don't live there anymore we would recommend Bark Ave to anyone with dogs!
