You're charged $10 to see two very small rooms that consisted of a bedroom set a table, a couple guitars and a motorcycle. There is an art gallery I was told, but it was closed so I'm not able to attest to what is in there. I will say the gift shop is pretty nice and I can see where a lot of people would find some unique things in there, especially if someone likes unique glasses. I was very tempted to get a pair of Buddy Holly glasses. The people were not overly friendly, which is unusual for Lubbock. At least now I can say I've finally been there.

That never happened. I didn't take the opportunity to go to Stars & Stripes in Lubbock while I was a student as much as I should have, and after this visit, I feel regretful. My girlfriend and I took a trip to go see Backrooms at her request. The night we went wasn't a double feature night (some nights they show two movies back to back which I highly recommend), but I don't know if we would've stayed awake for two flicks! As showtime nears, the line to get in grows, so make sure to get there early to park in the best spots. We got to the theater about 10 minutes before showtime which gave us plenty of time to park our car, use the bathroom inside their retro-themed diner/concession stand, and order some snacks. For less than the price of a popcorn and two drinks at your standard theater, we got a popcorn, candy, a hot dog, a soda, and fried pickles. Their food is a typical concession stand affair. I wasn't blown away by anything, but it was all EXACTLY what I expected. The sun took its time to go down so by the time the movie started, it was a little dim due to it not being nautical twilight yet, but as the movie progressed, it was easier to see. You have a station to tune into for each movie, and it's slightly lo-fi and missed a little low end compared to a typical theater's sound system, but it's a drive-in, you gotta make a compromise somewhere. The only true issue was people randomly turning their headlights on mid-movie, blinding everyone nearby. Don't do that. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB My 8 & 9-year-olds loved the "Legacy of the Wind" seek and find. We received a few handouts soon after purchasing our tour tickets. Brochures and the like. Parking was free, ample, and just across the street. Will call was super quick. The Seminole native was absolutely a joy to watch. While she was a bit difficult to hear through their sound system between songs there in the Helen Devitt Jones Theater, her stories we did hear made us laugh hard and helped us realize how cowboy she really is. The modern facility had a spiral staircase just inside the main entrance plus their logo that both look like tornadoes. My significant other & I loved our seats ($88.45 apiece after fees & taxes) at Right Orchestra Loose, Row V, Seats 47 & 48. No one in front of us. No one behind us. We could scoot our chairs closer together - not like most of the theater's seats. During our event, it was required to purchase a reusable, refillable plastic commemorative Buddy sip cup that can be brought to other events for any beverage. The cup was $3. My single shot of Crown Royal whiskey with Coke was $10 (not including the $3 required cup). The staff members were all pleasant to deal with & mostly quick to eliminate nuisances.
