This place is legit! I've been coming to Vermont for the past 20 years every winter and I'm angry that I've only now stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. I had the Oh No Koh Swel (coconut chicken and noodles), the Moh Hinga (fish stew with noodles) and the tea leaf salad. Dude, so so good. And I really don't like coconut, but it was delicious. Moonwink is an amazing addition to the foodscape of the Northshire. I watched May assemble my falafel salad, carefully placing individual herbs in the bowl with chopsticks. The flavor was bursting forward with every bite - fresh herby-y, crunchy falafel, beautifully balanced and seasoned. The pork bowl is the perfect balance of soft, braised pork, rice and fresh cabbage salad...delicious, memorable. Would eat lunch here every day if I could. read more

Stopped in with the wife not knowing what to expect, as we had never had Burmese food before. Wow, were we pleasantly surprised. I had the fish stew with Burmese falafel and the wife had the fish stew as well with a fish cake on top. Had a nice chat with the chef / owner while we waited for our food. This place is only a couple of months old and run by a friendly husband and wife team. And boy, the food was great. The fish stew was bursting with flavor and everything in the stew, from the tomatoes to the green beans to the peppers, was super fresh. Highly recommend! read more

I love Moonwink. As a vegetarian, I am so pleased with their offerings. I particularly love their tofu curry dish. Their curry is made from scratch, as are there hot sauces if you want to kick it up a notch. The owners, Mae and Wes, Are friendly and engaging. This last Tuesday, I ate at Moonwink during my stay in Manchester, and tried Burmese food for the first time in the middle of Vermont! And I was so pleasantly surprised. The small family run restaurant, while very humble and simple in service and style, boasted extremely FRIENDLY and WARM service and atmosphere, and tasty tasty dishes! I ordered the Rice Bowl with Veggie Tofu Curry, and the flavor and texture was all delicious. I would highly recommend Moonwink to anyone looking for a change of pace and style in this area of Vermont, or to anyone simply looking for a delicious and affordable meal, with friendly service to back it.
