They rarely do a good job on the first try, which for me means that my yard is extra torn up from three different crews coming in and out over the course of a month or so trying to get my fence looking decent. I have pictures after the job was first finished that would make you cringe, pictures after the second crew came out to fix the first mistakes that might make you cringe a little less, and pictures after the third crew left that would have you cringing less, buts still scratching your head. Our neighbor had us use SC Fence to replace our old wood fence with vinyl. After they were done,…read morewe had horrible water leaking from them completely destroying the irrigation lines and the pouring concrete right through the bend. I spoke to them at that point and their response was belittling. Now two years later, I have a sprinkler head that finally popped up (we bought our house four years ago, so not all certain where our sprinkle heads were). They completely buried the head in concrete for the post of the gate. The concrete has never been able to dry properly as the head has just leaked water underground until it finally came up this week. This is infuriating. How do you not see a sprinkler head that you dug a hole out for? How do you just pour concrete over it?

We just put in a pool, outdoor kitchen and all new hardscape and landscape, so it was really important that the fence and gates fit the the design and look of our new yard. Edward took a lot of time talking to us about our options and it turned out fantastic. They also worked really well with our neighbors and ensured their happiness while installing the new fence. I called several fence contractors,  but Ed is the only one that called me back the same day,…read more Saturday.  We scheduled a walk through on Sunday.  Ed quoted a fair price for two wrought iron gates,  so we went with him.  when he came to measure for the specs, he did not have a tape measure,  and had to use mine.  I believe that someone else at the shop fabricates the gates.  On install day,  Ed informed me that he did not account for the cost of powder coating,  and requested an additional $250... on top of the signed contract price.  (Last minute price gouge,  or pricing oversight? )  Either way, we choose l.e. fence based on the price bid, so the extra $250 was not going to happen.  During install I discovered a broken ornamental finial the ed blamed on transportation.   Ed was the one transporting,  and the finial was sticking up,  so don't know how it could have broken.  He re-welded it, but didn't clean up the weld,  just sprayed over with spray paint.   Then he filled in two of the four post holes with concrete, and filled the other two with dirt- so I had a concert pad (that was formed for post holes ) with an iron post surrounded by dirt... I over heard ed telling his worker that he didn't want to have to go to all the way (15 min away) to homedepot to get another bag. After I addressed it with Ed, he asked "oh you wanted all of the holes filed? " He agreed to come back the next day and fill the concrete. I told him that I would just fill it myself (cost me two whole dollars for the bag of concrete) and we settled the contract. Now the two dollar out of my pocket to pour my own post holes was not a deal breaker, but a contractor that doesn't complete a job 100 percent prohibits me from using them again or referring their services. Not to mention the question if they will make up $250 oversight on the next job...
