This is how un- professional this Dayna lady is!! Responding to my bad review with aggression, attitude, excuses and sarcasm! Pets are pets and there shouldn't be hair everywhere. Parents, if you're ok with pets licking your kids face and them breathing in cat hairs then bring them here! And my husband quit smoking before my son was born (which is non of your business) don't compare! You simply don't provide a clean, safe and smoke free environment for children! Period! And clearly the crib where my son slept in isn't safe! Assuming that's how he got that significant scratch on his neck!! As soon as I told Dayna I was giving her a bad review on yelp for other parents to beware of this daycare, she began calling and texting me! Lol......at this point I had no interest in speaking to her, so yes I ignored her call and text! The damage was already done. My original review is not "OVERPLAYED" Myself as many other parents are looking out for the children's best interest and just want parents to know about this place. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS DAYCARE!!! Oh and btw, i had payed her for the 2 days she was going to watch my son in advance plus $10 extra to apply towards the next week bc neither of us had change! It was a total of $90 for both days. I gave her $100. I didn't get my money back, remember she was the one who terminated my son's care, not me. She didn't mention that on her "OVERPLAYED" review/response huh? My son (15mo) began Moore that Just Sittin Childcare in April 2017, going 2 days per week. And in September he will be going full time! My mother-in-law used to watch my son, when she told me she couldn't watch him anymore I was full of anxiety. While researching daycares, Mrs. Dayna came into my business to get copies. She mentioned she had a daycare and her place is less than 5 minutes from where I work. That week my husband went to check out her place and 2 weeks later my son started her daycare. Mrs. Dayna and staff are great! They are personable and really look out for the best interest of my son. My son is now 19mo., he is talking more, using 2 word sentences, trying to say colors, learning to share and I attribute some of these milestones to being at the daycare. read more

Dayna is one of the kindest care givers I have came across. She makes this daycare a warm and inviting environment for children of all ages. I am so glad we found her and that my now 18 month old enjoys her stay while with Dayna and her assistant. The hours are great and Dayna provides excellent healthy meals for our kids. There's no doubt that I am at ease when I go to work knowing that my child is cared, loved and taken care of with great attention. I highly recommend Moore than just Sitting to other families! Miss Dayna is AWESOME! My son went to Moore Than Just Sittin' for about a year, from about six months to eighteen months. He absolutely loved it there. Miss Dayna gives them a hot breakfast (no cold cereal here), snacks and a hot lunch. She is very careful with any dietary restrictions you provide and lets you know how your child's day went. My son was not just cared for, he was loved and nurtured - Missy Dayna keeps the babies busy with lots of interactive toys, outdoor activities and a little educational television. For the older children, she provides a preschool education. She's patient, kind, accommodating and treats all of these children as if they were her own. At Christmas, they have the most enormous tree I've ever seen in a private home - it's incredible! The ONLY reason we left was because I felt we were ready to move to a facility setting versus an in-home daycare. Now that my son is 3 1/2, and attending a preschool that takes long breaks like a traditional school, we are going back to Miss Dayna to fill in for when his school is closed - THAT'S how much we love her! We've stayed in touch, and a year and a half later, we are back! I can't believe its been almost a year since my son first started at this wonderful daycare. I'm so grateful to have found Ms. Dayna and Ms. Catie! Dayna is just the best she is super spontaneous and always so joyful. My son is 18 months old and he has been attending for about to 2 months now I am so glad we found her! She has this great vibe as soon as you meet her and honestly she gives you a sense a relief as you talk to her and get to know her a lot more. Something that to me is very important especially being a first time mom leaving my only child to the care of someone else. She does have animals which to me is a plus because my child loves dogs but unfortunately we do can not have one for him. Her dog is well trained super friendly towards the kid's. Transitioning from home childcare to private childcare is not an easy decision, but as parents we knew that it was time for our daughter to socialize and be put on a consistent schedule. Moore Than Just Sittin' Childcare has been a god sent. My daughter has been with Miss Dayna since she was 10 weeks old and recently left for Kindergarten and I don't think I could have found a better sitter. For all families who need outstanding care for their children, Mrs. Dayna is the best. My child has been cared for by her and Mrs. Katie for about a year and my child has positively grown intellectually, emotionally, and has learned to be well mannered around adults and children. I understand how important it is to find care that can resemble your own family values and goals. Therefore, when I interviewed with Mrs. Dayna, she gave me peace of mind, calmed down my anxieties, and gave me a personal connection that many day care centers couldn't deliver. Don't misinterpret my view of day care centers. They are good and did well with caring for an older child of mine but I learned that my priority for anyone caring for my other children would have to be someone that I can easily communicate and talk to. I also learned that a child's environment greatly influences their development, therefore I looked for a place that can resemble my home environment as much as possible and saw that my child felt at ease with her and Mrs. Katie! They were it! Throughout the year, my child has come home with projects that he's done there, he's learned how to name instruments and musical notes from her music classes, he knows all the basic colors,letters, and numbers with ease, he speaks to me in full sentences and best of all, he's made a best friend. Great Daycare! Both my children attend and look forward to going every day. They do art that comes home almost every day, Has circle time where they not only learn counting , letters, months, days of the week, seasons, shapes , colors , emotions and weather but letter and number recognition as well. My daughter just turned 3 and can tell you her full name, address, and date of birth. She is starting to write her name and can spell it with no problems. I love that each child also gets one on one time working at the table. They have 2 home cooked meals and 2 snacks that follows the food program guild lines. A set nap time with their own sleeping areas (on cots), Outside play on safe toys and are always supervised. During the summer they have water play where the children have a blast. Dayna also has holiday parties that are amazing especially the Christmas one. You can tell she loves and respects each child like her own! Dayna is amazing! Her childcare is called Moore than Just Sittin for a reason because she really goes above and beyond taking care of the kids. She provides great balanced meals and snacks. Sometimes I even want to eat with them. She teaches them things like the alphabet, numbers and shapes etc. They have arts and crafts. Play time and fun parties. Christmas is extra special because she even arranges for a Santa to come to her house for a family party to pass out gifts. Moore Than Just Sittin Childcare is great!! My son has been going there for the past few months and he loves it. He has become so much more vocal and friendly since he has been going to this daycare. Finding the right daycare for our son was a high priority for our family. He is a high energy toddler and we wanted to make sure we'd choose a stimulating and nurturing environment for him. It was also incredibly important to us that the transition from his grandma's care to a more structured childcare setting wouldn't be too hard on him. Our daughter started with Mrs. Dayna when she was 3 and it was the most seamless transition ever. She did really well socially! Mrs. Dayna and Mrs. Catie are super committed and dedicated caregivers. They are very loving, super creative and very structured. My daughter napped daily there (not so much at home), cleaned up there (not so much at home), and was excited about green beans! We loved receiving their daily crafts and projects. The Xmas party was so awesome. The kids and parents had so much fun. Mrs. Dayna is very giving, making each child feel special and loved. Our daughter has an egg allergy and it was hardly an issue. They adjusted and always included her in the goodies. Mrs. Dayna even went out of her way to learn eggless recipes for cookies, cupcakes, etc. I'm so thankful that her Epi pen never had to be used. I had a bad daycare experience with my first child when she was a little over one year - she had to be switched from my friend watching her, to a facility that could take her asap (not Dayna) - it was not good! Long story short --- I found Miss Dayna after my second child (they are now 3yr & 1yr), I didn't even want to go back to work after dealing with the first daycare, but after meeting Dayna I had a good feeling. I commute from South Gate to Newport Beach, I will not move closer to work and remove my baby girls from her care!!! I cannot imagine them anywhere else but with her. I have been taking my four year old son to Ms. Dayna 1 day a week for three months now, I chose to use Dayna because before she was a licensed childcare she used to watch my two oldest son's after school, they are now 21 and 18. They still visit her. She has always been kind and loving to all the children in her care. Many still have relationships with her even after they have left her care to move on to school. I personally have never had an issue not have seen anything in her home that raised any red flags. My son adores her assistant Ms. Catie. Ms.Dayna is an animal lover and my son enjoys the animals there and I have never had an issue with the sweet Labrador Dakota. Both of my children have been in Dayna's care for the last 2 years. Every day they come home with art projects and crafts. They have learned so much while under her care. Daily circle time, lesson plans, and even one on one teaching is awesome, but her commitment and excitement for the kids to learn and grasp the concepts is what sets her apart from other child care facilities. They also do a lot of outside play, and during the summer water play, that the kids truly enjoy. Every holiday she plans a little party for the kids, and every child gets a birthday party. When Dayna named this place more than just sitting the name describes it perfect. When I had my interview with Dayna she was more than friendly and after touring the house and watching the children play I knew this was the place I want my child. This daycare has a homey feeling and atmosphere it truly is more than just sitting my child loves going there and I like it because they do learn by play and teaching. She does treat my child like he's her own, she has birthday parties for all the children on their birthdays at Christmas time she brought in snow and a Santa and passed out Gifts. I think Dayna goes above and beyond just daycare she truly enjoys the children and they love her too, sometimes my son doesn't even want to come home with me he wants to be with Dayna. Occasionally she will take time to have a movie night for the children she puts up a tent they pop popcorn and watch a good Disney show. I want to start off by saying Thank you Dayna. I wasn't thrilled about enrolling JaXon into daycare I didn't think anyone could care for him as much as I could, but I was wrong boy was I wrong. Dayna treated my son like a King he loves her so much. Dayna n her husband Chuck are great people, Chuck interacts with the kids and all the kids love him when he gets home the kids r running to him it's a beautiful sight to see. Dayna n Chuck are like family to us. Dayna always made sure to let us know of any scratches, cuts, bo boo's right away. Dayna's 1st priority are those kids. She doesn't hide the fact that she has animals, I'm personally allergic to cats but I can sit in her house n not feel like I'm gonna choke n die cuz I'm allergic (I've been to other people's home n experienced it) Dakota the dog is big but lovable wouldn't hurt a fly she's so friendly and great with the kids.
