I made an appointment weeks in advance for an early morning and put both online and with the lady on the phone that the a/c was not working -- the air blows but it doesn't get cold. Brought my car in on time. The person at the desk told me they couldn't say when it would be looked at as they "only have two a/c techs." Went for a local appointment and walked by Eccles 2 hours later -- my car was still in the same spot I left it. Went home, called four hours after I'd left my car there for an update as I hadn't heard anything. They hadn't looked at it yet and didn't know "where it is in the lineup." ??? Isn't the point of having a 9:30 appointment that it is in the 9:30 slot? Isn't that what anyone would expect for an appointment anywhere? Would anyone who works at Eccles be ok with this themselves -- dinner reservations, dentists, doctors, haircuts, anything? You show up at 9:30, hang around until 1:30, ask them when you'll be seen and they tell you they don't know where you are in the lineup? No. I told them in that case I would come pick up my car and take it to the dealership. Did so. Got there and got my keys and the lady said, "I'm sorry, I was hoping I could get it looked at today, but we only have two a/c techs." WHY ON EARTH ARE YOU OFFERING A SERVICE THAT YOU CAN'T DO? If you can't do it, don't make us go through the effort of time off work to bring it in only for you to hold the car hostage because you aren't actually able to fill the service that day. How long would it have been sitting in that lot, waiting just for someone to look at it and figure out what's wrong? Never again. Never ever ever taking a car of mine to Eccles ever again.

When I went back to tell them about the issue (granted it was more than 24hrs) they told us that they couldn't do anything, that we would need to pay again to realign (despite telling us to come in after we called them about the issue). Our most recent interaction was subpar making it difficult to consider this place further. Honestly, the owner is a nice person, but apart from that the service is not what it used to be.

The mechanic, Shane, was incredibly thorough and the fact that I know I can trust that the things they tell me I need are actually needed instead of just trying to make a buck off me is the best part. They will also give me a heads up of things I need in the future so I can financially plan for it. Even the car cleaner is wonderful. He went above and beyond and cleaned the inside of my passenger window because soil oil spray has gotten into the window well and I hadn't had a chance to clean it yet. I've been taking my 2019 Suburban and my previous 2009 Silverado to Stop N Go for probably more than 10 years. Shane, Matt and Todd always make sure they take the best care of me. I recently moved 2+ hours away but still take my Suburban to them for my regular maintenance because I trust their knowledge, skill and honesty the most that I couldn't imagine putting my truck in someone elses care. Thanks for always taking care of me and making sure I'm safe, as well as always making me feel like family rather than just a customer. It's comforting to not have to worry and be able to trust in a world full of worry and distrust!

I had a warning light for transmission service so when I Googled the warning it said transmission…read moreservice was required and a likely cause was a pressure sensor . I called Stop N Go to set up an appointment and was told the fee would be $140 and we would go from there . When they called back to tell us the status of their findings they also included other error codes that popped up when they plugged in the diagnostic tool . Long story short it would be over $1,000 including tax to address their findings and they offered no guarantee that this was the answer to the problem . I asked for a breakdown of their cost and I found the cost of the OEM sensor was inflated from $150 to $350 and of course another $180 labour to change it . Their cost to change the transmission fluid was $330 over the phone but $270 when I asked for the costs in print . The cost is $149 to flush and change the transmission fluid at Speedy . The $140 diagnostic fee went form $140 to $189 to tell me exactly what I learned on the internet before I brought it in . They also claimed it took them two hours of shop time to diagnose this as well . They had the car for a total of two hours from the time we dropped it off and I do not believe it was worked on for two hours . They did make a show to pull it down from the hoist when we came to pick it up . We gave the job to Speedy and they did the complete job with a new OEM pressure sensor the same day for $470 . So at the end of the day I saved over $600 with Speedy .Im also out $213.53 ($189 plus tax) to realize "Stop N Go" are a "No Go" . Beware , these guys tried to take advantage of us and I am sure they will do it to you too . The only good thing about this is I can warn you here .

I called the last shop to verify the make an model of the filter that they had installed and it's the one still installed (ACDelco). I called Midas and asked what filter they had installed and their records showed Purolator. I wanted more than a refund this is ridiculous, and possibly fraudulent. If it was a mistake then the fact that they overbook so much that this can happen is ridiculous. I have and sent them the pictures clearly showing this is not a new filter, but I got a refund on services not provided.

When I dropped it off they told me they couldn't do it while I waited (so it took ALL DAY). I had my tires swapped and they didn't do the inspection. When I asked about it they said to bring it back in a few weeks when it was less busy. When I called back to arrange, the lady on the phone was only interested in telling me they don't do inspections, even though it had been acknowledged by management already. She finally conceded and I was given a time to come. When I arrived I couldn't even get on the lot it was so packed, even though they told me to come at that time. While I was parked on the side of Danforth with my hazards on, waiting, the same lady came out to talk to me, so I said "I'd rather not argue with you" as I had no interest in going over it again. She then walked back to the lot and audibly called me an asshole to the manager, who was moving cars. When I confronted him about it he said he'd "talk to her". I asked for an apology and was told "I can't make another adult apologize". That goes for employees too I guess. He said he would call me back about the inspection and didn't. Wow is all I can say. I took it to my mechanic and they confirmed there was nothing wrong with the ABLC but it was unplugged and could only have been unplugged by someone under the car. Midas was the last place we took the car and right after that the AC stopped working. Whoever worked on this car is completely dishonest and untrustworthy. Avoid this location at all costs.

After the work the car was driving like new. So far so good. About 6 months later, time to change to winter tires, during which I was told that a component of the stuff they repaired in the spring was showing early signs of wear and they would replace it under warranty. I bring the car in for that, and afterwards the car steering seems weird, weird enough that I think it's unsafe to drive. I return but get no resolution. During a conversation a few days later I find out that when they replaced the failing part under warranty they used a part from another manufacturer, and claimed it was better. Perhaps, perhaps not. They replaced it again with a new one from the first manufacturer. The steering is still as weird as before. So the part is not the problem. I finally find out that the mechanic that worked on it in the spring is not the one working on it now. I was basically told to go to another garage to get it fixed. Obviously they don't have a good mechanic any more. What a waste of time.
