This is such a fun spot for mini golf! They have two 18-hole courses. Both of the courses are fun with exciting elements, but the lower course is more interesting than the top course. The first 9 hole of the lower course are handicap accessible and I'm not sure if just the first 9 of the top course is accessible or if the whole course is accessible, but there are more ramps and sloping ground in the top course compared to the lower course. One thing I appreciate about both courses is that they are not repetitive like many other mini golf courses. Each hole has a unique aspect to it. The score card also has an I-spy checklist on the back, which gives groups another activity to do while playing or waiting for the group ahead of you to finish a hole. This is optional, but it ties into their theme of Maine wildlife. Everything here feels cohesive and their layout is well-planned. However, I do wish there was more lighting for the upper course. We played that one second, so it was getting dark and a few areas were difficult to see. Especially if you're going in the evening, I recommend playing the top course first if playing both. Their ice cream options were also good, with several unique offerings from Hersheys as well as some standard options. The ice cream prices seemed reasonable and on par with other places in the area. The mini golf prices are higher than some other places I've been (especially for playing both courses), but the courses were fun. read more

While it looks really nice, unfortunately the courses themselves are just okay. It's very expensive compared to other mini golf courses in the state. And looks alone it would seem to be worth it, but once you get on the course it's really "easy". Each hole is almost exactly the same. There's no real obstacles or challenge. Maybe a turn or a rock, but that's really it. It was pretty boring. An 18 hole took about 20 minutes. It's all looks, but no attraction. And for the high price ($25 a person) it's not really worth the trip. read more

Would give it no stars if I could. The worst display of customer service and empathy I've encountered at minigolf and just anywhere in general. We pulled up around maybe 7:58PM or so due to I'm always one to try to arrive to anyplace at least an hour before closing. We first went to the right side (which was the wrong way) then went to the left then spent maybe 2-3 mins looking at their menu then walked up to the mini golf window where no one was there, I knocked a few times and a girl appeared and said they were closed for the night... I questioned why they say they are open till 9pm, she said "oh there are a few people playing so we are closing minigolf now so everyone finishes by 9 cause it can take a while." I then explained we just drove over an hour from Camden to play here and that we are from out of state visiting Maine where I then received a "yeah sorry." What a joke, never ever will return here again on my trips to Maine and surely hope others see this review and don't bother stopping here with that type of treatment. The owner definitely should talk to the young girl and explain this thing called empathy and if 2 people come in at 8:05pm to let them play esp after driving an hour and when the next group I saw was on hole and it looked to be a group of 6... we would have been behind them waiting in no time. read more

Richmond has definitely needed something like this for a while. I like the "layers" into the rock. I like the fact that we could get ice cream right there. The course is new so, clearly, well "maintained" at least at this point. We liked looking for the hidden animals. Just a little something extra. I understand the novelty of pulling the flag from each hole as you play but, to me, that was not a positive. We asked the family in front of us to just leave it out when they were done. My only "complaint" and I use that word very lightly - is that there was a large group in front of us. They took forever which left the family in front of us and ourselves standing around - a lot. I don't know how to, or even that you could, fix that. All in all, solid 4. We had fun. read more

Great mini golf in richmond. Awesome course. Fun atmosphere with music and lots of water. Ice cream available and slushies. There was also an amatos food truck there. Great friendly employees. Good prices. Fun environment. They also have mineral hunting or gold panning. Table top games for the kids, umbrellas for the sun or rain, and they are going to build a second 18 hole course. read more

Let me tell you, I have played hundreds of games of mini golf in my life and Moose Mountian in Richmond Maine is by far the best mini golf around! While, Florida has tons and tons of mini golf that are all fantastic, none of them have anything on Moose Mountian ! Outside of being such a fantastic mini golf destination, they have Moose Mountian mining and are also working on adding an additional 18 Hole mini golf course! Last but certainly not least their staff are absolutely fantastic! Charlie greeted us and was so kind and sold us our tickets and gave us the scorecard. Clementine at the end of our experience served us up some amazing slushy! She is so sweet and kind and has such a nice smile!! The golf course is well kept, clean, and super fun! I will recommend this wonderful location to all of my friends and family and will certainly be back again soon! Can't wait to try the back 18! read more

As a mini-golf in Maine (which there are not a whole lot of), I've played better. Pros: 1) There weren't a whole lot of bugs/mosquitos 2) Putting surfaces were well maintained (although the "roughs" and "sands" were already starting to shed) Cons: 1) The course was blasted out of bedrock, and it seems that the majority of the holes are putts UP the side of the bed rock, which is no fun. Also, the course crosses over itself, and can be confusing. 2) The "challenge" is not manufactured, but is supposedly due to the nature of the rock. But the whole point of mini-golf is to have fun, and be a little bit challenged. There are too many places where a missed putt would send you all the way back down to the start of the hole. It seems like way more luck than skill, where I feel that a mini-golf course should have a good mix of both. There should be holes where holes-in-one are possible, but.... 3) The flags. I get what they are trying to do here - the flags make it "Feel" like a real golf course. The only problem is it's not a real golf course it's mini-golf. The cups are small enough that if the flag is in the cup, there is not legitimate way of scoring a hole-in-one on any hole. And the constant need to pull up the flag in order to put into it causes delays on the course. 4) On multiple holes, your ball can get stuck underneath an overhanging rock, making it impossible to putt. 5) No stand to set your scorecard down on to score the hole. 6) Not enough benches - and where there are rocks suitable to sit down on, there are signs saying NOT to sit on the rocks. 7) Putter organization is atrocious (See attached picture). They need a better way to organize the 4 sizes of putters. Even 4 colored bins to match the colors on the putters would be better that what they had. 8) The putting start areas had putting matts that were not put into the green, they were sitting on top - which makes putting from the matt more difficult because it's not a smooth putt. 9) The 18th hole is also the ball return hole. Which is different from every other mini-golf I've ever played, where the 18th hole is a normal hole, and you get a chance for a free game on the "19th" hole. Overall: I understand what they were trying to do - bring some mini-golf to the small town of Richmond. But I honestly think that this had no design in mind. It feels like instead of planning out a course and then blasting the bedrock, they did the opposite. Which means they couldn't control what the holes looked like or how they played. Which means uneven putting greens, and not many opportunities to have fun, when you are constantly putting up a slope, or missing putts because the ball is stuck, or the pin won't let it drop in the cup. read more

The mini golf was fun and challenging for adults. There is a nice sitting area with toddler toys and another covered spot above the course with views of the action. The ice cream area had picnic tables with small games (trivia, tic tac toe, jenga,...) which may be the "adventure park" aspect, or maybe there will be other activities in the future. For now, it's a fresh mini golf course with unique holes. Yes, the flags are unnecessary and there are many tough shots due to rock features, but overall it's a fun course. We really enjoyed the course, and having visited many mini golf courses in Maine, I found this one to be the most unique and fun so far. Golfing through a bear's den? Around a lobster shack? Through a PLINKO-style set of log stumps? YES!! The constant water features, native animal carvings, and natural wildlife made a very cohesive Maine feel to this course. My 11 and 14 year olds found it challenging but fun, and we honestly just stopped keeping score because we were having such a good time with it. We'll definitely be back! read more
