Empire Tax Advisors / Practice Wealth Partners / Dr Accountant) First off, this business has over 9 different Yelp profiles to try and hide their negative reviews, and they all contain fake business addresses. This is a ghost business, be very careful as they are facing a possible class action lawsuit, and already have an active New York court case against them which they are hiding from. ​I hired this firm based on marketing promising comprehensive "All Under One Roof" CFO services (monthly bookkeeping, payroll, and tax returns). They collected ongoing fees but delivered virtually none of the promised work product. Payroll was never set up, quarterly filings were neglected, and my files were left in total disarray. ​When I terminated the relationship for cause, the situation severely escalated: ​The QuickBooks Lockout: They intentionally held my business financial records hostage, deactivating my admin access and ignoring four formal, tracked written demands for my records. ​Unauthorized Post-Termination Access: Software audit logs proved their team continued accessing my private corporate financial data after termination until I forcefully overrode their access. ​Gross Factual Discrepancy: They generated a baseless $100,000 tax liability estimate with zero supporting documentation. A certified professional had to reconstruct my books from scratch for $2,500, ultimately filing a correct return that was roughly 80% lower than Empire's arbitrary figure. ​ACTIVE LAW SUIT UPDATE (June/July 2026): I have filed a formal lawsuit against Empire Tax Professionals Inc. in the Civil Court of the City of New York (Small Claims Part, Manhattan), Index Number: SC-001749-26/NY. ​The "Ghost Office" Facade: When the New York City Civil Court attempted to serve the official legal summons to Empire's publicly advertised corporate headquarters, the official mail was returned by the post office stamped "Return to Sender -- Undeliverable/Vacant." I have uploaded the unredacted photos of this returned court envelope directly to this review. It proves they are using a fake physical address to mislead consumers about their operational size and location. ​They attempted to settle this dispute with lowball offers of $3,000 and $3,500 tied to strict non-disparagement orders.
