I LOVE this shop! All of the hairdressers are top-notch! I started going to Marie about 10 years ago at the suggestion of a friend as I wanted a new "do". My friend was ever so right that Marie was the person to give me that new look. I have been going to Marie ever since for cut and color. She even shapes my brows. She is extremely professional and personable. It amazes me that she is ALWAYS on time. I have never waited beyond my appointment time. On the one occasion that another hairdresser was asked to do my hair (Marie was in Spain), Marie left detailed notes for Denise on how to not only do my hair, but my brows, too. She is "old school" professional, which is refreshing. At the same time, the shop is very up-to-date. Marie takes courses in the latest trends and styles. She is magnificent! Marie Bedard is THE BEST! More Than Just Hair is far and above any of the salons I frequented in the Bay Area before moving to the area over 20 years ago. In my opinion, it is the best salon in the Sierra Foothills. Marie was recommended by my first employer in the area. She has been taking care of my very difficult fine hair ever since. Michael started styling my hair a couple months before my wedding in 1996. That's around 300 hair apt. (colors, highlights, cuts, styles, keratin and many other hair treatments) and I've loved them all. He cares about his clients. I know this, because he moved to Idaho and made an 11 hour drive each way once a month for over a year just to do his clients hair, wow! So of course I made the drive to Sutter Creek to the charming and quaint salon, More Than Just Hair. I love this salon! I started going to Just Hair when it first opened over 30 years ago. When they moved to the current location they added more services and changed the name to More Than Just Hair. They are what their names says they are...concerned with more than just your hair. They offer great services and the staff is friendly, professional, and listen to what you want. Due to circumstances beyond my control I had to use a salon in Sacramento for a few years and am very glad to be back at More Than Just Hair.
