When I restored my '66 Mustang back in 1995, I got referred by Slim's to Morehouse and Big John. As a broke high-school kid, I'm not sure I would have been able to finish my car without the Morehouse crew! They put on new quarter panels, trunk floors, and a whole exhaust system for a couple hundred bucks, and then Slim coated it in candy apple red. I vividly remember when I first visited their shop, they were welding up an enormous ferris wheel and had a hundred cool old cars in the lot. Jake, Jim and Jeff are honest and awesomely reliable. Unlike many other companies they are honest and have integrity. I stopped by the Village Quick Lube in Newtown yesterday for an oil change and they recommended I go out to Milford to get a crack in my exhaust pipe repaired at this family owned and operated welding shop. I gave the Morehouse guys a call and got in first thing this morning. They had my car on a lift and my exhaust patched up in 30 minutes. They charged me only $60 for the repair! That's probably a couple hundred bucks less than the dealers and auto chain stores who would have replaced the whole pipe even though all I needed was a patch. On top of doing good work for a great price, the guys were really friendly as well. I highly recommend this shop. It's a bit of a drive to Milford from where I live, but these guys do a quality job quickly and inexpensively, making the trip very worthwhile. Since my car doesn't seem to be learning how to fix itself I'll definitely be coming back here and sending friends here as well. read more

Had a exhaust pipe repaired , These guy's are awesome . Up on a lift , job done Didn't sound like an angry woman coming down the road when he got done. Welded in 2 places I started the car and turned it back off cause I didn't think it was running. So quite, just a Great Home Town privately owned and operated business. After struggling to install a kit style catback exhaust for my vehicle myself and running into fitment issues I called and spoke to them .I was told to bring it over for them to see upon arrival to schedule a look. They happened to have a open bay and took me straight in and had me done right in 20 min . I found them to be knowledgable and excellent in thier craft the building they work from could be a little fancier or cleaner but these guys are working class men with the skill to weld anything you need done.
