He introduced me to methodical ways to approach reading passages, fully comprehend the questions, what to do when you are stuck, and more. Prior to working with Dr. Donnelly, I had no method for answering CARS questions, and oftentimes I lacked confidence in my answers. After working with Dr. Donnelly, I ended up getting a 130 on CARS and a 525 overall. I think part of what made our work together so impactful was that he really taught me how to understand and approach the MCAT in a way I hadn't been previously. He always explained questions in a way that made sense -- sometimes offering several explanations to make sure I understood the logic behind each question or approach I was confused on. Additionally, he provided me with so much practice material (including full lengths) that I really felt like I could properly target my weaknesses. For example, running out of time was always an issue for me; however with Dr. Donnelly's method and materials, I was able to increase my speed immensely! As I said previously, I really think that I was able to take what he taught me in CARS and apply it to other sections -- especially when I was stuck. He spent 1.5 hours each time talking about his wife and showing my daughter Photos of his vacations. He also told us he was fired from his teaching job for punching a student. After that we were only able to schedule tutors virtually because no one was available in our area. The tutors we're going to school and working so the times were very inconvenient. We used 16 hours of tutoring. They charged me for the three hours of the tutor that wasted our time. We had agreed to 36 hours in our contract. Don't waste your $$$$! There are local tutors that charge $25-50 an hour in person tutoring at your convenience not at the convenience of students with limited time or with bad teachers!

Their final project was the recitation of a five-paragraph story. She read it aloud once. He took notes, reconstructed it in writing, and repeated the full story back to her word for word.
