I hired Morgan & Morgan to represent me in my Social Security Disability appeal. Mr. KC Lehmann was assigned to handle my case. From the beginning, communication was nearly nonexistent. I repeatedly left phone messages, emails, and texts over several months with urgent questions about my case status and never received a timely response. While my health deteriorated and my appeal moved through critical deadlines, I received no guidance or updates. Mr. Lehmann did not return calls, respond to emails, or provide any meaningful assistance. My case was denied at the reconsideration stage, and I learned of the decision through the Social Security portal--not from my attorney. This lack of professionalism and communication has caused me severe stress and further harm. I have used Morgan and Morgan twice. Once was in 2017. Once was last year. Both were for rear end car accidents. The first one I was a passenger, my husband was the driver, my sister-in-law was in the back seat. We were hit by a commercial vehicle when we were stopped at a stop light. We SHOULD have gotten quite a large settlement. We got very little. I'm not sure why I hired them the second time. I was rear-ended by a 12 year old that had taken his mom's keys and was driving around the parking lot. Again, I should have gotten quite a large settlement. The lawyers got nearly half of what my settlement ended up. I won't make the same mistake if I ever need to hire an attorney again. The TV commercials that say they get people over $100K are greatly exaggerated. All 3 settlements plus my most recent didn't even come close to $50K. I'm very disappointed. read more

This company should be sued for false advertising! The recorded garbage when you're on hold touts "so claim to big or small" yet they refuse to take small cases! I brought a case to them that they refused to take, went to another attorney and he got the money I was owed. Now I have a personal injury case and they refused to take that one too. What a scam company! Y'all should be called Liar & Liar! There's no value to this company. They're total trash! Go find a local attorney with integrity. Unfortunately had experience dealing with a number of lawyers/law firms throughout my life but this experience was by far the worst. To start I was told my case would be settled & litigation wouldn't need to be filed but at the slim outside chance it did I would be consulted prior.. Roughly 6 weeks later litigation was filed & done so without consulting me - I wasn't notified until about 8-10 weeks after. Needless to say communication throughout the process was severely lacking, it was hard to reach anyone & when I was able to reach someone getting answers to direct questions &/or status updates was impossible. After litigation had been filed my attorney changed 4 times - never could get an answer on why this was but it definitely didn't help matters with my case & repeatedly had to give my new attorney the same documents & Statements I had already previously supplied, was given multiple inaccurate days & times for depositions & mediation which required me to miss 2x the amount of work I should of had to miss which ultimately led to me losing my job. You would of thought I hired a brand new law firm with all brand new attorneys fresh out of law school, extremely unorganized. Prior to mediation I had asked my attorneys assistant as well as my attorney (during mediation seeing as I could never get him on the phone or an apt any other time) what my total expenses/costs sat at, I was told by both my only costs/expenses were my Original ER visit & the Chiropractors they referred me to & accepted a settlement based upon that, little did I know there was another 8-10k in expenses/costs they failed to tell me about!! The majority of which was for a life care plan THAT WAS NEVER EVEN COMPLETED. I wasn't told this was something that was needed until the day of mediation when my attorney stated it hurt our position for a better offer by not having it completed. never had any in person or over the phone appointments for this expense, wasn't even contacted by the provider until AFTER my case had been settled, I wasn't given the ability/opportunity to shop around myself & find a more reasonable provider that I was comfortable with & why wasn't the lifecare plan & it's cost disclosed prior to mediation?? Why was I forced to pay for something that was never even completed?? No appointments, No report or anything!! While I realize I hired an attorney to represent me, I did NOT give up my rights by doing so & was kept in the dark throughout the course of my case. Needless to say had I been given an accurate accounting of my total costs I would NOT have accepted the settlement offer that I ultimately accepted but unfortunately wasn't informed about my real total costs until it came time for me to sign the closing statement 2-3 months after accepting said settlement offer & all after I had asked multiple times what my full costs stood at prior to accepting a settlement offer so I could base any offer off my costs incurred & any future costs. The only reason I ended up signing my closing statement is 1. The attorneys assistant said she had gotten the life care plan provider to give me a partial refund (partial, really?? Again never completed but only partial refund SMFH ‍) that would be mailed directly to me & 2. At that point I was honestly so sick of dealing with this crap I just wanted it to be over so I begrudgingly signed the closing statement after initially refusing to do so. That was the beginning of august and to this day 11/15/24 STILL have yet to receive that partial refund 3 months after the fact!!! I reached out to in September to follow up on that partial refund & get the provider information so I could reach out directly to inquire about that & my attorneys assistant refused to supply that information & hasn't responded since!!!! Honestly makes me question if this was just a made up expense to take more of the settlement, especially factoring in it not being disclosed or contacted about until after accepting my settlement offer. During mediation my attorney complained the entire time about how long it was taking, how he had settled multi million dollar deals in half the time - guess he didn't want to spend too much time on my small potato's case - begs the question what exactly the 40% contingent fee actually covered seeing as every other cost & expense was on top. Honestly feel like I got screwed & in hindsight would of just been better off accepting the original settlement offer I was given prior to hiring M&M & running up any chiropractor bills as it would of been 2 years Sooner & about the same amount of $, I could have invested that sum for the 2 years & had more $ than what I ultimately got when everything was finalized. I guess as the saying goes in these situations the only ones that make $ are the lawyers & doctors!!! When all was said & done the Attorneys contingent fee ended up being more than what I was able to put in my pocket for any future expenses/cost from injuries sustained. read more

I was in a car accident back in August 2021 and other person what at fault. I also found out I was pregnant ( had to deal with a high risk pregnancy due to the accident). It was a hard time for me and took a while to get back to "normal." His insurance was trying to low ball me with settling with $2000.00 for my injuries. I called Morgan and Morgan. It was process due to the fact that I was pregnant and being high risk so I couldn't do treatment right away. After I had my baby, I started treatment and was kept in loop about everything. I did end up switching attorneys but Ms Amanda D. kept me informed on what was being done and what was needed to complete my case. I was able to walk away with a large lump sum. Total misrepresentation from the commercials. First of all I waited for a return phone call after my initial phone call to them. That never happened, so I called them back. After all of that, they did not want to take my case with absolutely no explanation given. I suspect it would not put enough money in their coffers or they did not want to go up against Watson Clinic (which I have heard before). At any rate don't waste your time with Morgan & Morgan unless you are half dead ($$$) and it didn't happen by the hands of Watson Clinic. read more
