As for the course, the rough is ROUGH. Hard to get out of. The grass is just different from any rough we've played. The grass feels deeply rooted and thick making it hard to get the ball out. It's best to stay in fairway as much as possible. The greens were in good condition. It's best to hit moderately even though looking at the grass being short assuming it would be fast. The sand is beautiful groomed and in perfect condition. I was told that the sand is similar to the sand in Augusta- beautifully crushed white quartz. It was tempting to lay on the ground to make sand angels, lol! Enjoy the infamous hole 16! Harder than it looks. We had Remington as our caddie between 4 players, and he was great and helpful. Tipping for caddie was at least $50 or more per player. We ate at the Toro restaurant for breakfast we were very pleased at their above and beyond service. Overall, great experience!

I have been there when there was over 232k people in attendance, I am media, so I fortunately don't have to deal with the people because we have the inside the ropes media passes and walk with the golfers and caddies. It is challenging due to undulating fairways and greens where our group truly enjoy the round. Will definitely return when I find good deals on teeoff.com again. Nice golf carts with TuneIn stations. But the practice area certainly wasn't. Being a lefty, I found one small area of grass in one stall. But all the other areas were chewed up. To get to my hitting stall, I had to walk across at least 30 yards of pristine grass. For the life of me, I don't understand why they couldn't have moved the tees back 3 yards and given all the golfers some grass to hit off of.

The clubhouse and amenities are amazing. The practice areas are very spacious and in great shape. The range was in perfect condition. The course was also in great shape...some yellow patches in the pictures but as you're standing out there it's really green and clean. Greens were smooth and never had a ball bounce offline. The weather was very nice, low 80s with a cool breeze and patchy clouds throughout the day. I played with friends from out of town and everyone had an amazing time. Both courses are very approachable regardless of your skill level. The fairways are wide enough that you won't lose too many balls from wayward shots. I shot in the low 80s on both courses...was hoping to have at least one round in the 70s but missed too many putts. Looking forward to booking and playing out here again!

Eagle Mountain is always a favorite of my wife, but We-Ko-Pa is by far the greatest course, playing conditions and the scenery are out of this world. Grayhawk is the usual beatifull but tough course. I was scrolling through my pictures thinking, "Man, I gotta write this review," and then I see people giving this place low ratings. Low ratings? Were we on the same planet? Did you accidentally golf in a Walmart parking lot instead? Because this place is flat-out gorgeous. Arizona already feels like it cheated at golf. Every course looks like it belongs on a postcard, but this one? This one flexes a little. Easy top three for me. You've got two 18-hole courses, both designed to politely shake your hand... and then rob you blind. I'd call it about an 8 in difficulty. Not impossible, but it'll absolutely have you questioning your life choices by hole 12. Now let's talk strategy. You can ride in a golf cart like a king, sipping drinks, living your best life... or you can do what we did get out and walk like a couple of overconfident heroes who forgot we're not 21 anymore. By the back nine, we weren't golfing... we were negotiating with our legs. "Just one more hole, boys... we can make it..." The restaurant? Solid. Food hits the spot, drinks go down easy, and by the time you sit down, you feel like you actually earned it instead of just chauffeuring yourself around the desert. By the end of the day, we were sun-cooked, leg-burned, slightly humbled... and loving every second of it. Long day, half hustle so we didn't get run over, and a full reminder that golf is a game that will smile at you while quietly ruining your scorecard. Bottom line if you get the chance to play here, do it. And maybe stretch first... learn from our mistakes.
