Decided to do breakfast here today and the food that we received today was horrible and when I expressed my concern to the server, she did not offer to remake our omelette and I truly believe because I said my wife and I are going to share our brunch. They gave us less. This is so unfair. We spend money here all the time as well as other people in our community and family members as well but to be treated as if we are not valued as customers doesn't sit well with me. I am honest I am of good report in the community. I am a minister and I work hard for my money. Morg's will not get my business again or at least for a very long time.

This young man is a local at Morg's. He's 92 years old and still pilots and airplane. These types of men inspire me.

Went in early for breakfast. Jane, our waitress a riot. We had the best time talking and laughing. Morg's is the local hangout. It was owned for years by a gentleman who when he hit in his 80's he sold Morg's to his employee's. Our breakfast, Eggs, bacon toast were on point. The local coffee they serve wasn't my favorite. However a very nice breakfast spot and the local flavor is free.I'd stop back into Morg's if passing through again. Hello Jane

I like trying local restaurants with character and this seemed like a great choice. The atmosphere was perfect. Because of covid, the counter was replaced with a couple of two seater tables instead of counter stools, which is where we sat. Diners are usually quick in and quick out. We got there right at noon and we waited about 10 min for a table. The parking lot was full and we learned that if it was full, all tables are taken. Not sure what was going on but it took at least 45 min to get our food. We ordered one piece of French toast, hashbrowns, and a bacon cheese burger. There are prob only 12 tables on the whole place. It took waaaayyyyy too long. We could see the grill area from our table so truly not sure why it took so long. Food was good. The hashbrowns were HUGE and nice and crispy. Our waitress was friendly. Atmosphere was awesome so gave a little higher rating but I hope they figure out the cooking times soon.

I wish I had a bigger stomach to try everything. Chicken fried steak was great. Best hashbrowns I have ever eaten and I usually pass on them at other restaurants. Get the cheesy hashbrowns. I do not get out this way much, but will be back for sure when in area.

Arrived early just ahead of the Sat morning crowd. Service was wonderful, everything tasted great. & the pancake was the size of ur head. 1 can easily be shared.

When you come to morgs be sure to come hungry. Big potions of great food, and a look at how a lunch place looked in the 60s . The place still looks the same. The plates come loaded and the price is right. The pancakes look like a hubcap and are light and fluffy. A Waterloo institution that hopefully will be here for years to come.

Country Omelette!! You cannot go wrong!!

Ok! If you are hungry??? Go to Morgs. I do not know the history, but have a feeling it is a staple of the downtown Waterloo. It is a one or two rows of tables and chairs and the kitchen. Pretty much something out of a western/farming diner in a movie. Oh yes it could be in a National Lampoon Vacation movie as well. Anyhow I had an omelette and hasbrowns. Pretty much took up my half of my table. The breakfast was delicious and the service ws good. This is a hopping little place full up on a Wednesday morning around 7am. Great Job. i will be back!

The Famous Morg's: Staying downtown, the Waterloo locals recommended the gigantic pancakes at Morg's. Knowing it's always best to listen to local folks about great food, I paid it a visit the next day. It's a small American diner like any other small American diner with one awesome difference: the giant pancakes rock. For me, all I needed was one pancake and I couldn't even finish it. (Neither could my friend.) Even during a crowded lunch rush, they got us seated almost immediately. Though there was a short wait for service, they got us our food in a timely way, and it was a fun outing. Yup, listen to the locals. This little hole-in-the-wall Downtown Waterloo diner is famous in the area. This is the place to go for breakfast or brunch, folks. Check it out. I told a stranger I ran into about Morg's, and he instantly knew all about it, having gone may times over the years. He said it's famous! They just need a bigger place to fit all the people, but that would take away from its mid-Century charm! (It's perfect the way it is.)

Heavy heaping of food and delicious. Recommend if you want more home cooked food. Better than chain restaurants.

Best breakfast in the Cedar Valley. I love the Hawaiian omelette and hash browns, and of course the GIANT pancakes.
