Went for breakfast, we go to breakfast a lot. Server- taller reddish hair -wish we got her name-was unbelievably not friendly, no one ever asked to fill coffee, we had to ask for coffee twice. She didn't deserve the tip we did leave which was adjusted. On to the food. Bacon was so hard it was hard to bite. Like a stick. Scrambled eggs cold. Hash brown had a lot of seasoning on them. Not just salt and pepper, spicy, garlic powder. Wash to spicy for breakfast. Omelet was ok, at least it was hot. Plus waiting 25 min when just a few others in there. Just really the worst service and food we have ever had. read more

Kitchen is VERY slow! We waited over 45 minutes for our food to arrive and the restaurant was less than half full. We asked the waitress if we could get chocolate milk with the kids meal. We WERE NOT told that it would cost an extra $1.99. (If we had known that we wouldn't have ordered it.) The Breakfast Sandwich was $12.99 and not worth it. This place is terribly slow and I'm thinking that it must be very difficult to make two eggs sunny side up and hashbrowns at a breakfast place. We were hoping to eat at Mongs but there was a line out the door. Yelp said this was open. It was cold inside due to air conditioner so I wore my jacket. Ordered pork tenderloin grilled and no bun. Also ordered sweet potato salad as side. The pictures are so deceiving from before, as the pork tenderloin is not that big. Mine was hard to cut and dry. So disappointing from yesterday where mine was really good at another restaurant. Told the waitress about it and she could have got the manager, but I'll just bring home for my dog. I came here for dinner while in town. There was one other table seated and then just me but I think this is more of a breakfast place. They had a great breakfast selection. I got a Reuban sandwich with garlic parmesan fries. They also had a beer special on the Sam Adam's oktoberfest. So of course I had that too. It has a diner feel to it. The food came out super fast and was great! It was a great atmosphere and would be fun for breakfast. They said they have amazing bloody Mary's that are like a meal in them self. read more

Disappointed. The wrap was $9.95 with no side and more wrap than filling. Very slim sprigs of lettuce and piece of onion. We also ordered a grilled cheese and add tomato...no tomato. Hands Den Best BLT Ever! Stopped in looking for a light meal and deciding on the BLT or the Adult Grilled Cheese. Recommend the BLT and it is by far the best I have had ever. The beacon was Christ and a thick cut which gave the sandwich great texture. The sauce -Oh My Goodness. On the sourdough bread was the star of the sandwich. Only complaint- I should have ordered two. I have been here many times and it's always a gamble whether my food will be good or bad. Today was very bad. Ordered chicken quesadilla as I've had many times. It's usually a safe bet. This time, there was hardly any chicken and the veggies were severely undercooked. The chipotle dip seemed watered down and lacking flavor. Ordered a side of fries and they came out cold. Got charged 99 cents for a dipping cup of ranch. Sign on the door said they are understaffed and that's fine. We were patient and the waitresses were nice. But at least serve the quality of product you brag about with your TripAdvisor rewards posted throughout the building. read more

Oh how I wish I could leave more stars! Today was my first experience at this incredible little cafe. From the moment we walked in the door, we were made to feel like family. Every server in the place was friendly and accommodating. Our server, Jodi, did a fantastic job with every aspect of our service. She even knew that making eye contact and directing most of her comments toward me, the female at the table, makes for a top-notch server! We also observed the other servers working, and we were overly impressed with how they handled themselves! My companion and I have spent many years in upper-level food service ourselves and would have been blessed to have each of the employees of this establishment on our payroll over the years!! The food was also something to write home about. At one point, a cook came out to help bus tables and we heard him say to the customers, "thank you and God bless you". How refreshing! So kudos to the Newton's Paradise Cafe for all-around fantastic food and service, unrivaled by any place I've ever been in my 45 years!! I'll drive the hour to be back, that's for sure!!! read more

I can't say enough good about this place! We went on the recommendation of a friend and it far surpassed what we'd been told. It's a small old-fashioned diner in an old jewelry store. It looks like a 50's diner,but fresh and clean. We split the tenderloin and I still only made it through about a third of the half. It's huge and tasty with meat about a half inch thick. The broccoli cheddarcsoul was the bomb! I checked out what others were eating and the breakfasts all looked wonderful. They have a breakfast pizza I'll definately be going back to try. The service was great. Even though I didn't feel like we'd waited a long time, the place was packed, the waitress stated how sorry She was we had a wait at all. The food is usually good, several good options. They have a patio which is nice for post COVID dining. However I am going with because it has gone down hill. When Newton's opened the place was always clean, extra flourish added to the food and the service was great. The last few years when we go the place always smells like they mopped the place with dirty water. The floor was kind of sticky throughout, and not just once but consistently. Last time we were there we ate on the patio early in the day and it clearly hadn't been cleaned up from the night before with food, straw wrappers, etc on the floor. Honestly I've reached the point I probably won't return as the cleanliness of the dining room gives me serious concern about the cleanliness of the kitchen. Except for that staples, the food has become run of the mill and nothing special. Staff was nice but certainly not skilled wait staff. read more

This restaurant isn't worth the price point and the food isn't that great. I got the pesto chicken wrap, which was very dry and very meh (their interpretation of pesto was chopped basil in mayo?). My two friends got the fried and grilled pork tenderloin, neither of which was very tender or tasted good - although the fried was better. The last of us got the pulled pork sandwich. I didn't try it, but she barely ate any of it, and when I asked she said she didn't like her meal either. Also, my "hot tea" was lukewarm. The only positive I can offer are that the fries were good, but for $15 a meal I expected a lot more. read more

We've had breakfast and lunch at Newton's dozens of times, but never again. The manager (owner?) was extremely rude. I've heard her trash talk other customers before while sitting at the counter, but today I got to experience her condescending stinginess firsthand. Toast was barely warm served with 1/2 tsp of jelly and hash browns ordered "extra crispy" were undercooked. Our server (who was great) said "her boss" wouldn't replace anything without an extra charge. When I talked to this "boss" her only concern was "Did you pay yet?" and told us "Ok, don't come back." She doesn't want my money, and won't get it again. Don't give her yours either. Hit up Cottonwood Canyon, Morg's, Perkins, Villiage Inn, or even Hy-Vee instead. Came here this AM for their bottomless bloody/mimosa special, before ordering I specifically asked if the drinks were interchangeable ( I always start with a bloody and switch to mimosas) and was told yes absolutely they were by a young man behind the bar. After my bloody I ordered a mimosa and was told that I would have to pay for another bottomless special, after informing the woman what I was told prior she stated that she "didn't care and that's not how this works" and "he doesn't know anything he was wrong" She refused to honor what her employee had told me, and proceeded to be unbelievably rude to myself and my table. Slamming plates on tables, ignoring drink refills etc. Food was decent, customer service was absolutely horrific. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

This used to be one of our favorite spots in the cedar valley. Sadly after more than one bad experience we just opt to go somewhere else. The food portions are huge for some dishes and tiny for others. Service is hit or miss, our last waitress acted like she couldn't be bothered with taking our order much less doing basic things like bringing ketchup for our fries or cream for the coffee. Also had the Rueben and cheese curds. Gotta admit, reuben needed sauerkraut and the cheese curds were overcooked causing half of them to be "empty" (cheese leaked out in fryer). Had a very nice lunch here, ended up trying the turkey wrap. I do not usually order wraps, but this one caught my eye because of the raspberry aioli! It was very good, tasted fresh and well put together and the sauce was really amazing. That was the best part for me, wish I could take a bottle home. Also had basil coleslaw which was an awesome change of pace from the regular coleslaw we get everywhere, real good stuff. Overall this was a nice lunch spot, will have to stop by again and try more of their menu. read more

Food was great but really poor service all around. The menu clearly states kids meals come with a kid's sized drink but we were charged for the drink. The server asked what sides we wanted with the meals only to charge us an additional amount for sides. Had we been told they would cost extra, it wouldn't have been an issue.
