We stayed two evenings in the teepee's. Upon our arrival we were greeted and given a short tour…read more The teepees were clean and decorated adorably. The bathtub was by far my favorite part! There were however several issues. The I phone chargers they provided did not work. This wouldn't have been an issue if there were places we could have plugged in the chargers we had brought. We couldn't because there was not a free electrical plug. The microwave wasn't even plugged in because there wasn't a place to plug it in. The AC wasn't adequate for the teepee ( didn't expect it would be it is a teepee!) however the fans provided did not work at all and there was not an outside sitting area that we could sit and enjoy the evenings, stars or an afternoon picnic to escape the heat. The bathroom was amazing however it is not air conditioned and does not even have a fan and got REALLY hot mid day. Do not expect to use a blow dryer or place a fan because there is not one electrical plug in there. There also wasn't a mirror! We were given two half rolls of toilet paper and had to go to dollar general to buy more. If you stay bring a trash bag. There is one very small waste container provided in the bathroom teepee and nothing else. Not even a dumpster near by to dispose of your trash. Honestly while we enjoyed our stay we would not return. We camp a lot and had more "glamping" abilities in a state park.

The 360 views of lake LBJ and the horseshoe Bay Area at large are unmatched. Bob and his team are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room was immaculate and impeccably well prepared upon my arrival. Very convenient and close to creature comforts as well as a feeling of calm and isolation. Multiple room styles to choose from, and all worth their weight in gold. Lovely even space with a well-thought-out and exquisitely exciting floor plan. Five-star location and service. Great place to stay!

Fantastic place! The place itself, if you were there alone, is even fun!! Whether you're new to the…read morearea or a long-time resident as familiar with Spicewood, and all it has to offer, as the river that created it, i assure you the new event venue appropriately named, 'That Joint in Spicewood' offers a unique and stimulating atmosphere to gather with friends. The venue, has nested itself in the heart of Spicewood just down from the Post Office and Krause Springs. I say "nested" because it feels as if they'd need decades create the cozy nostalgic sense you get even as it comes into view from turning the corner in your car ... and even more so once inside and processing the endless vintage/retro decorations that, i believe, make up the bones of this place. It's an atmosphere that, quite honestly, could be used for a movie set in the 1940's or 50's! Everywhere you look and sit. That Joint in Spicewood, as an event venue, is perfect for birthdays, anniversary parties, weddings and even bachelor / bachelorette parties. The night i went they offered a singer/songwriter experience welcome to all that may want to listen or even partake in the music making themselves. It took time to process who was family or patrons, like me... only to find out we were all mostly strangers and had just got along so well with the vibe they set that it all felt like somehow half should be family. A strange welcoming vibe I don't experience often. I like it. Fact is, That Joint... feels open and welcoming on any day, actually. I've passed by on my bike many times just to look at all the cool stuff and have even walked up and poked around out of curiosity only to be greeted by the owners. Great people and great venue for darts, shuffleboard or a step back to your childhood with all the things to look at. Give it a visit! Planned or unplanned. It's the most welcoming place I've been to since moving to Spicewood.
