The Creek Haus and all of the property is absolutely beautiful!!! If you are wanting a hill country event/wedding/family reunion this is the place to be. WOW! The wedding was beautiful, the coordinator was great, the DJ was on point and the bartenders were awesome. What else could you ask for??? If I was getting married again I would definitely has it in the running for the top 3 places...one of the other ones is Vista West West which is their sister property. I've been trying to find words on my anger, frustration and disappointment since our my call with Brittany a few weeks ago. To be lead on by the team at Creek Haus was the most disheartening experience to kick off what should be a joyous process of planning a wedding. I emailed Brittany inquiring about the Creek Haus on July 11th, we had a call on July 12th chatting about setting up a time for us to come visit. Since I live in NYC, we made plans to see the venue when I was in town on August 7th. My mom signed a contract to save our future wedding date, October 3rd, 2020. I have all of the documents with this contract and information. Fast forward to August 7th, we meet Brittany, see the venue, talk in full detail of how we want this venue and no where else because we know what we want. She even takes us to the brewery, promises all these wonderful things for our wedding, etc. Brittany says she will send over more info on hotels, catering and the contract either later that day or the following. My mom says she is happy to sign the contract RIGHT THEN AND THERE and put a deposit down. Brittany says she'll send it all over later. We trust her, obviously because why would we have no reason not to? Skip to a few days later, my mom saying she's called a few times, has texted Brittany and hadn't heard anything. We don't worry too much about it because we SIGNED A CONTRACT. Like any sensible person, we assume they're busy and don't want to be annoying. So we trust they signed contract and their word, knowing they were seeing our texts and emails. SO quick to respond to us a few days earlier, they must just be super busy. Two weeks go by. No word from anyone at Creek Haus, despite our constant calls, texts, emails (from various addresses) and we start to panic. A few more days go by and Brittany FINALLY answers my calls. We're then informed that our date has been given to some other couple due to "muted emails" ...???! Aka, the most ridiculous, unprofessional lie I've ever fking heard. Now, I'm a pretty chill person but I have never been so disgusted, frustrated and upset in my whole life. She waited weeks, and weeks and weeks to avoid telling us they gave the date to someone else, completely screwing us over. As most know, it's hard to find a venue you love and also a date especially since we have majority of our friends and fam coming from out of state. We then panicked, knowing most venues in the area/hotels in the area were full for October. On top of this, she tells my mom that she will contact the other bride to give us the date (because it is ours...duh hello contract once again) and Brittany ghosts us for a second time! We were still going to attempt to work with them despite this mishap and they ACT EVEN WORSE. I'm warning future brides to avoid working with a sneaky, fake, two faced company. Amidst the already stressful world of wedding planning, this added many tears, upset phone calls, etc attempting to find another date in October for us to get married. I'd read a few bad reviews on Creek Haus and ignored them thinking it couldn't be that bad but now it all makes sense. If they would have been upfront earlier, or said "hey we made a mistake and gave your date to someone else" instead of weeks and weeks of ignoring us, we could have found something else. There are plenty of gorgeous event barns in the area with wayyyyy better outdoor places to get married than on the slope of a hill with a pathetic excuse for a creek behind it. Honestly, I don't even know where to begin with my review because our wedding left us completely speechless. We had our wedding at The Creek Haus on June 4, 2016. Our wedding weekend was picture perfect; everything we dreamed about and more. Joe, Stacey and the whole team were fabulous to work with. Whenever we had questions, they were easily accessible and provided quick responses. They checked on us throughout the weekend and ensured everything was going smoothly. They provided above and beyond, more than excellent, customer service. They are flexible, eager to please, passionate, fun and caring people who truly want your big day to be as special as possible. There are no words that can perfectly describe them and express our appreciation for the amount of kindness and care they showed us. Additionally, what I think is so truly special about them, is how they made us feel. They made us feel like we were the only ones they were helping to plan a wedding despite them having two or three weddings each weekend! That is a rarity and truly reflects the kind of people they are and how passionate they are about the work they do. I also want to highlight the amazing work of Jaime Dydalewicz. She was our wedding coordinator and she did a phenomenal job of bringing everything together and keeping it all seamless. Outside of the amazing customer service, let me talk about the perfection that is The Creek Haus. Not only is it absolutely gorgeous, but it is extremely convenient. I've been in several weddings where the wedding parties are traveling from place to place to get ready for the ceremony and reception. Here, at The Creek Haus, there is no travel; all the vendors come to you. I cannot emphasize how easy and smooth the day of the wedding was. I felt relaxed and stress-free the entire day! Also, something that is wonderfully unique about The Creek Haus is the amount of contingency plans for bad weather. Texas is known for being extremely unpredictable when it comes to weather. Sure enough, it upheld its reputation and provided us with a brief downpour two hours before our ceremony. However, I was not concerned at all because we had a plan A, B and C! When planning a Texas wedding, the biggest piece of advise I received was that I needed to love the venue's contingency plans. The Creek Haus has great backup plans. There really is not a bad view on site - even if you were to end up inside. I truly want to thank The Creek Haus team for making our wedding perfect and unforgettable. It's taken me some time to write this review and find the right words to paint the perfect picture. But what's best about writing this review later is that I can honestly share that our friends and family are still raving about our wedding. They continue to tell us that our wedding was the absolute best wedding they have ever attended and the location was out of this world beautiful. It's obvious that my husband and I will never forget this weekend and it makes things that much sweeter when our friends and family tell us that they too will never forget our magical wedding weekend at The Creek Haus. read more

Disheartening I would CAUTION any bride/groom or organizer who is considering having an event at either the Creek Haus or Vista West Ranch, both of which are owned by Stacey and Joe. My fiancé and I enjoyed working with them in the beginning - they were friendly, helpful and responsive. But when the pandemic hit, that changed. We understood that the world was in a peculiar place when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and companies were struggling, but at the end of the day you hope people will do the right thing, SADLY the Creek Haus and Vista West Ranch did NOT! Our destination wedding was to be in November 2020 in Dripping Springs, Texas (we live in Northern California). As nurses working on the frontlines of the pandemic, we had the foresight to reach out to our venue in May 2020 to postpone our wedding to 2021. If you look at the timeline May 8th 2020 - Texas surpassed 1,000 COVID-19 deaths. On June 3rd, Phase 3 of reopening began, however, on June 19th Texas surpassed 100,000 COVID 19 cases. Stacey and Joe were not understanding or sympathetic to our concerns. They were unwilling to postpone our wedding to 2021 without an additional 50% of our original venue cost ($26,000), totaling an additional $13,000. We tried to make appeals to their sense of human decency and compassion but the Southern Hospitality they tout all melted away. It became all about business and money. We were asked to continue paying the remaining $13,000 balance due for our wedding in November 2020. All of our guests were traveling from out of state to Texas for our wedding - from New York, Georgia, Montana and California.  There were too many uncertainties in this situation, we were ultimately forced to cancel our wedding at both venues, and we lost our deposit of $13,000. A few months after terminating our contract, I attempted contact with the venue because I saw they actually booked a wedding on the Friday we would have been on their property for our wedding weekend. I asked them to reconsider giving us some of the $13,000 back as they were able to recuperate some of the money, but they never even responded. At the end of the day this family (and their multiple companies and business ventures) is looking out for only them and not their client, so BE WARY! We hope no couple has had to/ or will ever have to go through this devastation of having your wedding derailed by whatever is going on in the world and then being out over $13,000 for what was supposed to be your special day and now leaves you with a bitter taste in your mouth. read more

I can KNOT believe I haven't wrote a review for The Creek Haus yet! We were torn between heading to Costa Rica or keeping it in the states. When we realized family wouldn't travel to Costa Rica we knew we had to find somewhere we can turn our wedding day into a destination wedding experience but in the states. This is when my google search brought me to The Creek Haus a venue you get from Thursday to Sunday with 70+ of your closest friends/family staying on the property with you! It was the perfect venue for our guest traveling in from California and Illinois. With the property having no cell service/wifi it was great to have our friends and family be in the moment with us and not on their cell phone. We saw phenomenal dance moves come out from people we didn't expect too. Joe, Stacey and Jordan were easily accessible to answer all my questions and if we had our parents in town they would allow us to drop by and show the venue off to them. Jordan was our day of wedding coordinator and she made sure everything went according to plan. If we had any problems I had no idea and still don't to this day. Between having Bar Butlers and the DJ who are included they made sure to have everything go smoothly - They know the venue well! I'm already thinking about booking it to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary there...Luckily I have plenty of time to plan for that :) read more

We had our wedding retreat at The Creek Haus over Memorial weekend and absolutely loved everything about this venue! Not only are the grounds and accommodation simply stunning but Stacey, Joe and the rest of the Creek Haus team are a pleasure to work with and very quick at answering any pre-wedding questions. From the moment we visited we knew this was the spot for us! We had lots of guests travelling from Australia and down from Kansas, so having the on-site lodging for three nights was a great way for our family and friends to meet and interact beyond just the wedding day. Being on-site also reduced wedding day stress for us as we weren't frantically trying to get from place to place. We highly recommend this beautiful venue for your special day. Recently had our wedding here at The Creek Haus in October. To say I am completely UNIMPRESSED would be an understatement. Sure, the tours and staff are incredibly helpful....until you have a negative opinion or need something during their "busy season." The owners spoke to us as though we were inept teenagers and tried to threaten us the morning after our wedding stating we were no longer going get receive our deposit. We used biodegradable confetti, and they stated it would not be gone in time for the next wedding. I asked our 'day-of wedding coordinator' before the wedding if we could use the confetti and she said 'yes.' So, we had prior approval, did not break or damage any part of the property, and were completely within our contractual agreement - and still- the owner decided it was a good idea to come scold us in the early hours of the morning. It took some arguing and explaining to them the difference between 'biodegradable' vs 'water soluble' but we did in fact get our deposit back. The owner was also very upset that my brother had parked his car 'too close' to the septic something or another. However, there were no signs, no one told us we could not park in certain locations, and he even admitted that there WAS a large rock there and a worker had removed it the day or so before. It is not worth the stress or completely unorganized and vapid staff who has the audacity to bully you less than 12 hours after your wedding has been completed. We were not impressed, and definitely did not appreciate the way we were treated. Oh, and a few sidenotes- the bridal suite absolutely REEKED of bodily waste since it is directly next to the septic tank (right by the service hatches). That did not make getting ready a positive experience. And the 'honeymoon suite' is the brightest room available. We literally had to go buy foil and find a tall ladder so that we could make the room darker and get some rest. You can try to call about these issues when they're happening but there is NO cell service. I definitely do not recommend this venue. Had it not been for the way the owner treated us, we could have brushed everything else off. However, I definitely do not respect any venue that can take your money and then treat you with such incredible disregard the very next day. My entire family was completely disgusted by him, and so were we. read more
