Definetely a 5 star place. Very nice large private rooms and pretty quiet too. Nice private bath and Shower worked great. Clean and nice decor in all the public spaces. Rosebud, Owner and family are great hosts. Breakfast was wonderful! Great front porch area, and its short drive to Snowshoe and Cass. My one and only complaint for the MC group....its a pretty short driveway but gravel uphill with some sharp turns and a crappy wooden bridge. Regardless we hope to visit again because otherwise its a great place. read more

The new young couple who have bought this adorable bed and breakfast are wonderful and SO accommodating. They are updating it slowly but surely. The rooms and beds are comfy and each had a coffee pot. The living room had an inviting fireplace and we took the time to even sit on and enjoy the large spacious front porch, even in the cold fall weather. The owner was playing piano when we arrived. Because of covid, there was no breakfast, but we received free breakfast vouchers to Route 66 which is a local restaurant nearby. It is not that far to snowshoe for skiing. It's near cass scenic railroad! We would most definitely stay there again! Highly recommend! Great place and great owners! read more

Having stayed at numerous B&B's throughout the New England and Chesapeake areas, this was our first experience at a B&B in the West Virginia. The inn itself is absolutely charming and we cannot say enough about the owners, Staci and Nathan. My wife and I were celebrating our 38 year anniversary and I contacted the inn in order to get a dozen roses placed in the room for our arrival. Apparently roses are hard to come by at this time of year in West Virginia but they managed to do just that by sending their innkeeper on an errand. When they arrived Staci arranged the roses in a vase and placed in our room. Thank you Staci and Nathan!!!!! Breakfast was served each morning in the charming dining area and was fantastic! Being baseball fanatics we had asked which establishments in the area might have the World Series on. They recommended a few places but said that if we wanted to come back to the inn they would put the game on for us which is what they did as the restaurant was closing and the game was going into extra innings. A truly wonderful inn with fantastic hosts in a beautiful area of West Virginia!!! Highly recommend!!! Mark & Kim read more

Great stay and great host. Everybody was so friendly. They even let me charge my car with no problems. Located not too far from Cass RR and Snowshoe ski resort. Breakfast wasn't included but they were nice enough to give us $10 each gift cards to the nearest restaurant. Room was extremely clean and up to my expectations. Definitely recommend. read more

Welcome to the new owners of the Morning Glory Inn! Staci and Nathan made us feel very welcome and we with our dachshund enjoyed our stay. Our booked room had to have repairs so they upgraded our room with no problem. The Inn has easy access to Shoeshoe Ski Resort, Cass Scenic Railroad, and Greenbank Observatory. Just a short distance to Marlinton, Elkins, Spruce Knob, and the Pearl Buck Homeplace. Some parts of the Inn are currently restricted due to Covid but in God's Country, we had plenty of space to roam. Mike and Karen Wilmoth read more

We so enjoyed our one night at the Morning Glory Inn. We went to the Cass Scenic Railroad and this was very close by. Our room had two beds and was very spacious yet cozy. Good sized bathroom with a pedestal sink. Vaulted ceilings and a skylight in the room with battery powered candles for even more ambiance. Breakfast was great with Karin's home made granola and two types of fruit bread and more. Rod was the breakfast chef and whipped up scrambled eggs. Cute common area with comfy living room and a big front porch for watching the trees and mountains and stream. Very quiet and comfortable. read more

Great hub for summer fun We've been regulars at the Morning Glory Inn since 2010 and we love it here. While we normally come for skiing during the winter, we've stayed here for fall colors weekends and it's also convenient to the Cass Railway and the Greenbrier River Trail as well as Snowshoe. Rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. Hot breakfast includes gourmet scrambled eggs or pancakes, depending on the day. There's also homemade granola, homemade jam, fruit, fresh bread, etc. There is a large front deck which faces a large creek - lovely to sit and listen to after a day out and about. The owners, Rod and Karen, are great and have run much larger operations, so the MGI is a bit more polished than other B&Bs in the area. They do tend to stay busy, so booking ahead is a good idea. read more

I took the kids to Snowshoe Ski Resort for snowboarding this past weekend, and stayed at the Morning Glory Inn. I've got no complaints. In fact, I have to say this was one of the best lodging experiences I've had. They do all the little things right. The rooms were large, yet cozy, and well-cared for, and Rod and Karin are up in the morning, cooking breakfast, and chatting up their visitors. Morning Glory has easy access to Snowshoe (about a 10-15 minute drive). We didn't travel with our pet, but I understand they have pet-friendly rooms. Whether you're coming to ski, or if you're in need of a rustic getaway, this is the place - well done, Rod and Karin! read more

My wife (then fiance) and I discovered this place last ski season when were looking for an affordable option besides the Snowshoe lodging we were familiar with. Wow did we find a gem! The owners were extremely welcoming and warm - yes to even those of us who arrived at almost 11 pm on a long 5 hour drive from the DC area. We were quite surprised by the size and quality of the room. The pictures listed on the website really don't do it any justice. The room consisted of a massive space - probably 20 by 25 ft with a nice comfortable king size bed, nicely equipped bathroom, desk and sofa for lounging. The rooms themselves had the ability to be locked with a key, so we never felt uneasy leaving valuables in the room. What really surprised us was the wonderful breakfast you recieve from the owners.... I'm used to some toast, eggs, and O.J. The Morning Glory Inn goes knotch up and serves things like stuffed french toast, omlettes, and pancakes with fresh fruit. Every morning i was so excited to go down for breakfast to see what was going to be cooked up. Better yet its cooked to order! No little banquet table thats been picked over by your fellow inn-mates. Best of all the price can't be beat.... It was well worth the $$ we paid to be beyond the craziness of the Inn at Snowshoe and sooo much cheaper than the prices on top of the mountain. You are maybe a 7 min drive from the parking lot on top of the mountain - it really can't be beat. I have recommended this place to friends and family, so please take advantage of this mountainside gem! read more

We were on our honeymoon, but not expecting to stay here. We had a terrible experience at a previous bed and breakfast, and desperately wanted something clean, affordable, and with fantastic innkeepers. We found just that! Gorgeous setting, perfect room, and so lucky that they were willing to accommodate us last minute for a night in August. We look forward to going back, and welcome all opportunities to recommend this inn. read more

We had a group of 5 couples taking a motorcycle trip in the area and were looking for a unique place to stay where our bikes would be safe. We found it here! Rod and Karin are great; making you feel right at home. Karin makes the breads and granola from scratch, so delicious!!! Rod cooks up fresh from the farm scrambled eggs or pancakes.Plenty of fresh fruit and juice and coffee or tea. Breakfast was always a treat. Rooms were very spacious and everything you would need to make your stay comfortable. There's an inviting front porch with plenty of seating where you can watch all the hummingbirds or just sit and relax. There's also a back deck to enjoy. I would highly recommend Morning Glory Inn and hope to stay here again! read more

There aren't a whole lot of options around Snowshoe Mountain that are pet friendly so my husband and I were really happy when we found out about Morning Glory Inn online. Morning Glory Inn has one room slightly separated from the rest of their rooms where they allow pets to stay. We couldn't have found a better place! The room was clean, large, comfortable, and very well kept. Rod and Karin couldn't have been more accommodating hosts - always coming by asking if we needed anything and breakfast was absolutely delicious every morning. Highly recommended! read more

Rod and Karen are the most gracious hosts and our room was fabulous. We stayed in room 201 and it was huge and very clean and well appointed. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here to anyone. The breakfast was great and the blueberry pancakes were some of the best I've had in a very long time. The icing on the top was when I go home I realized I left my phone charger in the room I just figured well I lost another one but three days later a package showed up at my door with my charger in it. I didn't not call them or anything I just figured it was another lost charger one of at least ten a year I leave in a hotel. Simply amazing people and a great place, I just can't say enough good things about the owners and their facility! read more

The tireless, big-hearted owners make the Morning Glory Inn feel like a home away from home. The Inn is set in a beautiful location in a little wooded area with a creek running through it, but close enough to the road to make it convenient even in the middle of winter. The Inn has pet-friendly rooms and our dog loved having lots of room to play in the snow. The Inn is just a short drive (~20 minutes) from the top of Snowshoe mountain, so we found it to be a nice alternative to staying on the top of the mountain with the crowds. The Fiddlehead restaurant (just down the road) plays live music on weekends - a little bit of WV that you might not experience if you stay in the resort. And, the Morning Glory breakfasts always filled us up before a big day of skiing and snowboarding. But, what makes Morning Glory Inn really special are the people. We lost our car keys on the ski slopes in the middle of our trip and found ourselves in a very tough position. The owners were incredibly kind - picking us up when we were stranded on top of the mountain and finding a way to extend our stay despite being fully booked. read more

We loved our stay at the Morning Glory Inn. It is located in one of the most beautiful places that we have seen in the United States. The Inn is so pretty with all the plants, trees, flowers, hummingbirds, and the few deer here and there. The room was amazing with a big tub and lots of space. It was relaxing sitting on the porch watching the sun rise and set. The owners Karin and Rod were very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast was healthy and there was lots of it! I suggest ordering the scrambled eggs, and don't forget to try the homemade granola :) Everything was more than wonderful, we will be going back in the future. read more
