It's a small florist shop with friendly staff who greeted us and offered assistance with pre-made floral items in a small cooler to the right of the shop and a ton of gifts and knick-knacks inside. It has much more in the way of gift items than expected and a very large selection of skincare items from local Virginia Aromatics which are made in Orange. There was bug spray, lotion, soap, scrub, bath salts, chapstick, etc. All smelled wonderful. A cute shop with some nice items and the soaps are soft and luxurious.

My favorite part about the experience, though, had to be the Polish pottery displayed all about the room. The owner shared the fascinating history about how these beautiful pieces are made. I won't tell you myself, but I highly recommend you ask next time you stop in. I mentioned that it was my birthday while I was buying one of the mugs (pictured below), and the owner quickly began picking out complimentary flowers for me and my grandmother! We had purchased river rock in the past and try to stay as local as possible to our house for these things. The four yards of topsoil arrive and seem ok although I mention it seems like it's more clay than topsoil. It was workable and going into a culvert so it wasn't the end of the world. I ordered 12 more yards to be delivered and I wasn't there for the 2nd delivery, but was there for the 3rd and finally stopped the rest of the order. The loads were so compacted at this point I couldn't work the "topsoil" with a shovel. The clumping and color got redder and it was apparent I'm either getting fill dirt, even the driver referenced "that's what we got" and was clearly not trying to defend this was a quality product. When I called the nice lady at the desk she said that people come from all over for their topsoil and she was sorry and would let the owner know. Told her to cancel the last 4 yards and they said they would give me a store credit. I didn't want a store credit but more importantly, what are you going to do about basically delivering fill dirt? A couple of days go by and now Victoria the account is engaged and she apologizes and says the owners have contacted the supplier and chew them out. Super, what are you doing for me? They did issue a refund for the last four yards AND deducted a 3% fee (I assume the fee credit cards charge them). BTW, no one has come out or asked for pictures until I mention again there's a bigger issue, what are you doing about the product you delivered. The response was all sales are final. Wow, no adjustment on the costs between topsoil and clay or fill? Seems like a perfect business model to never take ownership of your mistakes. I get it, someone provided you an inferior product. So go after them. So I fully expect the owner to come in with a response that somehow covers them (see other reviews on Google), but I'll let you judge with the pictures that I will post. I went and got topsoil from another supplier and it is night and day difference in quality, texture, etc. Literally, you'll see a photo of red clay dirt (theirs) being cover by black topsoil as I would have expected from them. The last picture is just one of three buckets (tractor that is) full of clumps so big of clay you would have to cut or break them up somehow. The right answer is to come to inspect the situation, realize the mistake, adjust the bill to fill dirt pricing, and apologize. Mistakes happen, but you either take ownership or you compound them.

That right there is a reflection of the management that does not exist for what is supposed to be a Christian establishment. The store is good for getting essentials that you can find yourself. However, good luck finding an associate that can be useful and knowledgeable. I will not review the associates as it is not their fault. It is no one else's fault but the invisible managers here who should be disgusted with themselves for setting the associates up for failure and placing them in hazardous situations that can kill these young kids trying to be responsible and actually maintain a job in today's fallen world. No one picks up the phone. Associates do not help you on the floor. Employees are not knowledgeable of any merchandise of all categories. When we thought Lowe's in the bad parts of the state was the worst. Terrible that Rural King in the Front Royal area is beyond a disappointment.

After picking up a bag of the complimentary fresh popcorn, we grabbed 10 bags of feed and some spray for the fruit trees. Then, I got the wild idea to make some pickles because I saw the huge display of canning supplies and we have cucumbers in the garden. I picked up the canning supplies I needed for the pickles. Check out is quick, easy and friendly. Prices are reasonable. My brother had to return a fitting that was the wrong size and they cheerfully refunded his money. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall lot. I'm sure we'll be back when the chickens need more food.
