The atmosphere and decor was amazing. It was so cute!Luis the head painter and our host was incredible. I thought we were going to maybe be tracing the image onto the canvas (as I have done that in previous paint studios) and we did not. We did everything free hand and he was an excellent teacher and was very helpful. There were several times where I thought I had ruined my painting and he helped me fix little mistakes which just added character and made it unique. There was an awesome playlist going the whole time that kept us excited and signing along (I wish I had a copy of it). I encourage everyone to try this place out and support this new business! There were 6 of us and two instructors, so we got to watch two people at a time making their creations. Most people made a bud vase, but two made flowers, and I made a bowl. A great time was had by all! I'll definitely come back again - perhaps on my own - to make a flower.

In addition to having the ability to walk across a gorgeous campus, there is access to a local rail-trail. The professors, both tenured and adjuncts, at the university care about sharing their knowledge with students while encouraging class discussions. If a student needs extra help, professors go out of their way to be helpful and the tutoring center is a great resource. I found the student body to be welcoming, friendly, and passionate about learning. There are a number of student organizations on campus and activities to participate in. For example, I co-hosted a radio program on campus. There are also interesting lectures that take place on campus. I highly recommend enrolling at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
