What makes the difference is the efficiency, integrity, quality and care put into the work. I made my original move with a big Van Line company. Things took much longer than expected and the storage area was poorly packed wasting a lot of space. In the end they had run out of boxes and packing material leaving me to come up with my own boxes. There were a selection of open boxes and even a shopping bag of items that were not packed or wrapped at all left in the storage area! I could not believe how quickly and efficiently John, Donny and Dave worked. They secured and moved my belongings. They patiently rearranged everything in storage, repacked some items and managed to get everything new packed in as well. They did a terrific job. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others!

When asked literally, more than 10 times, I still kept getting the same answer that there's no action needI ed from my side to complete cross border transport and that U-pack would take care of it. This was not true and had to jump through a lot of hoops to clear my documentation and goods. I have about a dozen emails assuring me that my claim would be settled promptly, then there was a family crisis for the claims manager, then the company fired the claims manager and accused them of absconding with my claims proceeds, and now, the new claims manager is off on a family matter. So over a year and counting... looks like court action may be the only way to get these guys to honour their damages policy.

The packing team demonstrated a lack of care with our belongings and did not adhere to the detailed instructions provided. Their attitude suggested a reluctance to perform the job as required. Additionally, Emil was present during the move-out; however, he was unable to be of assistance due to being under the influence. Subsequently, we employed a different moving company for our next move, and the level of service and attention to detail was significantly superior in comparison to Burloak Movers.

My experience sod not start out well, but ended well…read more I'd called the location the week before and spoke to the manager. Told him I would be arriving in a week (gave him the specific date) with movers paid by the hour and needed his advice from looking at the contents of the moving truck to determine what size of locker would be required. Did not want to over pay for a locker or worse, find out after that it would not fit and then have to continue to pay movers to move to another unit. I spoke to the same manager the day before and confirmed the time I'd be arriving along with that he'd be there to assess and advise which he stated we'd see each other then. I arrived the next day in the time window agreed, went into the office and was advised, "today and tomorrow are is regular days off"! I really thought the staff were joking, however they were not. What's the point of agreeing on an appointment with someone if it's your regular day off???? And especially since he had also left no messages for the staff on site??? And with all due respect to the staff who we're on site, they were not able to make this assessment. Come to the rescue Angela & Nicole. While they patiently listened to my frustration and concerns, they remained calm and professional. I'd indicated I was going to be a calling the corporate offices for Public Storage Canada, which i did, and obtained the name of the district manager. They checked with their supervisor off-site and confirmed they could release the DM's contact information. The DM called the location after I had left her a VM and they had emailed her as a head's up and I spoke to the district manager directly. Explained my frustration and the details of the situation. The DM (Susan) authorized a solution that was agreeable and the visit ended. Hats off to Angela, Nicole and Susan. Thank you. Allan
