Reached out for a quote to extend our existing driveway, filling in a curved portion. Total space is 80 square feet, 1 cubic yard of concrete needed. Took them a week to respond saying they would be at our residence in 4 days as they were working on another home in the neighborhood. They never showed. Followed up by sending them another text and were assured they would be by the next week after the rainy weather cleared up. They never showed. Sent them another text with more details on the job I wanted from them and asked when they could quote the job. Finally someone 'just showed up' at our home and looked at the space and said it would be no problem and could complete the work within 4 days. Did not quote a price but assured me he would text it to me within 24 hrs. Four days later and still no quote or addition communication. I verified they had not yet been to the home in our neighborhood either. Sent them another text pleading for a quote. Three days later the same person stopped by, since I was outside working in the yard, and asked if I had any other questions. I replied "what will it cost and when are you going to get it done". He started with a low quote and that quote changed every 15 seconds as he was talking. Started at half a day work for 2 people and ended up a fulls day work for 4 people. Changed from $300 + labor to over $1300 dollars. Then he said they had already completed the work in the neighborhood so I would get no discount and have to pay for a short-load cement delivery. The whole point in dealing with them was to have them do the work at the same time since they were already in the area.
