They are still open. They have been around since 1911. When you look up the word dive bar in the dictionary a picture of Morsberger's should be in there. Small narrow and cramped with over a hundred years of memorabilia hanging on the walls. If you are looking for a fancy place to get a complicated drink this is not the place for you. However if you want a cheap drink and interesting sites you are in luck. There really in no sign visible if you are driving. I happed to be on a stroll and heard music coming from it so decided to check it out. The decor is eclectic with vintage album covers lining the ceiling, local sports memorabilia on the walls, and animal heads mounted throughput the place. The bar tender/owner this evening was a guy named Donnie. A friendly old guy more than happy to discuss the history of this family owned bar. I listening to him for a min while I drank two Miller lites. Very interesting. The chairs are worn the bar was as well. There is probably dust in here older than me lol. You can feel the history. Surprisingly they have a digital jukebox on the wall. If you need a late night liquor store run they can supply you with packaged goods here. They also have karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights. Very interesting place.

5/20/2021 - This Bar is DEF. OPEN! Walking by with a past and heard SugarHill Gang playing so we decided to come in. One side of the bar is pool tables and some games , large open space. The other side is the dive bar. Sort of tight, but lined up with refrigerated beer, old vinyl, trinkets and a lot of vintage items! The bartendar was super nice and chill. Seems like a dive bar for local, nice mixed crowd. So glad we stumbled upon this place, I will be back! Bartendar said karaoke should return on Fri and Sat. starting at 9PM. Happy hour on beer only from 3-6

I'm down in Cantonsville visiting friends and it was time for day drinking. This dive is definitely the place to be! The day regulars are chummy and super friendly. The entry is a narrow driveway from the street and has private lot in the back so no need to pay for metered street parking. The bar is two large long rooms. One with the bar and the other is a pool room, karaoke bar, dance floor and DJ booth. A large outdoor patio with benches along the edge is out back for smokers if all types. From what they say, this place is absolutely packed on weekend nights and I can see why. amazing peeps and chill cool vibes. Wallflower? No problem feeling awkward, just take a self tour of the amazing memorabilia that covers walls from floor to ceiling. Amazing!! It's a dive so don't expect a bottle of Dom. But very refreshing to finish 3 beers for $20. As an added bonus I met the amazing David, chef at Cantonsville Gourmet and his partner Jessica. So passionate about food and cooking, not just about a business (which follows if you are passionate, and talented, and driven, and lucky, and ...) THIS SPOT IS WHERE THE LOCALS HANG. JOIN IN!!

One of the places I don't miss when I visit Baltimore. Bobby is an awesome guy and the place has been there longer than all of us.

We asked the waitress which soup she would recommend and she said the French Onion Soup. It was delicious. The cheese was well done and stretchy! We shared the Smith Island Cake for dessert and the frosting was very fudgy!! Would definitely come back!

The inside is a little cramped, and may be overstimulating for some with the TVs and lots of staff and customers (it's a slightly divey sports bar, what do you expect?). We ate outside, which despite the cool wind the night we were there, was much more pleasant. Our waitress was friendly and happy answered out questions about the menu. My kiddos got some items from the children's menu - sliders and tenders - and seemed to enjoy them. The whole family split some fried pickle appetizers. They were a little thick, but not too thick, and nicely fried with a tasty dipping sauce; I'd get this again. I got the Maryland crab soup. It was pretty standard; I've had better and I've had worse - nothing to write home about. My wife got the hot turkey sandwich, which was smothered in gravy. On a cool night, it was just what she wanted. There are some pretty standard cocktails as well as about a dozen beers on tap that included some local and some domestic brews. My waitress graciously let me see the whole list and snap a picture since I was being a bit indecisive at first. Overall, it didn't blow my socks off but nothing was bad either. The prices were fair and the service friendly.

The beef was incredibly tender, juicy, and far surpassed what I've had at Canopy Pit Beef in Ellicott City. It's a no-frills setup: cash only, picnic tables only, and no indoor seating, but the quick, friendly service more than makes up for it. I just wish they were closer... though maybe it's better that they're not. Highly recommend.

We arrived shortly before closing. Upon entering, the place is really small and the ambiance was filled with a smokey scent and can be a bit claustrophobic when filled to capacity. There is off street parking available on the lot behind the store. There were tables and benches in front of the store to sit and eat your food. NOTE: THIS IS A CASH ONLY BUSINESS. We were greeted by a pleasant man and placed our order behind clear plexiglass: a "super" (extra meat) pit beef, a pit turkey, and an order of fries. They also had pit ham, gravy and you could get the sandwich as a sub. We watched as they prepared the order through the plexiglass, cutting the meat on deli cutting machines and weighing each meat order. We asked if the fries were hot and were told they were "always" hot as we watched them take fries they were previously fried and "double fry" them for crispiness. They had a list of sauces available to add on the sandwich or on the side. We got the "tiger" sauce (horseradish and mayo) and bbq sauces on the side. Our order was ready in no time and the sandwiches: the pit beef sandwich was piled high with thin slices of well cooked although a bit dry (don't know if it was because it was the end of the day and we arrived close to closing), pit beef with a great smokey flavor. I added the bbq sauce (which was sweet and a bit vinegary, which I liked) on the meat and it added the perfect sweet balance to the savory smokiness of the meat. We wanted to try the tiger sauce (combo of mayo and horseradish) but were afraid as it seemed like this sauce was sitting out on the counter and with the mayo, we didn't want an upset stomach. The bun was fresh and I really enjoyed this sandwich. The pit turkey had thin slices (this meat seemed to be similar to the turkey you can get from the deli) on a fresh roll. The meat was not dry and this sandwich was good as well. The fries were best eaten as soon as we got them and they were hot, crispy, and fresh. All in all, we enjoyed our food and would come back again to grab a couple of sandwiches and try the gravy option.
