What a cute local hang out spot. My friend and I were looking for hookah. We drove from Baltimore. We wish we would have known it was a BYOB place. We love that. The service was a bit relaxed. We walked in and were not greeted. We headed toward the back and were told to sit wherever. A server came to take our beverage order and hookah order. They had a very large hookah selection. Came here for the first time, while waiting for doors to open for a concert. Place is right behind the Pizza Hut shopping center, with plenty of parking. When you walk in, you can seat yourself. It was a Sunday so all of the TV's were placed on an NFL game. Each hookah is for 2 people ($30+), so any extra people is $10 per person. Water bottle is for $1 This place is a BYOB/ BYOF. Okay... i used to be a legit hookah smoker lol i even have my own collection. But, I haven't been to any in the area since I moved here. Also, stopped smoking hookah. I'm here to tell you that this place is legit. Customer was great. I just wish they changed my coal more often. I was myself and I chose to sit in the most secluded area (all the way in back). So, im not really faulting them for that. My hookah came up to around $35. Customer service was great. Music was bumpin'! and they also have feminine products in the restrooms. I found that so thoughtful. I came on a Friday and it was chill. It' BYOB as well. No cover fee or fee for bringing your own liquor. It's liquor store right across the street. Very nice please! Super clean and great atmosphere. Staff are friendly for the most part. I also love that they let you choose where you sit, that doesn't happen often with these places. There are tables that are good height to use a laptop and outlets every where. Only reason I can't give 5 stars is because the hookahs are a hit and miss and they don't provide new coals that often. I think they need better lotus heads for hookahs and that would fix a lot. read more

As a NY native, I expected more ambience but NYC vibe does set a high bar. The place was a bit too brightly lit at 9pm (and remained so until closing) for my taste in lounges but overall the place had a cool, chill, laid back vibe (think game night with friends, not sexy date night). Be advised there's a "lounge fee" almost equivalent to the price of the hookah and patrons are not allowed to share hookah (Covid restriction). The place is BYOB, but they provided us with plastic cups and a wine opener. I'd return during the day maybe post-brunch. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I have never been so disrespected in an establishment in my entire life. I had not gone to Aagh since pre-covid (for obvious reasons). I was a very avid customer - ever since their initial opening before & after it burned down. I walked in with my friend & both the manager & another employee were seated & both did not even greet us. I saw a sign at the front & a QR code & was a little confused. It took the manager a while to realize a little help/instruction would be appreciated. He finally got up & told us that we had to scan the QR code to fill out a form regarding covid. This is the FIRST time I had ever done this at any establishment, as I frequent MANY hookah lounges in the DMV area. I have had my temperature checked, & been asked questions about covid, but that's it. So establishments shouldn't assume everyone walking in will understand & know their procedures. We walked in & I was surprised to find the back room with the swings closed - I asked the other employee why it was closed & he scornfully said "we're cleaning it". I was taken aback by his tone that I was like "woah, sorry - I was just asking". I went to use the bathroom, only to find feces in the toilet. Didn't you say you were CLEANING? We ordered, smoked & got up to leave. Shocked to find the total for one hookah came out to $40! Apparently, they charged an extra person's fee of $20 because my friend & I shared a hookah. I asked the employee about the fee & why nobody informed us & he started lecturing me on the waiver we signed at the entrance, saying we would be paying this amount for the hookah. He continued, in the most demeaning tone, that I didn't read the form & I should know better about reading things before signing them. He then started comparing this situation to a stop sign saying "you know how a stop sign works right"? He absolutely belittled me & I am not one to tell people my profession, however I am a PhD student, a professor & a Fed. To be belittled by a man on probation working at a hookah lounge that doesn't hold their employees accountable for any of their actions was absolutely foul. I proceeded to tell him that the waiver said absolutely NOTHING about paying $40 for a shared hookah. I would have walked right out if that was the case - so I asked him to show it to me. He goes back & scans the waiver & begins looking, lo & BEHOLD - it's not anywhere on the waiver. He goes on to tell me "well it's written on the menu". Excuse me? Who reads the menu at the hookah bar, especially when they all serve the same flavors? They don't offer food, so there was no reason for me to look at the menu. He proceeds to scold me by saying I should have read the menu. Seriously? He tried to then tell me how this was a covid practice & that I don't keep up with the laws & regulations. Funny because my field is in public health & I have been studying public health since 2010- don't teach me about public health regulations especially when he wasn't even wearing a mask. I told him you're not wearing a mask & he said "I'm standing six feet away". I asked what his problem was with us the second we walked in here. He just walked away. oh, HE SAID HE WAS THE BOSS! I found out later was a flat-out lie. I left the hookah bar & got in contact with the manager. He informed me that this wasn't the first time this employee has gotten complaints. If you have gotten this many complaints - so why is he still there? At first, I really thought the manager was on our side & he insisted on inviting & arranging for us to come back in to speak to the owners with him - that is who we wanted to speak with originally so we agreed. I went & picked up my friend from DC. She came & slept over & we got ready to head over. I texted Tay the manager to make sure everything was in order - come to find out the employee was there & the owners weren't!! Are you kidding me? How on earth did he think it would be appropriate for us to go in & have this conversation about the problematic employee while he was there. I told him that we changed our entire plans to come in & have this discussion & be heard. He apologized & promised that the owner would contact us that night- nothing. I got a call from the owners very late in the evening the following day. At that point I was done - I am no longer going to chase after management/owners to express my concerns & ensure that this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Desperate lounge with aggressive servers and outdated "policies" aka extra/hidden surcharges trying to stay afloat. The fee is for a single extra guest that we were never informed about. -- even had no problem paying this fee until the server began to harass us. Save your time and go to a better hookah bar with better hookah. 100% do not recommend! EDIT: Nice cover up attempt by the business owner below lol. His attitude explains why servers feel ok to disrespect the customers. The business owner failed to review the "video evidence" where his employee cornered us and began to harass us while seated despite having paid the full bill. I have never felt more uncomfortable at a lounge. Weird environment with some serious integrity issues from the management down make it clear why this lounge was empty. I usually don't write reviews , but too be honest i had too , so I'm going to give you the good & bad .. let's start off with the bad. Bad .... So i wouldn't technically say bad , but for the "yelpers" that look to A review to make a break .. i could say as far as the walking in the builder , i personally feel like the security should check you and have the QR waiver outside the door , i don't really like to do all that in front of others as their enjoying their hookah .. but i guess due the weather if it's cold you wouldn't want to do that huh ? So there's that ... oh , I would've loved to be in the back area on the swingy things and the music a tad /weeeee bit louder .. Now let's get to the good .. I absolutely love the ambiance .. very chilled . Like i can definitely bring my laptop and work all while doing hookah .. the Transition from the day to the evening is smooth and laid back . I love a good vibe ..the servers .. of course . Sometimes honest mistakes are happening as far as it's backed up waiting a little longer for my hookah . But judging by the sweat of the guy who was making the hookahs for the 15 + table let's me know he was working extra hard , but once the frustration came in for some , i noticed the owner come in cool ( i thought he was someone coming in wanting a table ,since he was your, help the hookah guy catch up on his orders & then come around and apologize to every single table & and explain that the guy was new ..everything went back to normal , i vibed out ... had a good time with my friends ..and the hostess /bartender was sooo nice , i felt as if i was talking to my friend.. it was like she was under pressure but polite and friendly still .. i like this place and it's cool .. nothing is perfect ESPECIALLY during COVID but as you can see i have no real complaints lol but overall i would definitely make this my reg spot, vibes , chill , great hookah , weird security guard lol , and the atmosphere is cute .. i don't like too much its just enough to not make feel like i have to dress up , but if i wanted too i could . I came during "happy hour" at 2:00 on a Thursday ordered a OG flavor and got charged 24.99 for it I asked why and he said that's just the price even tho it should be 19.99 for a OG flavor on a Thursday. I didn't even bother to argue with him just paid. Seats were Nasty and they could just go buy a $100 wet vacuum cleaner to clean up the seats I moved from the pink room (velvet chair) to a metal one instead. Got a refill and moved outside asked how much a refill was he said 9.99 I said okay couldn't decide so I asked what did he smoke & he said you want me to just whip something up for you ? I said okay & he brought out the refill it was okay I liked the first flavor better I went to pay and she told me it would be 18.99 I asked why she said he put all kind of premium flavors in there I didn't even argue I just paid and left. False advertisement & they over charge people even if it's by a couple of dollars. read more

Nice laid back atmosphere. My only issue is it closes at midnight. Unlike most hookah spots. But the service is speedy & very nice. You don't have to catch them down for refills or any of your needs. On a Friday night after dinner, my husband and I wanted to have some after dinner drinks/hookah. So, after checking yelp this location was the first to come up. After reading a few reviews and noticed it was BYOB. We decided to check it out. When we arrived the host greeted us, checked our ID's and and gave us the option of choosing our seating. We decided to sit at the bar. Once seated I quickly noticed what appears to be dusty dishes/coffee cups on the countertop. Along with, cases of sodas, chips and a bunch of other things scattered on the countertop and floor behind the bar. Ok, whatever no big deal, right. However, it's not a good look. A bit more organization is in order. But, overall this lounge is very chill and I love the cozy ambiance. They also have quit a few TV's to watch sports, news etc. and enjoy the top 40 hits/rnb music. The hookah was great and the coal was changed often. The hoses are new and they charged, I believe $2.00 and you can take it with you at the end of the night. As stated, you can BYOB and food. The staff provides cups and ice.
