Steve was my very first stop for shopping my loan and he initially spoke with me over the phone. He suggested that we set up an appointment to meet and go over our loan options. My husband and I had so many questions as first time home buyers and Steve was so professional and patient with us. He is an excellent educator, telling us what we needed to know about home mortgages, not overwhelming us with those big scary mortgage terms and explaining everything in as much detail as we needed without going overboard. He spent so much time with us in his office and we felt totally comfortable asking all of our questions. We initially opted to purchase a new home and had to go with the builder's lender to receive closing costs. That lender was awful to work with as a first time buyer (totally different review) and we even called Steve a couple of times throughout that process to have him clarify some things for us. He graciously helped us despite not being our lender at the time. Fast forward a couple of months and we decided the new home wasn't for us. We found a resale and quickly went back to Steve's office to help us with our mortgage needs. He and his team worked at LIGHTNING speed to help get a mortgage in place and we closed within 3 weeks. They kept us updated during every part of the process, were always available to assist us with questions/concerns, and never left us guessing at any point. First time home buying was such a fun/exhausting/confusing/emotional/stressful experience but I can honestly say dealing with our lender was the EASIEST part of the process thanks to WJB and the Schauer lending team. I got in touch with Steve and from our first conversation over the phone I felt comfortable with him and decided I would give him a shot. He did not disappoint. He is excellent at communication. He told me what he could do and what he could not do and even clued me in on some facts with the loan process that I was not aware of. I told him I was in a bit of a crunch to get the loan process worked out as soon as possible and he and his team went to work fast. If he had any questions at all he did not hesitate to call or email me. And likewise when I had any questions (and I had a lot) he was very quick at responding back and making me feel at ease with the entire process. When I closed on my home and went to sign my final loan documents Steve was just arriving at the airport from being out of town. He made it a point to rush from the airport to the loan document signing even though it wasn't necessary for him to be there. He just wanted to make sure he would be there to support his client (me) if I had any questions. I could not recommend Steve and his team more. He was efficient, honest and very quick to respond. My situation was complicated so it was immeasurably important having someone who was engaged and knowledgeable about the various loan options and processes.

I was contacted by these brothers and at first they were very friendly and seemingly helpful. I…read moreprovided everything needed within one day and was told everything was moving along. The first red flag should have been when they ran credit without giving me a heads up. I was willing to let that go. Disclosures were sent to me twice which I signed. All of a sudden in the middle of the process without any notice there was a slight delay in their communication. I was then told that they were in the middle of changing companies and that's the reason why. When I asked about the changing of companies and why I wasn't notified of this I was told it wasn't going to impact me at all and in fact it was going to be a better process and refi. It was even going to save money. I was told a 3rd set of disclosures weee going to be sent, which never came. Day after day and week after week at this point I was told there would be an appraiser contacting me. Each time this did not come to fruition. Days and days went on and it seemed somewhat strange that the once communicative Charles was now MIA. Eventually I reached him and he told me he was also going to reach out the same day, what a coincidence. At that point he told me that the old and the new company were both now having separate issues. One was with the fha and the property and the other with DTI. I provided what I was told would be very helpful for the type of loan issue and that I would hear back by noon the next day. The first company also ran credit and apparently didn't calculate correctly. So that was another mistake....Guess what, not only did I not hear back the next day, but 4 days later I still had not heard back. I reached out to Vincent with no response. Charles later texted back saying he was sick and that he was sorry but they couldn't meet the required timeframe and that they were doing their best. I let him know this was not how to handle this type of situation thru text and he said he would probably feel better and would contact me the following day which again he did not. At this point I reached out to the supposed new company and I'm waiting to hear back from them. Something is fishy and I will be reporting them to the BBB. I tried multiple times to resolve with them directly and they stopped responding. Maybe Vincent is sick too. Never had an issue such as this in my life. Btw: Lione Capital website is mysteriously not working. Apparently they are between companies, so I was told, and they are now also working with West Capital Lending. Calls left with them were not returned. My property management company told be to beware of them after he talked to them and he was right! Do not work with or trust these brothers. Something is off for sure.
