Came up for a tour which was great from a temp name Toni but after her helping everyone one else in management was a disaster to work with. Complaining and throwing each other under the bus about the process, no energy or effort to treat clients and the process with respect. Seemed like a very toxic environment to not only work in but live in. A reevaluation of their employees needs to happen immediately because no one was on the same page. The only pleasant part was Toni because her effort and welcoming energy was felt from the beginning. Everyone else had a very lackadaisical approach to their job and it's not fitting for the space. read more

This was one of the most frustrating and disappointing apartment application experiences I've ever had. The only positive part of this entire process was the first leasing agent spoke with, Toni. She was a breath of fresh air welcoming, professional and actually seemed to care about helping applicants. She followed up and made the process feel straightforward. Unfortunately, once my interaction moved beyond Toni, everything went downhill slow. Everyone else in the office seemed to far "busy" to help of provide any real communication. Instead of solutions, I watched Charleen repeatedly shift blame onto other people while offering absolutely no assistance herself. To make matters worse, both managers dragged their feet processing my application even though the system showed i was already approved. I was asked to sign a lease and purchase renters insurance, which i did and provided proof of, only to then be told the system was "wrong." So which is it? Approved enough to sign paperwork and spend money, but suddenly not approved when its time to actually move forward. The entire process felt disorganized, careless, and honestly like no one in the office was on the same page. I was asked for documents that made no sense and seemed completely unnecessary. Meanwhile my apartment search was being delayed because management couldn't seem to figure out their own system. At a certain point you have to ask yourself why getting approved for an apartment is being made this difficult when everything on the applicants side has been completed. It starts to feel less like a process issue and more like management picking and choosing who they want on the property. Overall, the lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic communication was shocking. The only person who showed any level of competence or customer service was Toni. Everyone else made what should be a simple application process unnecessarily difficult and incredibly discouraging . I strongly recommend management reevaluate how this office is being run, because right now it reflects very poorly on the property. read more

They are truth and complete package. From day one they have helped us make our experience living here perfect. Always very professional and courteous and ready to help. Lived in this dump for 365 days and regretted it everyday. First the office staff is so incompetent it took them over 2 months (of me calling everyday) to provide us the list of all the documents we need to rent this apartment. Then when we finally were able to move in the first apartment they gave us the keys for had an active roach infestation in the kitchen. When we advised them of the infestation they said they would have someone come out and spray. We refused that offer and had to demand a new apartment. The second apartment had someone else's garbage on the porch and was just in general dingy and dirty. After cleaning the whole apartment we finally moved into the apartment. "Landlord special" would be a generous thing to call how they maintained the place. The counter tops were crusty and peeling, everything was stuck with white paint (light switches, doors, outlets) and there were roaches all over the porch and walkways from the parking lot to the apartment. Then once we were actively living in the apartment we were repeatedly harassed and threatened by other tenants and their guests with zero help from the office. I had to call the police multiple times and have the Pittsburg police make contact and have them stop harassing me and my partner. There were physical fights, loud arguments and homeless people going through the garbage almost everyday. There were at least 50 stray cats on the property and they were having babies ALL THE TIME. Again, all of this was reported to the office but Maureen and Charlene could care less and never addressed these hazards. Homeless people would break into apartments that were empty and squat in them crawling in and out via the windows. If the homeless didn't get into the apartments the maintenance staff would use vacant units as places to throw loud parties for their friends and family. The property is a "smoke free community" but most of the residents either smoked cigarettes or weed freely on their porches or in common areas. Including the office staff Maureen and Charlene. This place is dirty, dangerous and generally unpleasant to live in. I couldn't move fast enough once my lease was up. Before vacating the property I made sure to clean the apartment and ensure there was nothing inside (trash or my property) I asked the office what the amount would be for the after move out cleaning which is standard and was told $300 for carpet cleaning (because of my service dog) and up to $250 for apartment cleaning (if it needed deep cleaning) to my surprise a month after the move out I received a bill for $600+ for painting, resealing the countertops on top of the carpet and apartment cleaning. Again I lived here for 365 days exactly. I will be taking legal action for this bill but honestly, I am just leaving this review to warn anyone who is even thinking of moving in here RUN! RUN FAR AWAY! Unless you are facing homelessness I would NEVER recommend living here even to my worst enemy. Maureen and Charlene deserve to be fired due to their misuse of the property and general bad work they do in this community. read more

We have been with Mosaic for more than 2 years already. We have the best experience! The place is secured and maintained clean. We have no problems with maintenance, they fast response whenever we needed help with repairs and fixture in the apartment and the admin staff was always approachable. This will be my second renewal, MAUREEN is a manager who replies immediately, for someone who is running a large complex, I dont know how she does it, but she "promptly" replies and handles every request. CHARLENE provided excellent customer service the way she took care of my referral, kind and efficient. SALVADOR, there ISN'T one thing this man cannot do! As busy as he is, he some how manages to fix everything, quickly and efficiently. CORPORATE: You have excellent employees who are taking care of this complex to the best of their ability, I RECOMMEND A RAISE TO BE SURE THEY KNOW THEY ARE APPRECIATED. I moved into the mosaic apartments in Feb 2018. I asked several times before moving in to see the actual unit I would be living in. This was not possible and they would only show the model unit. Note that the pictures of the model apartment, does not reflect what you will actually be getting. The 2nd night in the apartment I went into the kitchen to find the kitchen was infested with roaches. There were roaches of all age groups. Literally more than 30 that I saw just that first night. I contacted the front office immediately and they acted so surprised, stating they had never had a roach problem. The roaches were in every appliance in the apartment. They were in the digital clock display on the stove. They were in all the cabinets and drawers. It was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen and experienced. Maureen was extremely helpful. She started sending exterminators to my unit on a weekly basis. She had all appliances replaced and pro rated my first months rent since I didn't want to unpack anything for the kitchen, or buy any food. There were other issues with the unit. Bird's nest in the dryer vent, faucets flew off the kitchen sink. Holes in the kitchen sink and AC issues, but for me the worst part about living here was the trash. So much garbage everywhere. People litter all over here,and the management does nothing to clean it up. And dog poop. Even though dog stations are provided, people don't use them and again, it just sits. I wouldn't move here ever again, and I wouldn't recommend this to complex to anyone. Rating 2 stars only because of Maureen. read more

A renovation of the garbage areas would definitely give this complex a 5-star. I moved here in March 2017. Lucy (who is no longer in office) processed our application/lease. The process was quick and smooth, very straight forward. After we settled we noticed several issues with the unit, roaches in our fridge, a leaky roof, the toilet turned into a water fountain and a birds nest occupied the dryer vent. I was frustrated, I thought I'd made a huge mistake moving here but Maureen, the property manager helped with our change of heart to not leave. She was on top of it! She took every action necessary to ensure pest control reported to our unit on a weekly basis, covered our food expenses until cleaners came to bleach out the fridge and called on maintainance immediately. Maureen is significant to this property, she knows her stuff and holds down the fort (property). She is definitely 5 stars! People move in and out of these units so I don't blame Maureen for all the maintenance issues. However, the front desk help can use some customer service training and an attitude adjustment, thus the 3 stars! read more

As a current resident of The Mosaic Apartments i would say my experience has been nothing but excellent. The apartments are very quiet and there are a lot of families and pet owners that live here everyone stays to them self and the parking gets hectic sometimes but the ladies in the office my it worth while Maureen has a big heart and Cheyenne it goofy and you never catch her with out smile. The Mosaic apartments is professional and respectful they pride themselves in making their tenants comfortable and making sure things get fixed right away both the office staff and the maintenance practice those procedures. The apartments themselves are fine. Management is friendly . Theres always trash all over the trash bin area. People try throwing away couches and other big items. Homeless are constantly going through the trash. The neighbors are inconsiderate. They're either stinking up apartments with their weed, stomping around upstairs, or making a lot of noise in general. If someone is in your parking spot it is a huge hassle to get a tow truck over. read more

Most of the reviews on here are based off of the old management and owners of Mosaic. Mosaic is under new management/ownership now, and the manager is amazing. She truly tries to fit every tenants needs in every situation. She replaced the entire gate system. Has increased security, and has hired more staff then the old company had. When you live somewhere safety is key. Mosaic apartments is the ONLY apartment complex in the area with a professional armed security company! The tenants absolutely love this, as it is needed, and a huge factor in safety. These apartments are based off of luxury. I lived in this place for a year and a half just about. They have terrible parking!! My first 10 months being there, we had mice in our apartment and they didn't seem to do anything about it. They eventually moved us into another building. I really like it. The only thing is, our mailboxes got broken into and I didn't receive any of my mail. Our cars would constantly get towed. They charge you an arm and a leg after you move out. NO MATTER HOW CLEAN THE PLACE IS!! I cleaned for two days STRAIGHT! They still charged me about 400$ out of our 700$ deposit. Our dryer also had birds in the vents so our clothes weren't even drying. I would not recommend these apartments. PARKING IS TERRIBLE. I couldn't wait to be out of there! read more

I've been a tenant for 3 yrs @ mosiac. My stay has been truly amazing. The management team is very efficient and demonstrates sincere concern.. The grounds are immaculate, I have not seen any roaches and certainly no mice.. I highly recommend mosiac apartments. It's clean n quiet.. This is a good fit for me and my family ,me and my 9 yo daughter , as a place to live..because the community is more as a family ..and they are pet friendly so my two dogs are welcome as well and we have the feeling of being the right place for us..The office people, Mrs Maureen and Mrs Lucy are wonderful,they listen and take action on resolving anything what was brought to theyr attention..They resolved my,,issue" in timely manner and with a big smile on they're faces.I was also happy that the deposit was a lot less than other rental appartments around and that we have laundry room inside our place.Makes a big difference!!! By far the worst place I have ever lived. Not only were we given ridiculously outdated appliances, but the employees who work in the leasing office have no idea what they are doing. They misplace paperwork and important information which leads to overcharging, wrongful charging and so forth. I would give this apartment complex negative stars if I could. They have done nothing but cause my husband and I extra money and a hell of a lot of stress, tears and headaches. We would love nothing but to sue this apartment complex for it's harassment and mistakes but of course due to their ignorance, we have been drained of our resources but are looking in to lawyers for when we do have the means. This company does NOT care about the residence of the complex. They milk you for every penny even AFTER you move out. I strongly advise to stay away from this place no matter how good they make it look. read more

I have lived in these apartments since April of 2013, they were under different management back then. My apartment is outdated, which was fine when I moved in because the rent was $945 a month for a one bedroom, for that price I was ok with putting up with old appliances, absolutely no parking ever!, and loud weed smoking neighbors. Management switched to Trinity a year or so ago, they are updated the apartments that are vacated and they look pretty nice from I've seen, but the paint job they did on this place is just awful, A pretty big indication that they do not care at all about their complexes they own. So now my rent is being raised to $1450 this June, nearly a %60 raise. They have not updated my apartment, it is exactly the same as it was when I was paying $945 and they will not let me switch my parking spot to one thats even near my apartment, I have not seen any improvement in this complex, and I don't see why I should have to pay nearly %60 more. As far as I can tell Trinity management is incredibly greedy, they are hoping to appeal to the influx of San Francisco commuters, and raising their prices until those of us that actually work and live our lives in Pittsburg, can no longer afford to be here. Unless I start bringing in %60 more a month, I will be moving out in June, and I will update this review to inform about how that goes, but from what I've read from other former residents, I have a feeling somehow I will be billed in addition to them keeping my deposit, regardless of how clean and well kept this apartment is. read more

Requested that pest control treat complex for fleas which would benefit all tenants with pets. Posted this request tip to Facebook. Received statement they would present this to the pest control. Later my post was removed from Facebook. No word yet from Mosaic Apartments if this will be done or not. We lived in Tennessee for several years without any issues with fleas. The apartments are not worth $1300 a month. I just recently moved back in to find that they've painted over mold and rust. My neighbors are always getting high and I can smell it through my walls. There's never any parking if you own two vehicles. There's always homeless people digging in the trash cans prostitution seems to be big over here. The only good thing they've got going is the maintenance & staff. The gym is also okay could use some free weights. But the appliances are super outdated my toilet barely flushes the thermostat is old cats everywhere it really sucks.. I recently moved out of this apartment after living there for past 3 years, i moved in when they were Presidents Park Apartments. The worst management to deal with, when call them, they will not pick up the phone at the first time and when you see them in their office walking around, but if you call them twice in a row they pick up. I called and left message that at the end of the lease i will move out, since i had the feeling of that they will raise the rent as usual, and they give only 30 days notice and by law they suppose to present notice at least 60 days if they raising the rent more than 10%. Yet after cleaning the apartment spot less and they charging me for notice fee and other fee which i never knew off, and instead of them refunding my deposit they want me to pay them, RIDICULOUS !!, Now i have to take them to the small claims court read more

My second year here by now has been by far the most the most exhausting, yet exhilarating experience because, through difficult, complicating, and yet Triumph times, mosaic management has never fallen short of anything less than understanding, consideration, and heartfelt sympathy through the most difficult times. my first year here was challenging, and I dragged myself to the leasing office every month with hopefully heartfelt excuses why and when, and I've never felt less then human, or a single woman, or just struggling and uncertain. My rent has literally doubled, since moving to Northern California, and I remember leasing management, tell me she was human, she understands, and empathetic 2 mi Financial struggles a year ago. so she understands, and that means a lot to me, especially when you feel stuck between a rock and a hard place, and homelessness and depression plagues your past. Shout out two more Maureen and Charlene! So as far as property management is concerned building is in good solid condition, since I park next to the trash dumpster I do notice the excessive overflow, however it is address and I do notice that the dumpster is regularly tended to. I also like the fact that maintenance where's shoe covers when entering my unit since the Cove it 19 crisis, and that's appreciated because it shows respect and consideration, in addition to their own face covers. Whatever maintenance issue cannot be fixed it is immediately replaced, I've received nothing but the best in maintenance repair work. The only issue that I can think of at this point is when work was done to clean off the rooftop and the debris was blowing to the patio, which is just pine needles I'm sure however I had two bags of pine needles and I have to clean up and it was exhausting but it was it was done! read more

Been living here since June 2019 and it's been a terrible experience ever since. First night here I questioned how much it is to break lease. The walls are so thin you can hear people sneeze! Everytime someone flushes their toilet or uses the shower you can hear it. Kids play basketball all hours of the night. Been woken up at 4 am on a Monday morning by 3 teens playing basketball and making noise. They moved a couple in above us that has a dog that runs around all day and howls when they are gone. People let their dogs crap all over the place. Parking is TERRIBLE. no one parks in their covered parking spaces talking up all other spaces. If you have more than 1 car forget it. Garbage is everywhere. People leave their furniture near the trash cans. They charge you for water, sewage and garbage so you're basically paying for everyone else's things. The absolute worst part.. MANAGERS ARE NEVER IN THEIR OFFICE. Never there by phone, in office but they make sure to leave notices in your door in the middle of the night on a Friday so you can't talk to them the next day. You wait by the door and some random maintenance guy comes and changes the sign and says he doesn't know when the managers are coming. They are never there and unreachable. Only reason my husband and I haven't left yet is bc of the damn 1yr lease. read more

where do i start this place is GROSS the garbages are always over flowing into the street. Your car will get towed when parked in a parking spot and they will act like they dont know if it was towed or not. People block the parking lot all day long so you have to go threw a maze just to park your car .and also the kids run wild in the parking lot and have a game that they will wait on the side walk for a car to come then jump in front of the car . and noone does nothing. Oh an Mareen the manager is a piece of work if your not a man flirting with her she will not help you in no way and is rude AF . i really dont know how she works with the public everyone knows not to deal with her since she is so rude and unhelpful. You can NEVER get a answer on the phone and they wont call you back either. when you have a work order it will only get done if you call after hours emergency line! Do NOT move her you will regret it . no one stays longer then a year . the homeless are always there and break into the empty apartments and sleep and do drugs in them . they always will steal out of your patio . Just woke up to a bad experience, luckily my year lease is up soon. So some time ago someone else was parked in my parking spot at around 1am in the morning. Went to the security guard and he told us that they didn't give him the authority to call a tow truck, only could place a little warning note on the car. IDK some BS like that. He then proceeded to telling us to park outside the gate and that he usually tells people that. Cause of course the number 1 complain i see here on Yelp is that there is never enough extra parking outside of your 1 assigned spot. Anyways.... Last night, once again we couldn't find extra parking so we parked outside the gate. We woke up this morning to find our car was towed by the building next to the apartments that own that lot. Now we have to pay $400 to get our car back. WTF why would the security guard lead us to believe it was OK to park there every now and then. Luckily i just researched and filing a small claims against Mosaic isn't expensive. Filing paper work so they can pay our towing ticket. Yes i know it was the security guard who told us, but he's employed by the apartments, they should have given him proper procedure or instructions on what to tell residents on where else to park. Lucy is absolutely amazing!! I thought about moving here previously when they had old management in 2015 and was quickly turned off due to horrible attitude and unresponsive type of customer service so I moved across the street and paid a bit more at then ventana's. I came back November 2016 to see if there had been any changes and look what we had here new management but Lucy stayed from previous management. I was ecstatic!! things have changed for the better. The outside appearance, the in and out traffic, and people hanging out outside. (I could generally see these things from across the street as my window faced e leland rd) These apartment have improved I can now give them 4 stars. 4 only because I hate that blue color they painted the apartments lol read more

I have lived there for one year. It is a good apartment complex with a good price. The two-bedroom apartment has washing machine and dryer inside. The apartment assistant Lucy and previous apartment manager Triskin are nice and courteous. The handymen are professional and easy-going. The security guard patrols the apartment complex everyday, so nothing has ever happened to my apartment and cars. BTW, the current apartment manager Binczek is an honest and generous gentleman. He not only gave me a correct pro-rated rent price when I moved out, but also returned all the security deposit $700 to me in the following week without keeping one cent. Usually other apartment complexes have different excuses to rip off your deposit. Incredible! read more
