Absurdly took advantage of my elderly parents situation with insane pricing and drastically overcharging them!

We loved our room remodel. Mosby did a great job in a very tight timeline. Delivered within promised number of days and it's beautiful!

Schaub+Srote Architecture Firm should be your first choice for your home building project, here's…read morewhy: In my first meeting with them I was a bit nervous but that quickly went away due to their professionalism, knowledge, qualifications and their personalities that made me feel at ease and like we were on the same page. After giving them several of my ideas as far as looks, layout, type of home and genre, I hit them with something I thought was going to scare or detour them from my project...the fact that I'm paralyzed and need a COMPLETELY ACCESSIBLE home! Boy was I wrong! They put me at ease with their knowledge of ADA laws and in describing several past projects they worked on with the same parameters. In a timely manner, they returned back with my DREAM HOME! I was in shock! After just our initial meeting, they drew up plans for something I have always pictured but couldn't put on paper...they did it! I couldn't be any happier with the design they provided. It is a testament to their attention to detail, knowledge and vast experience. After a few SMALL tweaks, we were ready to go. Throughout the building process, Schaub+Srote acted as my general contractor, due to my limited ability. They were at the job site constantly, talking with contractors and overseeing the project was not only done right, but in a timely manner. Throughout the entire build, I was given several updates as to work that was completed and upcoming work to be completed. They were at my disposal, through phone, conference calls, email, texts and even in person. Whenever I wanted to talk to them, they made themselves available. They NEVER made me feel like I was a bother to them or a disruption to their work, but rather a part of my project and the process. Throughout this process, I also worked tirelessly with interior designer, Heather Helms. She had the same level of professionalism, knowledge, experience and pleasant demeanor, as Schaub+Srote. She helped me pick EVERYTHING for my new home and balanced perfectly, the fine line of her knowledge with my tastes. I NEVER once felt she was over reaching or thinking all my ideas were horrible. I felt more like we were a team and she loved my ideas and she helped bring everything together! It is for these reasons I, not only, give Schaub+Srote Architecture Firm five stars, I will ALWAYS consider them family and maintain close contact with each and every one of them!

Surprisingly enough, there's a lot of cool things for sale, like an architectural history of St. Louis, as well as some diagrams and plans for new developments in the area. This feels like a functional gift shop, where information is sold, rather than trinkets. However, you can buy trinkets, but of a more sturdy quality. They have some really cool St. Louis snow globes available, and some architectural models for the more adventurous hobbyist. I would suggest this to Downtown visitors who are acclimating themselves to St. Louis. It's actually quite informative to glance at the architectural history of the area before venturing off into other parts of the city.

They stock many books that would be of interest for architects or those interested in architecture. But they also carry a nice array of gifts and objects d'art related to architecture. As an example, they have some nice postcards, 3d building puzzles, models, paintings, etc. They tend to feature artwork done by local architects such as sculptures or photographs. Anyway, it is a nice little place to take out-of-towners if you are downtown - especially if looking for some St. Louis keepsakes that you can't find anywhere else in town. As a bonus, it gives you an excuse to walk around in the lobby of the Lammert Building, a restored gem of a turn-of-the-century office building downtown.
