I liked Kay right off the bat! She's gives off a very calm and friendly vibe and is wonderful to talk too. I enjoyed our sessions a lot. Talking through my issues was nice and getting her take was helpful. The sessions were very relaxing as well. What I regret was not taking the audios seriously. I should have listened to them every day to get the benefit but I neglected that. I think that was why I didn't really think hypnosis was fully for me. It helped but not as much as I hoped. Forward to April 2020. I got infected with Covid in March and was dealing with many symptoms that would not go away. One of them was horrible acid reflux. I've had acid reflux in the past but this was 20x worse! Diet and medicine weren't helping and Kay texted me to check in with how I was doing (perfect timing!). I figured why not try hypnosis again and see. We had our session via FaceTime. I really liked doing it via FaceTime bc I could do it from the comfort of my couch or bed. No looking for parking or driving to SF. I stopped the medicine but continued to eat GERD friendly and listened to the audio we made 3x a day. My acid reflux went away! I just had to be diligent. I then developed another covid symptom a week or so later which was horrible headaches and nerve pain. I had another session with Kay and my symptoms improved. A couple of weeks later I stated having chest pains and heart palpitations, which is think was because I was too plugged into social media surrounding covid. My anxiety went through the roof. I could not stop being anxious. It was really really bad. My heart was racing so much all day. I had a session yesterday and I'm already feeling less anxious. My heart rate is going back to normal and I'm so grateful to Kay. I was considering taking anxiety meds and but I'm glad I tried Kay first. I think it's a combination of talking it through with Kay and doing the therapy that really helped. She really is amazing at what she does and I recommend her to anyone dealing with either physical or mental issues.

I got a lot out of only a handful of sessions together--she was immediately helpful and never pressured me to engage in any sort of long term engagement, which I really appreciate. I have new tools I was able to put to immediate use, but more than that, her insightful questions and active listening helped me find the clarity I was seeking. I cannot recommend her enough. P.S. this was written by a real actual human :)

I don't sleep during the day anymore and I now walk about 2 miles a day and I have lost 97 lbs from me in the picture with the machine on my head! I love Dr. Kevin and Dr. Jo. They worked to manage my meds very hard and when I emailed them, they, or someone from the office, would email or call me back in about 30 minutes or less. I think I have been seeing them for my meds for 6 or 7 years and I fully recommend them. Simon is the behind the scenes man that runs the TMS machines that will help relax, bipolar, PTSD, paranoid, schizophrenia, effective disorder, anxiety, depression and many other mood disorders. She explained that it only works 60% of the time and I would have to come 5 times a week for six weeks. She said it would be most effective if I am consistent and don't take breaks. I cleared my calendar and committed to the treatments. Halfway through, without notice or explanation, she told me she would be gone for a month. I told her I had committed to this time and she said only that "it couldn't be helped." I asked if someone could cover her and she said "no." We would resume when she came back and she would add extra sessions. I told her I had already made other plans and she just shrugged and repeated "it couldn't be helped ." Clearly, her time was more valuable than mine and, as a patient, I came second. I've never known any doctor, especially a mental health doctor, who didn't have a backup in case of emergency and would abandon a depressed patient. We finished treatment and it didn't help me at all. She said she didn't know if it was because of the break or if I was part of the 40% who didn't respond. She said we could wait a while and start over without any breaks and i said "no thanks." It would mean another huge commitment of time for me and more income for her. I found her practice to be very unprofessional bordering on malpractice and would not recommend her.

I guess. Weird but I'm not saying he had nefarious intentions. What bothered me was that after seeing him and being prescribed schedule II medications.. he just dropped me as a patient. He ghosted me. He never replied to me. Pretty unethical no? I don't care why you want to or need to drop me but just tell me. Simple as that.

I usually left feeling misunderstood, stuck, and frustrated with a lack of progress. I'm also not someone who typically writes reviews, so the fact that I'm taking the time to write this says a lot about how strongly I feel. I first reached out to Dr. Chacko for help with depression, anxiety, and ADHD. Now 4+ years later, I can say without hesitation that he has been a genuinely transformative force in my life. What makes Dr. C stand out is how fundamentally different he is from any therapist I've ever worked with. He deeply cares about his patients. He goes above and beyond. He's honest, straightforward, and a good human. He says the things you need to hear and always with compassion. He's deeply empathetic, emotional, and genuine. There's no clinical distance or therapist "mask." He's right there with you as a real person. And he's also not afraid to get vulnerable himself. Sometimes he'll ask if he can share a personal story to help make a point, which means a lot to me. Those moments make our sessions feel more human and meaningful. It's not the typical one-way therapist-patient relationship. He takes the time to really understand you. Not just your symptoms, but who you are, how you think, and what you actually need, and because of this, he gets to know you deeply over time. The fact that he's both a therapist and an MD adds another layer of trust, especially when navigating issues like ADHD and anxiety. I can say without hesitation that working with Dr. C has changed my life for the better. I'm grateful every time I walk into his office, and I can't recommend him highly enough.
