My point being that they were not at all swamped with customers requiring assistance. That said, the persons behind the counter were more interested in telling stories about their personal firearms, etc. and everything else, other than offering to assist me. I was disappointed and offended by the way I was disregarded. Over the years I have purchased multiple firearms from this location, as well as thousands of dollars of optics, accessories, ammunition, reloading supplies, and other assorted gear. However, after this, I do not intend to give them another dollar of my hard-earned money. Although I do intend to suggest to all the shooters and hunters I know that they go elsewhere in the future. Overall, just a good group of people to talk to. The selection is eclectic. Their main inventory is firearms. There is a huge selection of both new and used guns. But this is one of the few places where you can drive away with a pile of guns and ammo, farm equipment and a boat on your brand new (to you) tractor trailer. The prices on guns are very reasonable. There are also two gun ranges. These are not like other gun ranges you have been to. There aren't stalls. But I am not aware of any place where you can pay $5 to shoot your own ammo on your own gun into a giant trash pile (bring your own targets...empty wine bottles, actual targets, be creative). If your gun was bought there, it's free to use the range. My husband and I have started bringing our visiting out of town guests to Mitch's for a couple of hours of recreational entertainment. It's a fun way to give them a really unique Mississippi experience!

I visit a lot of thrift shops, because I read a lot and I'm a cheap bastard. This joint has one of the best selections of used books that I've seen anywhere, from Atlanta to Florida. The books were cheap...50 cents, if my memory serves. I didn't ramble around much, other than the book section. I had stuff to do and just wanted to find some books. But you'd be short-changing yourself if you like to read and don't visit this place and buy something. It's for a great cause and you should always support your local businesses. Just don't think about the dirty fingers of whoever read that used book the last time. They probably licked their fingertips before they turned every page.

They have the best selection of trendy boutique clothing in Columbus. My experience shopping in stores like this is that the clothing is trendy and inexpensively made. I think that's fine, as long as you don't plan on wearing anything from here for the next 10 years. It won't be in style then, anyway. Many of the items here can be found in similar boutiques in college towns or online. I have a friend who owns an online boutique who frequently buys clothing from "the best seller list". I guess this "list" is something shared by boutique owners, and apparently DSP shops from the same list. I often see the same things for sale at her online store and at DSP at comparable prices. The new location is nice. It looks empty to me. Not sure if that's because they downsized their collection or because the new location is larger. In any case, I like shopping here. Cute clothes and accessories. Nice sales people. Thumbs up.
