Home accents, clothing, boats, motors, guns, fishing gear, camping supply stuff and more. I would much rather spend my $$ here than at a national chain. I had a very disappointing experience with an employee named Chris at Woods & Water. I asked a few questions about a scope, and instead of being helpful, he had a bad attitude and responded with unnecessary sarcasm throughout the conversation. After we decided to leave, Chris actually came outside after us and told us to "go enjoy the view of the city somewhere else." It was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely uncalled for. Customer service should make people feel welcome, not insulted for asking questions. Based on this experience, I won't be returning, and I hope management addresses how customers are treated. read more

Woods & Water DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL. I bought a $200 solar trail/security camera (Defend 360 by Tactacam). Within 2 weeks the camera stopped working. The plug end of the solar panel charge cable seperated causing the camera to not work/charge, no physical damage what so ever. I still had my receipt and all of the original packaging. I simply went in the store to swap the camera with the same model. I didn't want a refund, just wanted the same camera. I was only able to speak to a cashier about it who then went and spoke to a "gun manager". What I was told was "since the camera had been used they would not replace or refund"(camera is only 2 weeks old and still new condition) and that I would have to contact the manufacturer to see if they would send me a new solar panel with charge cable. I am so sick an tired of businesses like this selling products and if/when you have any problem with it "oh well you're SOL because you used the product that you paid money for, go figure it out yourself". P.S.- I won't put a name but the cashier I spoke to and who I have been through her register line a few times has that attitude that every customer who walks through the door just ruins her day, having to put her phone down or stop gossiping with the other cashier and actually do a little work is a inconvenience to her. read more

Extremely small selection for women. Grabbed a Tusk Wear tshirt & walked to checkout. Shirt didn't have a tag. Cashier asked me to go get one with a tag. Did that & walked back to the cashier. Then she said "the other cashier will check you out". So I grabbed both shirts & went over to the second cashier. She apologized stating "the other cashier is new". Well the "new girl" needs to be trained better. Woods & Water is an extremely scaled down version of Bass Pro. I will drive to Leeds from now on & shop at Bass Pro! read more

Woods and Water have a very nice selection of outdoor gear but the customer service negates all of that when asking for help from a manager for the store, everyone steps up saying they are the manager, to cover their friends, this is not good, it's not a good way to do business. read more

Went to woods & water with a friend of mine to buy us both a new bow. We were helped selecting our new bows and getting them "set up". I did not get my peep sight tied in for another two weeks because the "archery guy" was never in and when I did, it had a 90° twist. I, like a fool went back to this establishment to purchase some more arrows cut to 29 1/2 inches, get home and just to verify their craftsmanship I measure them, they cut them to 29 3/4 inches. I drove 2 hours to Prattville to get my bow properly tuned, peep straightened out, and to buy more accessories. I've given this place thousands of dollars and regret ever giving them a cent. read more

Won't even let you in to buy a mask to wear inside if you forgot yours at the house. Cashier and fat security guard were rude about it.

Good store with a good selection. Great variety of Firearms and ammo. Only downside is make sure you know everything about your firearm when purchasing parts. Every number, inch, etc. If not they will not hesitate to embarrass you in front of everyone and make you look like a fool. I was fixing up a cheap .22, went in to buy a scope mount for a scope with no Magnification on it. Guy talked to me like I was an Idiot. Pretty sad service. 100% prefer Bass Pro or Cabelas when buying parts for your rifle. read more

Knowledgeable gun department and archery shop. Can usually help you out. Their clothing is always marked up pretty high. In the old days it was more of a purely outdoor store. Too much expensive home decor and non-outdoor items now for my taste. read more

Very friendly staff and the store is well run with a great selection of outdoor equipment. I was blown away with the gun selection. If they don't have something in the store (which is very rare in my experience), the website has it all and is very well built and user friendly. Terrible customer service, not only in the store, but on the phone as well!! Placed an order in the Archery Department on 08/06/13, was told it would be in within a week. I won't bore you with all the "lies" , but just received item today, 08 21 2013. Needless to say we won't be shopping there again. read more

I stopped by today to purchase some Crimson Tide (Tusk wear). They had the female Sherpas on a rack marked down significantly so I picked one up for my gf. I purchased other things as well. Once at the counter the Cashier didn't even know how to ring up the Sherpa. She had to ask her co-worker. Once she entered what her co-worker told her it rang up different than the sale price. I told them that there were more on the same rack. They stated that it wasn't right and would not honor the price. They didn't even go check. Once I purchased my other items I was walking to confirm that I was right and the cashier stated "I've got this" very rudely. I wish I would've returned my other merchandise. Very nice selection of shotguns, rifles, handguns, ammunition, clothing, boots, outdoor gear, fishing rods and reels and all other assorted equipment. Where else can you buy a leather couch, a 17 foot canoe and a .50 BMG semi-auto rifle in one place? No other place in Tuscaloosa, that's for sure. The staff is helpful, the prices are a little high but not exorbitant, and the quality of everything they sell is top notch. Check out the trophies in the back of the store, next to the premium gun case (check that out, too). read more

The location of this store gives this place a little authenticity. Don't always have a good supply and stock of the hottest brands like Patagonia and North Face. Sales are usually pretty good. read more

Billboards advertise biggest selection Yeti--not true. Hard to find location. Women's bathroom had about 1/4 roll of toilet paper for 2 stalls; didn't look like it had been cleaned in a couple of days. Great sale on boots and good selection of Green Egg. read more

Fun store. Great gun selection, decent prices there. Where they get you is on accessories, ammo, clothing, etc. If you're into overpriced name brands and meh customer service (I typically have to seek out someone to help me), then you'll feel right at home. I sure miss Tony Laws and the original location. He always made you feel like the most important customer he had. They still have some decent clearance sales, especially right after Christmas, but if you find an item that you really like at regular price, you can find a much better deal elsewhere. read more

I went to get a new rain coat and ended up buying more than I anticipated. The clothing selection is very large and the sales make buying some of the more expensive brands feel like highway robbery. All in all a good experience. read more

Great store, excellent selection of products in every department. If you are an outdoors person of any kind from hunter to tailgater, this is the place to shop. Customer service has always been very good for me. Great location, convenient to get to, and don't have to drive half way across the state. I will always use Woods and Water for my outdoor needs.
