I had rotator cuff surgery in December 2025 and started rehab here on January 30, 2026. From the start, this place runs like a well-oiled machine. First, Cindy did an excellent job scheduling all my appointments as soon as my insurance approved the sessions, which made the whole process seamless. McKenna and Gloria were always helpful with heat, ice, music, and keeping everything clean and organized. And of course, Laurie, my physical therapist, was outstanding. From day one she was professional and genuinely invested in my recovery. She took the time to ask about my hobbies so she could tailor exercises specifically to me. I'm an avid fisherman, so Laurie (along with Steve) even created exercises geared toward fishing. They made the whole process enjoyable. That said--don't try to cheat on your exercises. Laurie somehow has eyes in the back of her head! On my last day, I got to ring the bell, and Laurie set me up with great exercises and advice to continue at home. Thank you to everyone at Ivy Rehab for such a positive experience.

Was diligent in…read moreworking with me pre surgery to see if surgery would be avoidable, though in the end it was decided to be necessary. This being a workers comp claim their was pushback from the insurance company that the office staff dealt with and handled wonderfully. I had a scope of my left shoulder and recovered quicker than expected and my three incision points are hardly noticable, surgery was effective and professional and I now actually have better range of motion with my left shoulder than my right. As long as you follow the Drs orders pre and post surgery you are in great hands, I wouldn't change a thing. Highly recommended as a surgeon and orthopedic specialist.

She has given me several exercises while at the center and a worksheet to follow so I can continue doing them at home. I feel confident in her abilities in helping. But beyond that, the place itself is very welcoming and friendly. I love to hear the laughter and banter that goes on between the staff with their clients and with each other. The seem to all genuinely like their jobs and each other! I will continue to use them until I no longer need their help.

I then tried twice to call the office directly twice, got a recording, left a detailed message and as of this moment I have nothing but "Klara" asking which location. I explained my both by text and on the messages that my husband has dementia and lower back pain and I am recuperating from a very recent (3 weeks) liver transplant. I am posting this because I am appalled that you would treat anyone this way. Maybe you are so busy and profitable that you don't need to be responsive. Thank you Dr. Barrick for giving me my quality of life back. It started with tingling in my fingers…read morethen into my arms then my shoulders and then my whole back. It kept me up all night, I would get 15 minutes sleep at best since before waking up. I went to Dr. Barrick on the advice of another neurosurgeon Dr. Oslewski from Misrecordia hospital in New Rochelle for a second opinion on surgery. The best thing I ever did. I decided to go with Dr. Barrick because of his knowledge and minimal invasive surgery. The other Dr. would've kept me in the hospital for a week then in internal rehab for two weeks. Dr. Barrick said I would be back home within two days, not true, I was home within 15 hours from the surgery. He came to my bedside before the surgery and after the surgery, he also took my wife aside which put her at ease. The follow ups were fantastic, he took his time, explained everything and when the insurance company wouldn't give me my bone stimulator he got involved by calling them personally three times. I got the bone stimulator. The numbness went away and I was sleeping again. Thank you very much Dr. Barrick, I HIGHLY recommend this Doctor.

Between the compound/open fracture and the other broken bones, my morning started off tragically wrong. Thankfully, Dr. Tam is more skilled than all the king's horses and all the king's men because he was able to put me back together again! Dr. Tam impressed me with his straight-forward "this is what I would do if it were me" approach. I like options, but he isn't afraid to tell you what the best option is. Before surgery, he put his hand on my shoulder and let told me, "You'll be alright." He assured me he would do his best. His tone and the warmth of a human touch comforted me. I was very impressed by his skill. This isn't his first rodeo and he is very familiar with the ins and outs of surgery. I'm pretty sure he gave me a Borg implant, take a look at the picture and tell me what you think! I hope I don't start saying, "Resistance is futile!" Nothing but praise for Dr. Tam and I highly recommend him. If you need his services then you're in a bad situation. Trust him and he will get you to recovery as fast as possible.

But, at the time it was fun. Dr. Rudder took the time to explain the options, and the pros cons of each. Received a Cortizone shot while I was there. The doctor and his assistant took every opportunity to make it as comfortable as possible. The office is kept clean, the front desk takes care of the insurance claims. There's plenty of free parking and a carriage trade entrance.

The deferred care was due to my travel schedule and that was on me. What is on them, however was a rigorous schedule of PT which I was devoted to that made my symptoms feel worse. The doctor there whose name escapes me, sent me to PT. After many many weeks, I went back to the physician, whose office is located right in the same building tells me he has no plan to fix the problem, but merely to deal with the symptoms. Back to the PT itself: the first visit was very thorough and attentive. Subsequent visits were basically feeling like one is on his or her own - you sign in and people are available if you have questions but in most cases, nobody's really checking to see if you're doing things properly or risking further injury. I went for many many weeks, always on time. Always early to check in on a very long line. My early appointments meant that I was one of just a handful of patients yet the one time I was online for an additional time causing me to get to the window. About five minutes late, they refused my appointment. That was kind of the last straw for me. They lost me as a patient and I would not recommend them unless they have made major changes to patient oversight/assistance during and throughout the physical therapy sessions, and get back to health and not wealth.

Reading other reviews, apparently I'm not the only one having a similar experience, not once but twice. How hard is it to write a prescription for PT? Apparently, it's out of the wheelhouse of the physician. First time, didn't code it right, and in reading it afterward, it was for the wrong body part. Took 2 weeks to get it rectified, along with 6 phone calls to the office, who apologized, and sent the exact same wrong prescription over to the PT place, finally corrected. Follow up appointment, I get 4 different texts, starting a week ahead asking me to confirm my appointment, which I did. The day of my appointment, I arrive on time, to find my appointment has been cancelled. Reason? Doctor had emergency surgery. Somebody called you, but no one answered. I have no idea who they called, but it wasn't me, show my phone history to the very nice receptionist, she sighs, and says well, they were supposed to call you. Phone number in the system is correct, but none of the other information is correct. They have an address that I haven't lived at in 26 years, I actually have no idea, how they have this address. Second time correcting that issue, and the follow up cancelled appointment is 2 months after the first visit. How long does it take them to correct an address? I see the doctor today which is 2 days after the cancelled appointment. Issues haven't changed, he asks me why I haven't had the MRI..... to which I replied "What MRI"?, they should have scheduled it at the front desk. Turns out it was scheduled, but the MRI place never called me (Or so they say). Go figure....probably got that same wrong phone number from the office. So, I tell the physician, the issues with the first prescription, and how it delayed care.....(crickets) didn't get a response. I check out, and I'm supposed to pick up a script for more PT and an MRI at the front desk. No script for PT, call goes back to the doctor, and I have to wait for the script, albeit only 15 minutes. Nurse apologizes, very nice, I didn't look at it, and left for the PT place to drop it off. Guess what? Wrong script, wrong body part. Script for MRI is correct, PT nope. How could this be anything other than the physician himself. It wasn't just a simple oops and some clerical mistakes, this entire operation from all aspects has no idea what they are doing, read the other reviews I am not an anomaly at all. Now the Physician. He is a spine doctor. I was referred to him by another orthopedist who said, not my specialty, and from your symptoms you need someone with this expertise. Correct just not this guy. She was willing to treat the issues I had with my knee which was very swollen, bruised and some meat removed from it. The first visit is about 1 1/2 months after the accident. After seeing him twice, I can't for the life of me fathom a guess as to why it took so long to get an appointment. I was in a head on auto accident with another vehicle who entered our lane of traffic. Now, I was specifically seeing him, because another physician recommended I see him, didn't pick him out of a phonebook or for any other reason. To say he seemed disinterested is being polite, barely examined me, and said it's going to take a long time until you feel better. The nurse had to bring up the chart for him to look at it and see for the first time. Same second go around, didn't bother to look and even question why a test he ordered wasn't performed, before going to see him a second time. Now my daughter was with me for the first exam. Her opinion was what a waste of time that was he barely looked at you. Second visit was shorter and less of an exam than the first. No follow up, no follow through, and couldn't be bothered. Do not waste your time, I went to a spine doctor who never physically examined my spine.

Since COVID I get a text for preregistration. I get this sometimes a whole week prior. I usually wait for the same day of the appointment to o fill it out as they require the co-pay to be paid as well. For this reason I wait in case they reschedule an appointment (which I've had appointments cancelled and not by me). Yet when texting in the past long lot that I'm present for my appointment I'm informed that the referral is expired. Why not tell me in text sent a week prior? I could've arranged to get the referral. Now I'm being stressed that I would be responsible , blah, blah blah. Plus when i do get the referral they insist on my primary to fax it over. They're busy as well. Train your people to go into the site and retrieve them or hire competent people to do so. Anyway. I cancelled the appoint and rescheduled. Not gonna jump through hoops. Although I'm hurting I'm not gonna get high blood pressure for something that could've been prevented by the staff.
