FYI, this is now a {my}dentist franchise. I went for an initial checkup on Monday. The clinician was an agressive, angry Eastern European that talked to me like a second class citizen as she thought I was NHS after something for nothing. She told off her colleague twice in the first few minutes and repeatedly talked over me when I tried to explain my problem. There was no way I was going to continue trust this person as my dentist so I got up and left. I should have known better as multiple people have warned me about {my}dentist which I now know to be true. Never again. read more

A couple of years ago I managed to get on the NHS list at the Mostyn House Dental Practice. I made an appointment and turned up on the day to find a waiting room packed to the rafters with people. It turned out that there should have been three dentists on duty but one had phoned in sick and one had been stranded in Poland! The one who had turned up was undoubtedly working his socks off but there was no way he could cope with the workload of three men. I waited about an hour but when it became clear I'd still be sat there for hours to come I got up and left. Why no one had the wit and wisdom to start phoning patients and rearranging appointments I'll never know. I never went back and have now registered with a competent dental practice. read more

Miserable girl on reception and gets facts wrong and the dentists do only very minimal dental work I needed three fillings and was suffering from jaw ache due to grinding my teeth and they just said ''Your okay see you in 9 months''. If you can go elsewhere then try your best as they just want people who pay cash and cash only. read more

My husband and I used to use this dentist. It is by far the worst we have ever been to. From start to finish you just feel like you're a nuisance. Staff are so busy chatting it takes a good five minutes to answer the phone and even then they are still chatting to one another. Their language is unprofessional, we've heard them swear in the past and they don't seem to care if children can hear. Last time I went, the toilet seat was broken, but the loo was still in use..... First complaint in 2012, of criminal misrepresentation and attempted fraud, after denial of treatment being available on NHS. Never provided with Complaints Procedure despite phone calls, personal requests and letter, believed they failed to register complaints with regulators as required. Following notification of intended police involvement re: above, they apologised and accepted treatment available on NHS, then performed several fillings and extractions - including removal of front tooth which was okay - through 2013, preparatory to agreed Crown bridge work. My dentist Anthony Davies left, then practice REFUSED to complete contracted work, deal with complaints, or provide forwarding details of Mr Davies. Their "dentist" Razvan Cimpean was confrontational, refused to allow treatment from anyone in practice and dismissed me as patient without notice that day. He declared "I don't care about the law". Reported to NHS and health Board regulators, practice manager refused to contact me for one month, THEN denied reception staff had passed on 4 complaints, denied had contact from Health Board, then alleged Health Board office told her not to deal with complaints (refuted by HB officers.) Appears practice is in deliberate breach of General Dental Council rules about complaints registering again. THIS PRACTICE IS DISHONEST, UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND A DISGRACE TO THE DENTAL INDUSTRY. Direct legal action seems the only process for patients to take, as the practice refuses to comply with their industry obligations completely. read more

The Practice has moved to new premises at 3 Deganwy Avenue. I registered with them when they first opened and have had first class treatment and check-ups ever since. Any business can have a bad day but over all I think I have received as good a service and treatment from this practice as I would have got from any Fee charging private dental clinic read more

I have attended Mostyn H ouse Dental practice for four years. the manager Mathew runs the practice to a very high standard, The practice has now moved to new premises 3, Deganwy Avenue very modern with excellent patient information on the importance of oral hygene. Searching for an NHS dentist in Llandudno area, I was directed to this site. The welcome is for NHS quality dentistry in particular. On ringing, and asking if they were still taking NHS patients, I was told, very abruptly, NO, they are NOT! Obviously the web site needs attention, as does the manner of the receptionist. read more

What can I say I have just phoned this clinic as a NHS patient explaining my pain is excruciating and that I have had now 3 emergency fillings that lasted at the longest 3 hours and one did not even last out of the door. Explaining this to who ever it was in the reception and they said they had no appointments on NHS but happy to take me today and pay private, funny that. I phoned in December the earliest appointment is May, again phoned to see if can get me in earlier, they again said no. Happy to make appointment for today being March 24th and pay private. Asked that they have a duty of care they explained they do care only if I pay private but not on the NHS, again funny that if I/we are lining their pockets directly they are happy to care otherwise wait over 5 months to be seen and in the mean time have many sleepless nights in pain and take medication like there is no tomorrow to try reduce the pain. Finally after a discussion that the person/persons where extremely rude to me when asked who their governing body is they quickly put the phone down on me, hanging up on me. What great service our national insurance money is paying for these sort of companies should not exist and if inspected by their governing body they would quickly be seen to not meeting any of their codes of conduct and hopefully be struck of the register and their ability to earn extra NHS hard working pay would be taken away. There receptionist have no people skills and understanding pain is not in there skill base just typing and filling out paper work seems to be all they can pretend to do. read more
