The rooms are not clean. The tv and shower did not work. Cold shower only. Tub clogged. Staff not available or rude. Big dogs running freely in the parking lot. Some guy tried to get in my room at 1am because the clerk rented it to him. He came pounding on the door accusing me of not paying. He came back later to ask to come in again and to apologize. In the morning the cleaning lady yelled at me for complaining about the smell of the room. I left when the sun came up. Scary place, strange clientele. I have to be honest, I have lived in seven different states and Oregon twice so I've stayed in a lot of hotelsand motels. This motel by far is the cleanest and one of the best I've ever stayed at anywhere I've lived. The staff is more than helpful and will bend over backwards for you. I can't say anything better about this place it's fantastic and I've stayed at this one so many times I can't count. Plus you can smoke in the rooms. Always an added bonus since you can't smoke anywhere anymore. One of the best, if your going to stay anywhere in the Portland Metro, I would give this motel a 10 in every aspect. When the system is wrong, no good staff can save it. Cash deposit and they have to check before we check out before 11am and no late check out. Only one person has to do all this back and forth to make people wait. Also no shampoo and no tooth brush due to cost saving. Wi-Fi password dolors not seem to work also. Room is ok, clean enough. Night shift guy is ok but does not seem smart enough to make any decision. Anyways, if you are looking for a place to sleep, then just wake up and leave. we've stayed here 2 times. the first time wasn't great. the second time everyone was very nice, however on our first night there there was another guest who was using the laundry room and was banging doors and running or stomping down the hall for the entire evening. we were near the front desk which means we knew reception could hear them as well. there were signs on the doors that said "please don't slam the doors, be considerate of other guests but not only were they not told to stop they clearly didn't care about the signs. it's a shame because we do think reception is nice but next time we will be looking at a vrbo, read more

Looking for a place near a friend's house for just one night. We had the dog with us so we needed a pet friendly motel. Motel 6 seemed like it could work. As a somewhat frequent Yelper I should have known to look for reviews before making a choice. It was late, we were tired, and we just went for it. First red flag-$60 cash deposit required, to be refunded at checkout after a brief inspection of the room. Second red flag-the key card for the room doesn't work. They had to let us into the room. Third red flag-bare bones room, had to ask for towels, no mirror in the bathroom. But...the dog was welcome and we were pooped so, OK. We'll stay here. The king size platform bed was comfy. The AC worked. No coffee in the room. No fridge. No microwave. Also, no shower safety mat, no safety rails in tub/shower. Overall not bad, not great. Would I stay here again. Nope!! read more

Do NOT!! stay here. They deliberately lie to potential customers about whether there is a $100 security deposit in cash by not mentioning it on oblige travel sites, once you get there it is too late to go elsewhere. Per check in person, they have known about this problem for at least a month, probably much more. You need to have an inspection before they release the deposit to you. Absolutely terrible people cold showers. The rooms smell like smoke all the time there are burn holes in the bed sheets mold in the showers. The floors are not even they require a $60 deposit and it's $115 and they've been getting bad reviews since 2020 and nothing has been fixed since then! I travel to the Portland area every other month to see my son (he's almost 3 ) until I can find employment in Oregon. I usually stay at different hotels depending on the deal I can get, as in these times, each trip is roughly $500-$1000 dollars. This time I stayed at Motel 6 in Beaverton and the room was easily the worst I have stayed in. I have enclosed pictures of the room, but as far as what I notices. 1. Fridge was completely frosted. 2. Lock on back of cypher lock door was broken off 3. Bathroom door didn't close 4. Hair in the tub 5. The tub faucet was broken and streamed all night 6. The tub could use a serious cleaning and refurbish 7. The comforter was stained and pretty nasty 8. The pillows were worse than the Navy pillows I dealt with while active duty for 12 years 9. The toilet was missing parts and tons of buildup 10. Paint was chipped off the tub 11. No TV remote 12. No coffee in room or lounge. Something small but I figured there would be something. I didn't call the desk to get help or move as I was shocked I was even put in the room. I simply just dealt with it, as I just wanted to see my boy. Unfortunately, the room was not fit for him, so I had to see him at his moms house and outside of the Motel 6 area. I also have a question about the bill. I booked using Southwest and was supposed to be charged $330.14. When looking at my credit card statement, I was charged 2 separate payments. One was $88.39 and another was $253.69 totaling $342.08. Please explain that as I would like to hear why I was upcharged. Terrible experience here. We had just left the Motel 6 in Troutdale where we had no issues. They let my husband, my two year old son and I stay in a room with a queen bed with no problems. The next day we go to check in at the Motel 6 in Beaverton, the person working tells me they cannot find our reservation made through Expedia. Ok; no problem, I have not paid yet anyways. I asked if they had the room we booked available (1 king size) he says yes, but we can't have that room since our son is with us, the only room he can give us is a smoking room with two beds. Obviously I'm not staying in a smoking room with my son. So while my husband is on the phone trying to find us a place to stay for the night I am walking around with my son, he's been in the car for awhile so he needs to get out for a stretch. The man working the desk comes out and asks me what we're doing, I tell him we're just walking around while we find somewhere better to stay since he can't figure it out. He then proceeds to tell me we can't do that and we need to get off the property right now. What a joke. I know Motel 6 is a shit hole, but I have never experienced something like this. Best part was when we walked by a room with a man going inside and saw there were 6 women in there. Maybe he should be more concerned with the crackheads bringing prostitutes into the rooms instead of a family of three sharing one bed. The power outlet at the table did not work 2. I like walking around in my socks but my socks, after just a couple hours on that wood floor were black. I had to wear my shoes all around my motel room. I was made to feel like a fool, even though I was lied to by the manager herself, and so I didn't know whether I could trust who I heard on the phone, or not. Turned out to be the manager and because I stood up for myself (because she lied to me). She completely lost it swore at me and said I didn't ever have to come back implying I'm permanently not allowed to book there for even questioning her "holiness". Very unprofessional, and classless from a manager. Motel 6 expectations are generally low, but walking into a bathroom with a pee-stained toilet, nothing in the room save a single chair and a bed, scuffed Pergo flooring, and the room at 90 degrees when the door is opened (mid-June), coupled with a nasty, skanky woman at the front desk who had the audacity to be angry when I called her office phone so I could check in (after waiting in the lobby for quite a bit of time at 11:45 at night.... The door lock didn't work properly, and the poor overweight, skanky woman had to trundle her wide tush up the stairs to unlock the door for us. "Just kick it in a bit" says she. This is motel hell. If it wasn't midnight, we'd have found something else. What a sh**thole. Danger Will Robinson!!! Get a lice check after sleeping here. Bedbugs couldn't survive this dump. At a price of 75.00 a night, it's wallet-rape (before bitching about the use of the word, look it up in the dictionary; it's more than a sexual term). Not a single print/painting/art of any kind to be found. Not a stick of furniture save a bed and a chair. No end tables, no nightlights, no bedlamps, NOTHING. The personnel door to the next room had a huge hole in it from someone "kicking it in a bit" (I assume). Choose a concrete pad under a train bridge. You'll be just as safe, pay less, and likely have a lesser chance of catching a life-threatening disease. The one good review this place has MUST have come from a hooker getting free rooms. There are plenty of hookers around here, and this does meet the grade for "room by the hour." The building behind the main building had a curtain half-hung in the Upon checking out, the manager was angry that I'd even brought these issues to her attention, and she was angry that I felt 75.00 a night was far, far to much to have paid so much. She literally screamed at me that "I have been managing this place a long time and I do a very good job!!." Ms. Patel, please review your Yelp ratings; it suggests that as a manager of your hotel, you are far from 'doing a good job.' Having stayed in more than a couple motel 6 in my lifetime...this is a new low. Note the photos of the disgusting commode, the not-complete lock, the cracked, smelly sink with hair in it, and the constantly running tub faucet. Urine in the toilet is something that *might* be forgivably missed by the housekeeper; nothing else about the room is "temporary." Holy yikes. This hotel was a gross, creepy, regretful decision. The clientele was what you'd expect just a short drive from Portland, not exactly reassuring. Rooms were decently sized at best, paint peeling on the walls of the bathroom, some flies hanging around the shower. The WiFi is alright, but I would never use it for anything personal. Our mattress was filled with holes, the blankets were filled with holes, the whole place smelled like cigarettes and rotting milk despite having a non-smoking room. We found a couple of dead bugs in the top sheet. Super gross. Even if the bugs and stink weren't enough, our air condition unit couldn't cool down the room to save its life. We struggled with a hot, nasty, bug-ridden room for a night. I can not dissuade you from going here enough. It was probably the worst hotel experience I've ever had. UGH. Stopped here ONLY because I was tired and couldn't find any other hotel in the area at the time. Husband got key to upstairs bedroom. On the way to the room, three frat boys informed us there was a party in their room that night. Whopee. Fortunately, we wouldn't have had to far to walk as it was located three doors down. Goody. The people next to our room felt, I don't know, stuffy in their room - so they had the door propped wide open. Wife was in bed, I had time to note on passing by. Is this typical of Oregon, I wondered...? Front desk told husband that he would need to "jiggle the key in the lock. Everyone comes back thinking it is broken, but you just need to jiggle it." Okay. A test. After "jiggling" both sides and upside down - after five minutes of still being unable to occupy the room, (I also had time to notate another couple 5 rooms down doing the same "jiggle dance" in trying to open the door), we decided this must be a sign to take our business elsewhere. If I could give this hotel negative stars I would. Worst decision of my life, me and my girlfriend stayed here one night due to the convenance to the max lines. We were hardly in the room so didn't mind the lack of microwave or anything. 2 days later I get a charge on my card for $150 for a broken TV. I called to discuss this as we hadn't even tried turning the tv on. The manager was not only incredibly rude she said her basis for charging us was the guests from the previous night claimed it worked and that she had pictures of it on and working before we checked in. Upon asking for her to send me said evidence she got irate and told me that me and my fiancé were banned from the grounds and if I called again she would be calling the police department for harassment. Needless to say this will be a disputed charge. HORRIBLE management, awful rooms with paper thin walls. If this wasn't such a convenient location, it would surely close down. I usually stay at Motel 6 because of their pet policy. This location is literally right next door to the transit center. You will be hearing train and bus noise. It is in desperate need of renovation. It looks outdated and tired. It was unusually warm, so turning on the air was needed. Well, the unit didn't function properly. The temperature knob was stripped and only allowed one stream of cool air, not cold. I only stayed a second night because I was so tired. DO NOT STAY HERE! We drove up from San Francisco to a friend's baby shower in Portland and this was one of the only hotels left at a reasonable price. When we went to check in, the front desk assistant just gave us a key, and didn't tell us where our room was. No big deal, but a little unusual. When we went up to our room, a huge blast of hot, smoky air poured out of the room. We're not smokers, but have stayed in many smoking rooms and have NEVER smelled a room like this. We were in there for 5 minutes and our eyes burned, our throats hurt, and my wife's hair already stunk of cigarettes. We had driven up from San Francisco, so this was at 1:30am, over 12 hours since this room had supposedly been checked out of. There is no way the room should have smelled like this! It was as if someone had hotboxed the room moments before we went in. We called down to the front desk and asked if we could switch rooms, but were informed that there was no other rooms available. I told her that we wouldn't be able to stay in that room and she said we would not get our money back because she could've sold the room "20 times that day." In the nearly 10 years my wife and I have been together, we've never had to leave a hotel, including numerous Motel 6's, but it was physically impossible for us to say in the room, so we left at 2:00am after driving for 14 hours and found another hotel. It's been over a week and they still refuse to give us our money back. We're now dealing with corporate, who are in the process of starting a refund and said there was no reason we shouldn't get our money back, but the Beaverton Motel 6 is refusing to put the refund through on their end! DIRTY, SMELLY, and soooo sketchy at night. On top of that, the workers, including Smital, are some of the rudest employees you will ever meet in your life. I Would give no stars if i could the place is a joke and the staff useless. I booked online from out of state i rushed and did not read reviews and that was a mistake. My reciept said check in at 1 oclock they made me wait untill 3 oclock and even then the room was not ready. On entering the room i was disgusted. We stayed here for two nights during a snow storm and multi day black out. They were one of the only motel 6s in the area that had power and open rooms. They were very unprepared to have a full house. They had only one maid on staff for most of the day. I arrived about two hours after people are supposed to be able to check in. The room was not ready, even though we called beforehand and had reservations and were told that they needed more time for the room. We had arrived after the agreed upon time. We still had to wait in the car for about two hours for the room to get turned around. The office was supposed to call us when they were ready, but they forgot. I had to call them again, which was difficult because the workers are almost never in the office so it is almost impossible to actually connect. Our room was dirty. Our feet were black from walking barefoot. I stepped on glass that was by the bed. They took our used towels, stating they would give us clean ones once the laundry was done. They never gave us more towels. Employees were yelling in the parking lot multiple times during our stay. And then the owner's daughter showed up for her shift on our last morning there. This became relevant because an hour before check out time my boyfriend walked the dog so it could use the dog area. Between our room and the dog area he peed on a bush. The owner's daughter screamed at my boyfriend about the dog not using the dog area. Boyfriend tries to explain that he is on his way to the dog area. Owner's daughter continues to scream, telling him to yank the dog. Boyfriend yelled back. Both people yelled back and fourth for a little bit (I was in the room thinking it was employees again or other guests having a disagreement.) Boy friend bangs on the room door. I am getting dressed so I am standing behind the door to let him in the lady continues to follow him to the door attempting to push her way in, still yelling. She did leave when boyfriend told her I was not dressed, but it is still very unreasonable. Lady yelled that she was calling the police and that we had to leave. The lady did say that I was allowed to stay till 11, but my boyfriend had to leave the premises. I strongly suspect that she makes her living taking advantage of homeless people and drug addicts, accepting money for the night and then having them removed by police if they react badly to being screamed at by a rando. The worst hotel (motel) that I have EVER stayed at!! My stay was 3 horrible days! The day I checked in, the staff, looked stressed and were running to clean the rooms themselves!! Taking constant smoke breaks. When they told me my room was ready, it really wasn't, I had no towels at all and I could tell my sheets were stained and dirty. The refrigerator was filthy and had a baggie of ice and looked to have grass in it. The drapes had food stains on them ! When I had asked for towels, I got only 2 bath towels, no hand towels or wash cloths. When I took a shower, I noticed it could only be turned to cold or Luke warm.. the knob on the faucet kept coming off. With all this, I chose to be quiet and not say anything to management BUT.. the next day when I asked for more towels, they told me I had to leave the towels out my door and they would replace them!! They did but 2 bath towels again not any hand towels nor wash cloths. The last day of my stay, I again asked for towels, I walked up to the office and no one was there but a child on a computer , it was the manager's daughter.. the manager was outside and yelled to me, What do you need, really rudely. I asked her for more towels and she got my used towels and said she was going to charge me because I had stained her other towels because of my makeup and if I wanted towels she would give me rags to use (this was what she said) she said my heavy makeup ruined her towels!! I have stayed in numerous hotels thru my life and have never been told this!! Not only was she rude about it, but said it loud outside with the other guests around!! Very unprofessional. This was by far the worst motel I ever stayed. Roaches were in the bed and when. I asked for another room reluctantly the hatefilled HIGH staff moved me and then there were live roaches in that bed. I let management know and I was told if I kept complaining they would throw me out. The entire staff is lazy and hateful. All too busy on cell phones instead of cleaning the dirty place. We have never stayed in a "theme hotel", so we were excited to discover that Motel 6, Beaverton, has a "Murder Hostel" theme! The managers at this location have gone to a lot of effort to create the right feel: the door to our room was crafted in a way to sag to the point that the deadbolt doesn't work. And the safety lock is a funny gag lock that is bolted to a loose strip of split wood than separates from the frame when you apply even minimal pressure. The shower head has a fun, prison style "shower head" which creates the effect of being hosed down with a garden hose. The towels, sheets and bedspreads are carefully hand painted with strange stains and small holes are cut out to indicate smoke holes. TIP: Because this is a unique location, a "reservation for a non-smoking room with a queen Sized Bed" and "having a room" are different options: make sure and specify that you want the actual room and not just a reservation. We called to confirm our reservation through Priceline, but as "newbies" to this experience, we didn't specify we actually wanted a room. Fortunately, we beat the last guest to the hotel, and they gave us that persons room, in what sounds like a fun game of musical chairs! read more

We went to check in at 3:20 and were told we had to wait because it was change of shift and the relief person was on their way. This is the worst and dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. I can't belive this place passes any sort of inspection. I honestly do not know how they have not been shut down. There is mold in the shower, and the toilet was not cleaned properly. Also, I was about 3 inches taller than the shower head, making it very difficult to wash my hair. What can I say, if you looking for a cheap stay, convienient access to 217, Beaverton Transit Center, and don't mind the cockroaches, this place is okay. My updated 2 bed non-smoking room was spacious. Mattress' are laying on black wood board, both my wife and I had a hard time sleeping. I did kill 4 cockroaches in my 3 night stay, however I don't think my wife noticed them. I fear if she had, the cockroaches and shady clientele would have resulted in us changing hotels. However, my swift and silent roach killing skills, the lowest price in town, pet friendly, convienient location, and spacious room with refrigerator and microwave made the stay bearable. read more
