Looking for a place near a friend's house for just one night. We had the dog with us so we needed a pet friendly motel. Motel 6 seemed like it could work. As a somewhat frequent Yelper I should have known to look for reviews before making a choice. It was late, we were tired, and we just went for it. First red flag-$60 cash deposit required, to be refunded at checkout after a brief inspection of the room. Second red flag-the key card for the room doesn't work. They had to let us into the room. Third red flag-bare bones room, had to ask for towels, no mirror in the bathroom. But...the dog was welcome and we were pooped so, OK. We'll stay here. The king size platform bed was comfy. The AC worked. No coffee in the room. No fridge. No microwave. Also, no shower safety mat, no safety rails in tub/shower. Overall not bad, not great. Would I stay here again. Nope!!

    Burn hole

Absolutely terrible people cold showers. The rooms smell like smoke all the time there are burn holes in the bed sheets mold in the showers. The floors are not even they require a $60 deposit and it's $115 and they've been getting bad reviews since 2020 and nothing has been fixed since then! PLEASE TURN AND RUN !!!! couldn't shower for three days because there was no hot water and they told me there was no vacancy to switch my room out. Could hear people everywhere walking and arguing, thin walls! ONLY STAY HERE IF YOU HAVE NO WERE ELSE ASK FOR ROOM 113 that's one with hot water

Things growing on the shower faucet, that is falling apart...

Don't stay here guys. The staff are cool, the passer by's I met were nice, but that was it. Below is a letter I sent to Motel 6 Corporate, as even though the price is cheaper, it's not worth it EVER... I even sent pictures of this horrific joint to corporate. It would have been more acceptable if they just left the chalk body line on the floor. Good evening Motel 6, I wanted to let you know about my recent stay. The staff you have there are excellent. I travel to the Portland area every other month to see my son (he's almost 3 ) until I can find employment in Oregon. I usually stay at different hotels depending on the deal I can get, as in these times, each trip is roughly $500-$1000 dollars. This time I stayed at Motel 6 in Beaverton and the room was easily the worst I have stayed in. I have enclosed pictures of the room, but as far as what I notices. 1. Fridge was completely frosted. 2. Lock on back of cypher lock door was broken off 3. Bathroom door didn't close 4. Hair in the tub 5. The tub faucet was broken and streamed all night 6. The tub could use a serious cleaning and refurbish 7. The comforter was stained and pretty nasty 8. The pillows were worse than the Navy pillows I dealt with while active duty for 12 years 9. The toilet was missing parts and tons of buildup 10. Paint was chipped off the tub 11. No TV remote 12. No coffee in room or lounge. Something small but I figured there would be something. I didn't call the desk to get help or move as I was shocked I was even put in the room. I simply just dealt with it, as I just wanted to see my boy. Unfortunately, the room was not fit for him, so I had to see him at his moms house and outside of the Motel 6 area. I also have a question about the bill. I booked using Southwest and was supposed to be charged $330.14. When looking at my credit card statement, I was charged 2 separate payments. One was $88.39 and another was $253.69 totaling $342.08. Please explain that as I would like to hear why I was upcharged. I would appreciate some sort of feedback or help on this please, and I would also like the $11.94 returned to my credit card for sure.

Constantly running bathroom tap, muck and slime in the folded/ripped bathmat, hair in the drain.

Motel 6? More like Motel 2. Motel 6 expectations are generally low, but walking into a bathroom with a pee-stained toilet, nothing in the room save a single chair and a bed, scuffed Pergo flooring, and the room at 90 degrees when the door is opened (mid-June), coupled with a nasty, skanky woman at the front desk who had the audacity to be angry when I called her office phone so I could check in (after waiting in the lobby for quite a bit of time at 11:45 at night.... The door lock didn't work properly, and the poor overweight, skanky woman had to trundle her wide tush up the stairs to unlock the door for us. "Just kick it in a bit" says she. This is motel hell. If it wasn't midnight, we'd have found something else. What a sh**thole. Danger Will Robinson!!! Get a lice check after sleeping here. Bedbugs couldn't survive this dump. At a price of 75.00 a night, it's wallet-rape (before bitching about the use of the word, look it up in the dictionary; it's more than a sexual term). Not a single print/painting/art of any kind to be found. Not a stick of furniture save a bed and a chair. No end tables, no nightlights, no bedlamps, NOTHING. The personnel door to the next room had a huge hole in it from someone "kicking it in a bit" (I assume). Choose a concrete pad under a train bridge. You'll be just as safe, pay less, and likely have a lesser chance of catching a life-threatening disease. The one good review this place has MUST have come from a hooker getting free rooms. There are plenty of hookers around here, and this does meet the grade for "room by the hour." The building behind the main building had a curtain half-hung in the Upon checking out, the manager was angry that I'd even brought these issues to her attention, and she was angry that I felt 75.00 a night was far, far to much to have paid so much. She literally screamed at me that "I have been managing this place a long time and I do a very good job!!." Ms. Patel, please review your Yelp ratings; it suggests that as a manager of your hotel, you are far from 'doing a good job.' Having stayed in more than a couple motel 6 in my lifetime...this is a new low. Note the photos of the disgusting commode, the not-complete lock, the cracked, smelly sink with hair in it, and the constantly running tub faucet. Urine in the toilet is something that *might* be forgivably missed by the housekeeper; nothing else about the room is "temporary." It's been like that for years, based on the breaks, cracks, leaks, and stench.

This hotel needs torn down and rebuilt. The handle to my sink came loose while turning it on and fell through the sink. The toilet is tilted side ways. Just spend the extra money and stay somewhere else, you'll thank me. If you do stay there there is a great taco truck out front I'd eat there. Great food

I felt bad for him because he had a full hotel, and a lot of things going on, but he was alone and had no help. During the check in process, he mentioned we had booked a double-king room. I was surprised, but figured maybe I made a mistake by booking the double king. Upon checking my confirmation email from a couple weeks ago, sure enough, I booked a one king courtyard. I mentioned it to the gentlemen who checked me in, and he explained they had been over-booked for a while now, and someone must have moved the room type to make the accommodation happen. He referred to the double king as an "upgrade". I proceeded to check the Best Western app, and showed him how the hotel was showing almost all room types still being available. I worked in the hotel industry for a long time, so I knew instantly how this was a middle to upper management issue. What bothers me is someone saw a long time Best Western rewards member incoming, and they HAVE to switch the room, but don't have the decency to send a quick email, or even make a phone call to let the guest know prior to arrival? We ended up checking into a double-king courtyard room, 137, and it was anything but that. The balcony was first floor and opened up to a covered cave-like alcove with a view of a dripping wet concrete retaining wall. One door down from us was piled up cleaning equipment. The room looked nice though! On check in the guy had mentioned having another room if we didn't like that view, 203. I walked back and the nice man got us into 203 instead. This view was MUCH better. The room looked great, modern and spacious, but it had a peculiar wet odor. The bathroom was nice too, but the housecleaner forgot to refill the conditioner, and the hand soap was knocked off the wall and sitting on the shelf. There was an odd maybe thirty-year-old ADA shower chair placed in the bathroom too with a wash towel neatly placed over its seat. Also, some of the furniture in the room was in need of a good wipe down. The best part of this hotel is the grounds. The large fountain, and the greenery around it is so beautiful. Please do whatever you can to preserve this! Also, the lobby is very nice and comfortable. They're clearly taking steps to revive this old property, and they seem to be heading in the right direction. I'm concerned with the overall management of this hotel, specifically upper management. In their list of attributes, I wonder where they realistically place hospitality. The place is definitely in the process of being renovated, but I feel like management could have more control over the other issues mentioned above.

The only negatives are the $17 parking fee, for parking on their unsecured lot each day, and that we were not advised that the maid service was only every other day. The "tipping just got easier"placard clearly visible on the coffee table in our room was quite ironic, as we had to call for towels when we returned to our room last evening and it took over half an hour and two phone calls to receive them. Staff are friendly. Breakfast buffet is extensive and includes everything from cold cereal to a made-to-order omelettes. There's also a restaurant on site that offers an upscale menu. Hotel itself is clean and comfortable, with the main courtyard on the first floor open to the rooms rising up several stories. Happy hour and some breakfast busy times can be a little noisy as we were on the second floor, but it wasn't anything that was unbearable. In addition, there's a mall nearby and a Target store across the street if you need to pick up other snacks or maybe something you forgot to pack. All in all, a comfortable stay and we would stay here again when in the area.
