Considering the location and the season in June, everyone is booking in this area if visiting Yellowstone Park. The price is unexpensive, and this place is neat and clean. The room and the beds are small - that does affect me much but I would like more space. - Free parking: yes - Free WiFi: no - Breakfast: no - Swimming pool: yes

    Sleek hotel room. Comfy bed.

I like what Motel 6 has done. They've upped their game. Very modern. Sleek design in rooms. No carpet. Built in booth seat with desk and mid century Danish chair. Flat screen tv. Pop-modern towel racks. Honestly, great. Laundry on premise, which was great for my 7th day on the road. Great pool.

    Nasty dirty light switches

Alex, the daytime attendant, really went out of her way to accommodate us because of a REALLY noisy room. She moved us no problem. And Dot, the late afternoon attendant, made sure we had HOT chocolate chip cookies. Overall, our 6 or 7th stay here was all we could ask for. You'll love it too.

It was renovated in 2025 and the overall property gives the appearance of being brand new. Our room was on the larger side for a Home2 and enjoyably spacious. Kudos for actually putting large, metal hooks in the bathroom to hang toiletry bags, something so many hotels just ignore. The hotel is located in an area that is quiet and has lots of parks and green spaces. Everything that you expect from a Home2 is here just cleaner, newer, and modernized. Unfortunately, room prices were ridiculous and what keeps me from giving this property 5/5 stars. We paid $1,050 for four nights which is way too much for a Home2 located in Idaho Falls. Instead of luggage carts they offer those miserable and worthless three-wheeled luggage trolleys that just dump your belongings onto the ground and require twice as many trips to empty your vehicle. The plugs on the bedside tables were so loose that our cables just kept falling out, and our charging bricks didn't stand a chance. You need to be gymnast to flush the toilet while sitting on it as the mechanism is on top of the tank lid directly behind you. Overall, this is an amazing Home2 Suites that is so overpriced I would consider staying elsewhere.

Luckily there was one ADA room left. We were able to get all of our laundry done. There were 2 stackables. It was about $4 to wash and dry a load of laundry. Bring quarters. The shower was a beautiful walk-in, rock-tiled shower which my mom really enjoyed. There was ample space in the restroom area. The room was spacious and clean. My mom was able to navigate easily. We had 2 queen beds which served us perfectly. Walking along the river to the many various options for dinner was a treat. We ate at the Mexican food restaurant at the corner. That place was busy. Bar seating is not self serve. The enchiladas suiza and margaritas were fantastic. We were treated to custom omelettes the following morning. Other than the omelettes, it was the typical breakfast found at all the hotels. Great value. It was worth it to pay a bit more due to its location and amenities.

I suspect that a great many of these reviews are fake--fake bots, fake accounts, or fake reviews…read morewritten by friends and family. Basic hallmarks--overly-glowing and weirdly specific reviews, often the "writer" has no or few other reviews, and they seem to pop up right after a negative review. I stayed here the evening of July 3rd. The only positives that I can (honestly) list are that the property is reasonably quiet, and that no one bothered our (packed) car during the evening. I also noted that the shower water pressure was very good. Now onto the negatives: Starting off strong: we were informed at check in that check out was at 9AM. The woman at the front desk vaguely explained that due to the Independence Day holiday, their hotel was full and they needed to prepare the rooms for new guests. She literally shrugged when it was pointed out to her that our email confirmation states that the checkout is at 11am. I watched as she explained the same thing (with the same affect) to other guests who had already paid, and I watched her receive guest reactions similar to ours. As we approached the door, we had been warned that there are "issues" with all of their new key card locks. We had to jiggle the handle up, down, then up again a few more times to finally get the door open. Once it was open... The room was musty. Most everything was old, and there was an automatic air freshener that sprayed out sickeningly sweet mist. The carpet was stained, the sheet had a hole in it, the 2 pillows on the queen-sized bed were flat, the pillowcases had very large bleach stains, and the coffee maker was sitting atop an old foldable tv tray. The actual ceiling light was very dim, but and the window shades were very old and thin, so lights from the parking lot shone into the room all night, making it hard to sleep. The room also wasn't very clean--the very old bathroom had someone else's hair on the walls of the shower, and one of the washcloths was stained. On the way out, we discovered that we were double-charged for the single night. We were assured that it was a pending charge that would likely clear up (similar to a damage deposit)--but surprise, surprise, both of the charges hit our account after the holiday weekend, and we had to call them to get a refund. If it hadn't been a holiday weekend, we would have left immediately. As it stood, we woke up sore and groggy from a poor night's sleep at a pretty worn down and badly maintained hotel. I would not be surprised to see this truthful review buried by a couple of new "reviews" raving about an "amazing smelling, beautifully lit and spotless oasis with the beds made for royalty." The positive reviews are fake.

The lobby is modern and clean and even lightly decorated for Halloween. The pool and hot tub are open 24 hours. The staff are all friendly. The cons.. The first person to shower had to use body wash for her hair because the very large bottle of shampoo that is provided in the shower was completely empty. We were able to have an employee up to our room about 10 minutes after the request who brought a bee bottle and replaced the empty one. The beds themselves were comfy. In fact that is why I booked the Hampton because they always have very comfortable beds. However, unfortunately our room seemed to have been skipped for clean sheets on both beds. One of our beds had a large amount of crumbs in at as well as what appeared to be dog hair. Very short, coarse dark hair all over the fitted sheet. My granddaughters bed also had a ton of crumbs and some disgusting chunks of something that looked similar to boogers and bloody boogers. We were in town to visit our adult children and grandchildren and by the time I realized this it was after midnight and we were too tired to take things up with the staff. Thankfully we brought our own blankets and pillows and laid on the top of all the covers. The top covers appeared cleaned and we got a good night's rest. It's disappointing that the Hampton in is employing people that have such standards as to skip one of the most important steps of the room cleaning process. We will most likely stay in a Hampton in the future but never in Idaho Falls again.
