It feels like I'm home to be watching TV and pause to fix a snack in the kitchen. Sink and counter are outside the bathroom in a dressing area with a large closet for hanging/storing things. Included breakfast buffet had fresh cut fruit salad, other fruit options, two waffle makers, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal, cereals, etc. Plenty of space to spread out and lots of clean tables. Decent sized pool, large hot tub, adequate fitness room. This has been a great place to stay.

A five minute pleasant and informative booking with a pleasant and communicative person- no frustration involved.

The lobby is modern and clean and even lightly decorated for Halloween. The pool and hot tub are open 24 hours. The staff are all friendly. The cons.. The first person to shower had to use body wash for her hair because the very large bottle of shampoo that is provided in the shower was completely empty. We were able to have an employee up to our room about 10 minutes after the request who brought a bee bottle and replaced the empty one. The beds themselves were comfy. In fact that is why I booked the Hampton because they always have very comfortable beds. However, unfortunately our room seemed to have been skipped for clean sheets on both beds. One of our beds had a large amount of crumbs in at as well as what appeared to be dog hair. Very short, coarse dark hair all over the fitted sheet. My granddaughters bed also had a ton of crumbs and some disgusting chunks of something that looked similar to boogers and bloody boogers. We were in town to visit our adult children and grandchildren and by the time I realized this it was after midnight and we were too tired to take things up with the staff. Thankfully we brought our own blankets and pillows and laid on the top of all the covers. The top covers appeared cleaned and we got a good night's rest. It's disappointing that the Hampton in is employing people that have such standards as to skip one of the most important steps of the room cleaning process. We will most likely stay in a Hampton in the future but never in Idaho Falls again.

I came back through in peak season and was bummed to find it sold out, but not surprised! I'll definitely keep looking for availability here whenever I'm passing through Idaho Falls. Because there are full kitchenettes there is NOT much of a breakfast selection, but you're in town so go support a local restaurant. They have a custom coffee maker thing but there's only one and it doesn't do large cups, so to fill my 20oz yeti travel mug I had to do it twice. NOT efficient for a hotel full of people who want coffee. This machine is an IHG trend and is replacing in-room coffee makers which I am NOT A FAN of - they're creating a false bottleneck, probably trying to break people of the habit of expecting free coffee.

The reception area had lots of snacks and I found a locally produced beef jerky which tasted marvelous. Everyone at the reception desk was friendly, welcoming, kind, and excellent at what they were doing. I highly recommend this hotel if you are going to be staying in the Idaho Falls/Ammon area.

We asked for extra blankets, no problem. There is parking toward the back for trailers, RV's and other rigs. Denny's is across the street. Denny's was clean. THE ONLY ISSUES: WiFi wasn't working (a common issue it seems at this BW) You have to come get your extra blankets because they are short staffed (as is every hotel since Covid). There are ZERO SIGNS on I-15 in either direction for the fact that the hotel even EXISTS. No one at the Front Desk knows which Exit to take off of I-15 to get to their hotel. (That should be taught on the first day of training for the front desk job for when someone calls while driving.) BTW, it's EXIT 119. Then take Exit 307 from there to Lindsay Blvd. The Front Desk personnel in general are very SLOW at what they do. There is only ONE entry/exit to their parking lot. They only have ONE elevator, and it is ANCIENT and needs to be replaced before someone gets stuck in it. ONE THING MOST OF THESE ISSUES HAVE IN COMMON IS THAT MANAGEMENT DOESN'T SEEM TO REALIZE THAT BY NOT ADDRESSING THESE SPECIFIC ISSUES, THEY ARE LOSING MAJOR REVENUE.
