I was beyond overwhelmed and he was so helpful and made the entire process simple! The rooms were clean- we aren't talking 5 star resort, but you can tell they take pride in what they do and it was comfortable and clean. My kid graduated and they were very accommodating and with last minute add of a room. I travel a lot for work and customer service is key! I also had a great experience with Chad on the phone, who was also very helpful and patient! I again recommend this hotel!

About 10 minutes later I received a text from the front desk manager Sabrina. I was able to pick up what I needed from the front desk. The oatmeal with almonds looked great but not my choice this morning. Spacious dining area. Friendly kitchen staff ready to assist. There is also a Wendy's in a safe walking distance day or night. Thanks Sabrina Nicole four showing great leadership in your Inn. It shows through the staff. Keep up the good work.

The rooms are bright, spacious and equipped with everything you could need for a long stay. Bed was SO comfy! There is plenty of parking. The newly updated patio is perfect in the warm weather, with well maintained grill. Gym has everything you need and I didn't look at the pool, basketball court, or game room, but did see a good handful of families utilizing them. Lobby has an open and welcoming ambiance with a handful of tv's and fresh coffee 24/7. My favorite thing about this hotel was the staff. Justin, the manager, is absolutely phenomenal at what he does. From learning names, greeting everyone as they walk through the door every day, to finding answers to questions you might have, putting a game on a tv, or going above and beyond to fulfill requests, without ever making you feel like you were bothering. The cleaning staff kept rooms impeccably clean, re-stocked, and worked very quickly and quietly, always greeting with a smile and hello in passing. By the end of my work trip- I was almost sad to be leaving because I know not all hotels function like this. Highly recommend staying here!

I had to call the airline and demand they put my son and I in a room for the light to figure things out for our flight back to California. This was in August. Of course the only options for hotels that United was willing to pay for were all 20 miles away (what about the Hilton across the street). Anyway, we stayed here the night so I had a bed for my son to sleep and food for him at the continental breakfast they had that morning. The usb ports in the room didn't work and water pressure was low but other than that it was all you'd expect from a holiday in , and less, not more. Room was clean but continental breakfast was lacking. It was enough to not have to figure out where to find food in the area before having to leave the next morning to the airport 20 miles away

Staff doesn't care. Why would he? He's got his AirPods in, and probably doesn't get paid enough to care. He himself offers no solutions. He claimed he told them to be more quiet, but... he did not, so we went to another hotel. Editing to add that there were a bunch of teens in the pool screaming at 9pm, you could hear it down the halls. Since my child was one of them, I told them they were really loud and to not be so loud. Apparently this front desk guy, with his AirPods in so again, he didn't care, went and told them it was fine to scream. And I know this because my child was with them, and no, guy, I didn't swear at them. Wild way to run a business, Holiday Inn.

The room had a television cabinet, easy chair, table, and chairs. Since we were in a kitchenette, we also had a big fridge with freezer, countertop stove, microwave, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. The bathroom and dressing area are spacious and well designed. The rate was $135 with no taxes or fees. staff: Front desk staff were great. Our key cards were ready when we arrived. Because of a snowstorm on the morning we left, the front desk offered ice scrapers to dig out our vehicles. common spaces: There are tables and chairs in the lobby for use at breakfast. Appears there is coffee round-the-clock. food and beverage: No bar or restaurant and only a handful of places in North Chicago, but Lake Bluff and Lake Forest are nearby with tons of options. The complimentary breakfast is just fine. Bonus points for the Navy's logo appearing in the center of the waffle press! other: The lodge has a large vending area with ice and filtered water. Check-in was quick and friendly; staff were warm and helpful from start to finish. They keep things professional without losing that personal touch. Big appreciation for the shuttle driver. I didn't catch his name. We booked the 7:00 AM shuttle and rolled up to the gate 8 at 7:09. By 7:13, we were seated inside the venue. Meanwhile, we passed a line of cars at least 100 plus deep--easily an hour + wait, maybe more. If you're attending graduation: don't drive. Seriously, you'll regret it. The shuttle is reliable, fast, and way less stressful. The rooms were neat and functional. Pillows were firm, which we appreciate. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and clean, with solid Wi-Fi. It's quiet, pet-friendly, and perfect if you're bringing a four-legged sidekick. Continental breakfast is basic. Boiled eggs, package slices of bread, bagels and fruit,. Basically, grab-and-go items to start your morning, but don't expect a full spread. Still, it's convenient for early starts.

The hotel was pricey for how basic it is but I guess that is what they cost in the area. Overall, it was a good stay.

First visit back in March 2024 was a pleasant one, so decided to try it out again at this hotel after finding a reservation with very good rates a month ahead of time. When checking in at the front desk at 2:40 PM on Wednesday, 8/21/24, was greeted right away by the employees. I received excellent service for my reservation booking and even got complimentary bottles of water along with some information regarding the Navy Boot Camp. The packet contained important timings and directions for the graduation ceremony as well as places nearby to eat at and visit. In addition, requesting for extra bath towels, body lotion, and some toothpaste were met with care and in a timely manner from our hotel room. Requesting for toiletries and bath items from Housekeeping when they came by to clean the room was met with great expectations! Amenities around the hotel and restaurants, retail stores nearby was a plus, as they were walkable and very accessible! We really enjoyed our stay once again! Good service. Parking spaces are kind of narrow, though. If there are inconsiderate people who park outside the lines and are too lazy to fix their cars, it is hard to find a nice space to park correctly in.

Very calming and peaceful which also matched the decor. The entire building is up to date and designed very well. The designs make you feel like 'yeah, this is going to be a nice getaway.' Haha! The staff was very kind, helpful and friendly. They explained the layout of the hotel, where the gym was at and answered all the questions I had. They did a great job of welcoming us and making us feel at home. We like sleeping with low temps and thankfully their AC was able to handle our need of 67 degrees. We slept very well. This place has a top notch standard of cleanliness. Everything was spotless and smelled very good. The rooms look recently updated and they are stunning. I really love the design of them with the blue art pieces, so peaceful and beautiful. The bathrooms are bright and spacious, also stacked with soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The room I had was good to work from, and I loved being right across from the fitness center. Not only did that remind me to get my workout in, they have an ice cold, clean water machine in there that I visited frequently to fill up my water bottles. The bed was very comfortable and the blackout shades truly blackout every ounce of light which is nice. If I could change anything, it would be to add some coffee in the lobby as I exhausted my little Keurig machine trying to wake up each morning. The lobby is a tad small too, so not exactly a place I'd hang out to work from. One more thing this hotel has going for it, based on my quick search, is that there really aren't that many nicer hotels around, so this is a bit of an oasis for business travel in the area. Would definitely recommend!
