For a 1 night stay, this place wasn't too bad but I wouldn't have stayed here if it was more than a night. The staff is incredibly rude and not one that we encountered was friendly/nice. The room was okay, I like that there was a whole kitchen area and living room separated from the bedroom. The kitchen has a whole fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher so I was surprised to see that when walking in bc usually hotels only have a mini fridge and that's about it. There was 2 TVs one in the bedroom and one out in the living room which was nice. The bathroom is very outdated. The bed was pretty comfy and they had black out shades which I appreciate. read more

Do not stay here! This place needs major cleaning and new staff, ASAP. As soon as you walk into the hotel, you smell the odor of a wet dog. I don't know why. I thought maybe it was just our room, but no. The whole hallway smelled musty and like animal urine. It might have something to do with them allowing pets to stay in the hotel. Another thing that happened as soon as we stepped into our room was that the air conditioner's cover broke off. We went to set the temp and boom, it just fell. We intended to notify the front desk in the morning, but the experience of the rest of our stay made us realize that nothing would really be done about it. We asked for a first floor room and they gave us one with a roll in shower, meaning that there is nothing separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom. The whole floor gets wet and guess what? Yes, you got that right! The whole bathroom ALSO smelled like wet dog (or dog urine, take your pick), from the start of our stay till the end. It made the rest of the room reek as well. Staff and house keeping was pretty much nonexistent. They advertise that light house keeping will be done every day, i.e. they'll clean bathrooms, change garbage etc., none of which was done for us. After house keeping was a no show, I called the front desk three times and requested that they please send someone. We were out of towels and the bathroom smelled god awful. We had already settled in with all our stuff, so we didn't ask for a new room. I figured a good cleaning would make the bathroom smell go away, but house keeping never showed up. After my third call, they finally sent someone and all she did was bring new towels. I had to ask her to clean up the rest of the bathroom and change garbage bags, which was embarrassing. I shouldn't have to ask, they're supposed to do that without being requested! No other hotel that I have stayed at ever gave us this issue. This place may be cheap but it's not worth it for any price! read more

Do yourself a favor, spend little more $$ and stay somewhere else!!!! If ZERO star is possible, that would be the grade for this place. ( 4 days of nightmare stay) The experience started with very unpleasant and rude front desk female when we checked in. Whom apparently "CANNOT" give more than 1 extra blanket for a suite with a queen size bed and a full size sofa bed. God forbid we ask for few more towels.... Don't even try to take a shower-- the water pressure is so low, it felt as thou I was getting pissed on rather than taking a shower, thus name the shower "R Kelly" PLUS--- NO HOUSE KEEPING ON THE WEEKENDS!!! YOUR ROOM WILL NOT GET CLEANED, NO CLEAN BED SHEETS, NO CLEAN TOWELS!!!! Ummm, isn't weekend when most people travel and stay in hotels? ALSO PLUS--- if you ask for a recipe, they promise to email it-- AND NEVER DO!!!! I guess you get what you pay for with this place. It's was only $70 a night... and this place really lives up to the VERY LOW STANDARDS that came with the price tag. Spent a night here last night.. Does not deserve the rating on priceline/other hotel sites First, gave me a key to a room that was already occupied. Thankfully guest was not in the room when i opened the door Only one vending machine in the building and it was out of order. I had drive to a gas station Room was not vacuumed properly. There were bunch of raisins in the living room. My dog found and ate few. (Grapes are bad for dog!!!) I've been very pleased with this hotel for both short term and long term stays. When the renovations are complete this hotel will be outstanding. They offer all the usuals but laundry and good internet ate both free. The fitness center is nice and all of the staff have been outstanding. I will continue to use this establishment. read more

So I thought this would be a nice place to stay since I was on vacation and it's a Wyndham hotel. I got home from my trip late last night. This morning and all day today, I realized that I am very itchy. (I have pics to show a rash). I realized huh, this is probably from my room because NO ONE CLEANED IT FOR 5 DAYS! We were not told by the front desk that the rooms aren't cleaned on weekends. I was a little upset since I paid a lot of money for the room. On Friday morning, we left to explore, came back late Friday night to a dirty room, the phone not working and me going to the front desk. Mind you it's not almost midnight and all I want to do is go to bed. So the lady at the front desk was very nice and gave me clean sheets and clean towels. Fast forward to sat and Sunday. After speaking with the front desk staff about our room not being cleaned, we come back from wherever, late again, to a garbage bag full of clean towels and sheets explaining in a hand written note that if we want the bed made to let them know by 3:30pm that day! I was appalled. When I confronted one of the ladies in house keeping Monday morning, she was mortified to know about the sheets and towels thrown by our door. Needless to say, I will be contacting management and getting a refund because I was disgusted read more

From the outside the hotel appears very nice and inviting. The staff is friendly and helpful. The layout of the hallways could best be described as a maze. The one elevator we saw was slow and small. The room also appeared nice and had lots of wide open spaces. This was explained by the handrails all over the bathroom and the peephole waist high on the door. The room was specifically designed to accommodate wheelchairs. The torture begins when you turn off the lights and try to sleep. First of all there is a security light outside the window (we were on the 3rd floor) so no matter what you did with the curtains it still looked like morning in the rooms. Then there was the bed. It was too small. It barely accomodateac 2 people. The springs pushed through the cushions so it felt like you were laying on uneven concrete blocks under a blanket. Between the bed and the light sleep was hard to come by and we both got up in the morning feeling like someone had beat us with a club all night long. Then came the free breakfast. Not very tasty and a bit on the skimpy side. On a personal note, why serve salty flavored bagels if all you provide to put on them is strawberry flavored cream cheese? All in all the hotel does not deserve it's 3 star rating. read more

I stayed at the Hawthorne Suites in Hoffman Estates for a little over a month in 2014. This hotel is outstanding. The entire staff is wonderful. The rooms are very clean and well organized and everyone who works here aims to please. It is very quiet and the breakfast in the morning is the greatest. I will be back and I recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling to the Chicago area. read more

This hotel ROCKS!!! Not only was it in a GREAT location, it also had a kitchenette, flat screen TV and free breakfast every morning. I was able to go grocery shopping in the area using the hotel shuttle (which will take you anywhere within 5 miles of the hotel), plug my computer into the TV for free entertainment AND the WI-Fi was included as well. I can't say enough about this place. And, I had the studio sized room with a queen bed which comfortably fit myself and my 6'7" boyfriend. The granite counter tops, updated hardware, beautiful tile and furniture in the bathroom were incredible too! I absolutely LOVED this hotel and hope to find more like it in the Wyndham family. read more

Word of warning...do not select a 3-star in Hoffman Estates, IL on Priceline, or this is the hotel you will get. TINY, uncomfortable, noisy (squeaky) bed, probably just a full-size (not even a queen) crammed into a tiny space--so tiny there was only 1 nightstand. TINY television, almost unwatchable from the bed. Breakfast loaded with people and packed into a very small space. It was depleted of everything when we arrived to eat, and nobody was resupplying it, so we had to go out and pay for breakfast. At least the HUGE gap all around the entry door made a nightlight and a wake-up call unnecessary! Maybe 1- or 2-stars AT BEST...definitely NOT a 3-star hotel. We'd have been better off sleeping in the car. read more

My 2nd week here for my daughter & me. Staff still are extremely helpful, accommodating, and say hi when they see you. Breakfasts every morning & manager's receptions on Tues & Weds evenings are also very generous. I saw manager Fran checking the facility & staff a few times this week (to include Sunday) and asking clientele if they were enjoying their stay and if there was anything else they could do to make their stay better. Maybe I've just had considerate neighbors, but rooms appear to have better sound insulation than some hotels at which I've stayed. Appliances are pretty quiet when running and don't interrupt sleep. Used the outdoor grills for a couple of steaks last week. Everything works flawlessly and has been kept clean. read more

Stayed here 4/15 with my wife and we felt unsafe right away. We got this room for a little getaway to go to Cheesecake Factory and Woodfield mall since we do live an hour away. The room was NOT clean. The bed sheets were NOT changed. There was hair on the sheets and some dirty stains on the towels they leave in the bathroom. We found the cards that say when the last time the room was cleaned and we found out it was 4/10. Gross!!! The toilet paper was almost gone when we got there and there were no other extra rolls. On our way out to cheesecake for dinner, 2 cop cars parked and made their way in. Again, we felt unsafe!! Just don't stay here!!!! read more

Nicole was super friendly she checked us in. The room was clean with a stocked kitchenette. The bed was so comfortable and fresh I didn't want to leave. The breakfast in the morning was a little lacking it had eggs bacon bread bagels english muffins make your own waffles yogurt juice milk tea coffee apples muffins oatmeal . Only reason i say lacking is because I called a week before the person on phone said hash browns omlets 2 types of meat. So I was expecting more hot foods. But we got full. Also check out is 12 which is 1hr later then other hotels but they would not allow any later even though it was a Sunday. Will go again. No pool though. read more

This was quite a find! For $80, this was one of the best if not THE best room I've ever stayed in and that includes $500 a night in NYC. The room was spacious, very clean, very comfortable. We had a refrigerator, stove top, microwave & dishwasher. Dishes, silverware etc. It was like staying in a mini apartment. There was a fitness center, big room with multiple washers & dryers, free hot breakfast that was outstanding! I can't wait for a reason to go back, truly a wonderful experience all around. read more

I had to leave this hotel early before my scheduled date because of their highly unsatisfactory services. The top reason is the evening shuttle service from office pick up which got worse day by day. Driver didn't come for a pick up (had to take a cab back to the hotel) and the guys at the reception were clueless about his whereabouts. Seemed to have no control over the notorious evening driver. I have never seen such disappointingly irresponsible, the most uncooperative lot. Other than this, you might get lucky to sleep along with the flies in the room. They never changed the bed sheets after requesting at the front desk as well. In short, this was my last stay here. Feels horrified by recalling my stay in here. read more

Rhonda the manager treated me like crap on several occasions even as minuscule as when asking to exchange towels I have no idea why she is the manager unless the job entails being as rude and mean as you can to your customers. Loved every other part and person of this hotel. I actually originally left a five star review after my first stay here Unfortunately due to her they get a one star. If you choose to stay here stay at shaumburg location instead or avoid Rhonda if you'd like to keep a smile on your face. This review is based on several interactions not just one. My first time at this property because I had a discount from Hotels.com and glad I came here. The hospitality is awesome. Jen the GM went out of her way for us on some tea and I mean a variety. She also cooked up the dinner tonight. The hotel serves a different meal 3 nights per week (Tue through Thurs). Nice area with tons of places to eat as well. Well the hotel is nice Sharon staff is good what I don't like is it's how the hotel staff likes to secretly talk about guests at staying here behind their back they Mumble judgemental not all not everybody but a lot of them are very devious and ex every so you got to be careful who you talk to and what you say some of them are very nice and some of them are hypicrits. But I think Fran being sales manager is very awesome same with the manager Ryan very good people the lady that works at night at the night desk very awesome honest life very Godly life maintenance you have to be very careful about can act like your friend then behind your back he is ur enemy just so he can move up in rankings. All hose keepers are awesome except the house keeping manager...likes to talk behind others back and go behind others to find out personal information which is bad. Front desk people great. So overall good clean hotel great food and management, just certain staff is not great. They make you feel uncomfortable. They call it extended stay but they really don't want you here that long. I just feel that they need to understand that no one is better than any one we all have problems and when you make it uncomfortable for others makes stress levels higher. read more

Save your money and stay somewhere else. I stayed here for 3 days, I was so glad to leave. The room they had me in was nice and clean, however, the tub kept backing up with a very bad smell and black discharge. The guest above my room was noisy as hell, when I asked to be moved, the less than energetic front desk girl said "sorry we are full", yet the cleaning staff I spoke to the next morning said they were not even close to capacity!! The front desk girl over night would only say, a-ha I hear you sir, then just dismiss me. Seriously, the money I'm spending there pays your salary, wanna check your dumb attitude please. Then when I checked out, the gentleman (and i use the word gentleman loosely, since gentle was not in the mans personality) at the front desk said he could not give me a receipt because I booked through Expedia. It seemed like I offended him just by even asking for a receipt. Now I did book through Expedia, however, I paid at the hotel directly. Expedia did not charge my credit card, the hotel did. When I explained that too him he raised his voice and really aggressively said "I cannot get you a receipt". Seriously, if you lack the intelligence to have a civilized conversation with a customer, than maybe a change in career is in order! This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. i don't know where these people stayed that are giving it good reviews but it must have been someplace else. This place is a hole. It's a dump. It's someplace I wouldn't stay again at any price. The carpeting in the halls was dirty - as in covered in brown stains with grass all over from the first floor to the third. The room was dirty. The sheets were dirty and had some weird discoloration. The bathroom was gross. The TV was too small for the room and got very few channels. The air didn't work. (It stayed at 78 degrees no matter what I set it on.) There was one chair and no foot stool and this was supposed to be a suite. There was no mirror outside the bathroom. The kitchen was poorly stocked. There was one pillow when I walked in and one towel. The food served was horrible, under supplied and nuked. And to top it off the fire alarm - one of the loudest I have ever heard - went off at midnight because some smart ass kid decided to prank everyone and make us all go stand in the parking lot. That's all I got. I actually kept notes on all the crappy things so I could write this without forgetting a single crappy thing. Never, ever stay here. read more
