    Room #210 the worst room
    Karan V.

I am in room #210. We checked in around 8 pm exhausted with all the move from Iowa to Illinois. To an almost new hotel with a good location but a terrible terrible customer service. We checked in the person was absolutely not interested to welcome us. I said I am the member of Hyatt group and member discount didn't work, the rate was not acknowledged even after showing her my member number. Which is still ok when you just need a good room with the basics included at least an air conditioner. Called in at the front desk waited for her response to have air conditioning issue fixed and her comment was I am alone at the desk can't do anything as it is late. The hotel is brand new they have to learn how to manage customers. Extremely pissed. Will be even posting this review since I can't sleep in such a boiler. Terrible start our journey in Illinois.

    Beautiful lobby

Brand new hotel in the suburbs that opened earlier this year (first hotel built in Lake Forest in 90 years or something). Lobby is very mid-century modern and really pretty for a Hyatt Place (AHEM Hyatt Place Schaumburg). Unlike most Hyatt Places, there is no complimentary breakfast here, because they have a full-service restaurant. Rooms are typical of all the new Hyatt Places recently built. Clean and modern, wood floors. Rooms have both fridge and coffee maker (if you dare use it. You can just go downstairs for complimentary coffee in the lobby). My only thing with Hyatt Places is that I wish they would provide a thicker blanket. What is provided with all these new Hyatt Places is literally like a bedsheet and a thin blanket that would be good for the summer, but definitely not for the winter. If you run cold like me, bring some warm PJs. With my Explorist status I received 2 free bottles of water daily, which I was able to just grab from the grab-n-go area next to the front desk. It's Aquafina. Location is right off the highway, so I would recommend staying here if you need to be in the north Chicago burbs, if only because it's a new hotel and everything is still new and shiny.

Susie is an amazing bartender. Super friendly and an amazing mixologist. This is my favorite hotel bar to drink at.

The bed was very comfortable and the blackout shades truly blackout every ounce of light which is nice.

The room had a television cabinet, easy chair, table, and chairs. Since we were in a kitchenette, we also had a big fridge with freezer, countertop stove, microwave, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. The bathroom and dressing area are spacious and well designed. The rate was $135 with no taxes or fees. staff: Front desk staff were great. Our key cards were ready when we arrived. Because of a snowstorm on the morning we left, the front desk offered ice scrapers to dig out our vehicles. common spaces: There are tables and chairs in the lobby for use at breakfast. Appears there is coffee round-the-clock. food and beverage: No bar or restaurant and only a handful of places in North Chicago, but Lake Bluff and Lake Forest are nearby with tons of options. The complimentary breakfast is just fine. Bonus points for the Navy's logo appearing in the center of the waffle press! other: The lodge has a large vending area with ice and filtered water. Plenty of surface parking right outside.

Check-in was quick and friendly; staff were warm and helpful from start to finish. They keep things professional without losing that personal touch. Big appreciation for the shuttle driver. I didn't catch his name. We booked the 7:00 AM shuttle and rolled up to the gate 8 at 7:09. By 7:13, we were seated inside the venue. Meanwhile, we passed a line of cars at least 100 plus deep--easily an hour + wait, maybe more. If you're attending graduation: don't drive. Seriously, you'll regret it. The shuttle is reliable, fast, and way less stressful. The rooms were neat and functional. Pillows were firm, which we appreciate. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and clean, with solid Wi-Fi. It's quiet, pet-friendly, and perfect if you're bringing a four-legged sidekick. Continental breakfast is basic. Boiled eggs, package slices of bread, bagels and fruit,. Basically, grab-and-go items to start your morning, but don't expect a full spread. Still, it's convenient for early starts.

I was thrilled to keep that alive by purchasing these tickets for him on Father's Day, and seeing a preview show added a unique layer to the experience since the cast and crew were still gathering audience feedback and making final tweaks ahead of their grand opening, meaning we didn't receive a standard playbill. Having visited this venue for many years, I was a bit surprised to notice a musty smell as soon as we walked inside for the first time ever, but that minor detail faded quickly once we settled into our great seats. The performance itself was fantastic, even with a brief interruption caused by a quick sound glitch that was handled swiftly and didn't last long at all. This place holds so much nostalgia for us, and between the wonderful production and our enduring tradition, I will always recommend coming here and we will definitely continue to return year after year.

Always helped when asked and answered all questions. was able to loan an induction hot plate so I could make one-pan meals. Pan included was very small so more for eggs than full meals for two. Rooms showed some wear but no major defects. Water pressure was okay but not strong. Tv dark balance was off and remote did not allow for adjustment. TVs were 4k sets and fairly large though. Beds were a bit firm but clean. Was a rough night rest the first night but a 30 dollar mattress topper really helped. Just think of it as an unseen add-on for the stay. Not hard, but needed some cushion. Internet speed was reasonable and only disconnected once or twice a day. Worked well enough for the occasional team meeting or call. Pool was heated but not hot. Still a little chilly but if you swam a little it was easy to shake the chill. Gym was small but functional. Some dumbbells one cable machine and 5 cardio machines. Breakfast was very basic. Egg circles, breakfast breads, a couple protein options and a waffle station. Not great but good enough to get you going. It's not a bad hotel by any stretch of the imagination. It's functional and works for the average traveler. There's some maintaining that could be done, and some accommodations could be better, but if you're in the state for work it will do.
