Stayed here on a Monday night as a pit stop on a road trip. While the price was decent, "you get what you pay for". Trouble started when discovering the lock becoming separated from the door. I felt unsafe. I could hear voices both through the wall and outside-as if somebody was speaking right next to me. I noticed a gap between the door and the door frame. (See photos.) A window air unit let's the temp be set but it is so loud and blows onto the bed, another thing contributing to my being awake through the night. The bathroom area was not clean. One hair that is not your own is one hair too many. There were two bars of soap provided for toiletries and the just right amount of towels. As it was a "drive until you can't drive anymore" day, I knew I would look to Yelp to help me find a motel/hotel. Normally I have a destination planned and use Airbnb and if I were to do this again I would use Airbnb. Five more minutes of cleaning including running a Swiffer over all the floors is a must, along with other investments for the safety and security of customers! read more

I was hesitant to stay here but I didnt want to pay $130 a night at the other hotels for 6 hours sleep so we decided to stay here. Nice clean room---the bed is rather firm. Pillows are good. The employees have a little garden growing beside the 2 buildings. Nice employees, they dont wake you up. Secure, good area. read more

We stayed here on a another cross country drive with our pup and had no complaints. Like others have said - it's a good deal - about $55 and I could used my corporate perks to earn points too. Check-in was a breeze even at 10pm. The room doors are all exterior facing and the parking lots are well lit as long as you parked in front of the building. Since we asked for a pet friendly room they gave us one on the first floor which was great. The room was clean and looked newly redone in modern decor. The AC worked great - cooled off quickly and kept the room comfortable all night. Had a thermostat set so it kicked on and off during the night to adjust. Room had a frig and microwave, and a mounted flat screen. There were also enough outlets to recharge all my electronics. Ice machine was on second level in breezeway but it worked fine. Bed and pillows were really comfortable - after being in a car for 14+ hours it was great to stretch out and get some good sleep. The queen was a good size for my hubby and I. Shower pressure was ok and the tub looked new and clean with what appeared to be granite like slats instead of your standard plastic insert. I had expected some noise since a few reviews on hotels.com said the walls were thin. When I first got in I could hear a faint sound of the TV next door but after we turned ours on it wasn't an issue. I didn't hear anything else for the rest of the night even after we turned off the TV. The towels were a bit rough and no toiletries besides a couple bars of soap but I had my own so not a problem for me. Overall it was a good wayside stay on our way to somewhere else. If you're looking for a no frills place to rest while you travel I recommend it. read more

Never have I had a hotel experience like this. I felt unsafe just dealing with the staff. Stopped on a x-country road trip, for a booked reservation. The clerk immediately started arguing over practically nothing. Every question was met with a yell, and "I don't have time for this." She asked for the card used to book the room, and immediately charged a $50 cleaning fee. I refused to sign, since she never asked me if I wanted to make an additional charge to my card. She told me that I didn't matter if I signed because she'd already run the charge. This is patently illegal. She called the manager, apparently her husband, who is a literal piece of vile trash, and who also apparently is her parter in extorting customers. After their behavior-- yelling, cursing, and being verbally abusive -- there was no way that we were going to stay there, so we just asked for our money back. That's when he told us that there were no refunds. We called the police to report it, only to find out that the clerk had actually already called to report us two "violent" septuagenarians! Three traveling families walked out after hearing what we were going through, but that didn't phase the Hateful Two at all. In fact, there were no cars parked in the lot. Patel, the manager, even followed us out hurling expletives! Anyway, we drove across the street to the Drury, where we were finally able to relax and make calls to file reports with the card company and Motel 6. Despite Motel 6's apologies and pledges that this was a one-off thing, we're avoiding them for the rest of our trip. read more

Surrounded by great places to eat. I'm giving 3-stars because there was no hot water to take a shower before bed after being on the road all day long. They did allow my dog to stay the night and there was plenty of room for the dog to go walk and use the bathroom. The beds were okay. The rooms were clean. The room had a fridge and microwave. The neighbors appeared to might have been living there. They were loud and disrespectful until they fell asleep. However, I was there to rest, shower and get back on the road. For what I paid, I can barely complain. I'd give 4-stars if it had hot water at night and the guests were quieter. read more

For the price - you can't beat it. $55 per night. Free wifi worked great. Room was remodeled - it was fine for the price. Bed was comfy, place was ok- clean. Not the best but not the worse. This motel wasn't fancy but it was clean. It had recently been renovated. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was definitely worth the price we paid. The shower was great. I am tall and a lot of motel shower heads are too short for me but with this one I could have been 6 inches taller and still had no problems. The only problem was that if you wanted hot water you had to turn it toward the cold side. read more

The tub is filthy. I left 10 bucks with a request to please scrub the tub but it's still nasty. Instead housekeeping dropped a wet washcloth into my clothes and left it there And the towels were not replaced. Had to go get them from the girl who was folding clean ones while smoking a cigarette. The TV which is ancient standard def doesn't get loud enough to hear above the air conditioner. And the fridge froze all my food. I will say the bed was comfortable, after I took off the super ugly bedspread with cigarette burns on it. I've never left a bad review but this was just the pits. read more

I stopped here after a 12-13 hour drive from NC. I still had and 4-5 hours to go. They were pet friendly so I was able to bring my Australian Shepherd in with me as well. Rooms were cleaner than I thought they would be. Bed was pretty comfortable. I took an 8 hour nap and a shower before I got back on the road. Good experience overall. It only cost me $60 for the day. My 18 year old daughter was driving alone across country and I made the mistake of booking a room for her online at the motel 6 website. When she arrived at hotel she was told she would not be given room because it was booked on a credit card that was not her name. I called hotel and told them she is my daughter and to please check her in. At that time I was told I would be required to fax a 3rd party release form. I then told hotel to forget it I will just get her a room someplace else. At that time I was told by hotel that my charge card would still be charged for night! You won't let daughter in room but you are going to charge me? Yes was their response. I had daughter pay cash for room, and have written complaints to both hotel and cooperate motel 6. I asked if this was cooperate policy and was told some hotels require this.. Some hotels? I suspect this is motel 6 method of racial profiling. Stopped here after 13 hours on the road with an 11 year old and a Great Dane. The staff was wonderful, courteous and helpful. The room was clean, the shower worked just fine, it was quiet and we got the rest we needed to make it another 12 hours on the road. For the price, this is a great option if you're just looking for a place to rest while passing through. It's not the Taj Mahal, but it's nice enough. Fair warning, however-do NOT stop at Hardee's on the way out! (That's another review for another time) The room looked to have been recently renovated and it was clean. I'm giving it five stars--considering I spent eight weeks staying there, you would think I would be sick of it (I recently moved from Phoenix and was waiting to close on a house). Knowing that I would be there for quite some time, I was given the "monthly rate" which helped me out financially. With that, your maid service is limited to twice a week. Every person who works there ALWAYS said hello and was always very pleasant. The first day my air conditioner broke and within 30 minutes I HAD A BRAND NEW UNIT installed. After being turned away from another motel at midnight, my son and I went to Motel 6. The night clerk was very friendly and had no problem giving us a room. We checked in again the next night and the clerk made certain we had the same room. The room was above the rooms that were being renovated so we had no downstairs neighbors to complain about my son jumping around at 2 A.M. Motel 6 is very Autism friendly and I'm grateful they didn't turn us away. read more
