Needed to stay one night to attend an early am event in Payson while also helping to transport equipment, so looked at several hotels in the area and decided on Motel 6. The photos of the rooms were updated and the mix reviews had me leaning towards the positive so I booked ahead of time. Service at the front desk was friendly and welcoming and took very little time. When I arrived in the room, I realized the window was cracked in the front and bathroom so I quickly closed and turned on the AC so I could be comfortable. Wifi, TV, and the location were the pro's for the spacious King Bed room I had. I was able to park directly out front of my room and everything felt secure. Bed was comfortable and I like that sink was not in the shower area. Shower was clean and the hot water was hot To make the stay better, they do need to updated and provide better towels. The ones I had on hand were on there last leg & should be used for cleaning rags. Bed Linnings were clean, but the top cover could of been better as I noticed some staining was on it. Not cool. The only other issue I had was that the bed was literally next to the window and AC unit. If running the unit and 2 people are in the bed, someone is gonna freeze as it blows directly on the bed or if redirected, blows the curtains up for people to see inside. Thankfully, I just wedged a pillow under the sheets to deflect. I can see why some may have wanted to give it zero stars, but based on my experience and what I've come to expect from hotels like this... "I get it". read more

I don't book o line anymore because Albuquerque was such a hell hole. I went to 3 different ones and then ended up just driving. I felt safer sleeping in my vehicle at a rest stop. The owner was very pleasant and patient. She waited for me to book on line. This was the cleanest, well maintained and nicest Motel 6 that I've stayed I drove from California to Ohio ended up buying a house. So I went back to California, packed everything that was Sentimental into my Van. Got rid of everything else. Now I'm on my drive back to Ohio. Maps has taken me a different routes. So trying to remember where I stayed each trip was difficult. Plus I actually slept in my Van a couple places on the first round trip. I told her I needed to go get ice next door at Circle K for my ice chests in the car. Most do not like you to get ice for your ice chest. But she told me they had ice and where the Machine was. I'm handicapped and she originally was going to pit me on the ground floor by the office. I asked her if you could smoke outside the room. She said she would change my room to the opposite side building. They had benches and I also saw some ashtrays sitting on air conditioner. (I don't smoke inside my own house or car. Grabbed this place at the last minute because wasn't sure if we wanted to drive home after the concert. Because this is such a small town mot many places to stay and there are 2 concerts here this weekend at the casino. Because of that rates were jacked up. I glanced at pics on site and thought ok not bad to sleep in. I checked in and right away saw the grounds said it all. I asked where the breakfast would be and he said "there isn't one." I said you charge $200 a night for a Motel 6 and you don't even have continental? He said," it's event weekend. Everyone is charging that or more." I said super 8 was $165 but I missed the last room. So opened the door and just what I expected. No water pressure, no closet, no dresser (you have shelves). Bare bones. I forgot my blow dryer and asked for one and he said "come get it." Had booked our stay here for a little over a week to visit with family over Thanksgiving. Immediately walking in the room there was a stale musty odor in the air. Was a very basic room. Unwelcome and uncomfortable feeling. I decided to take a closer look and this is what I found. I booked this in advance for a smoking room through choice hotel. However when I arrived I was informed I can get a non smoking room for same price. I don't mind smoking outside if need be if I book a non smoking room but this is annoying but I digress. The part that Does get here is that wouldn't a non smoking room be cheaper usually is but whatever. Now as for the room. I will grant that it was very spacious and dig the big bathtub which I'll get to later but as for the separate sink from bathroom which was very spacious as was the bed area. The bad part was the tv would constantly shut down after 2 hours which got very friendly as for the remote wasn't too friendly with the tv either. So it would shut down and you have to do the wait game to start watching again. The major problem of this room was that it was on the corner of the property and it had far too many windows for one room. I counted two on either side of door, two down other wall leading to sink and one on opposite wall closest to sink. Worse is that there was a two inch gap between curtain and window at end giving a vantage point. This means anyone walking by can see your naked visiting self when they walk by. An additional issue I had was that hotel policy is not to put coffee pots in rooms. They do offer coffee in the office at 8 am until it is gone and then that's done That's ridiculous I can solve this problem easily. You buy 2 glass pots for every room on your property. Someone comes in you let them use that pot. Next visitor gets other pot while housekeeping takes pot to washer. Rinse repeat! So why don't I have coffee pot in my room???? I did love the very spacious tub they had and the step they had getting in was nice. I must say though getting out that very step can be hazardous especially if your wet getting out. Spent the night in Room 117, July 4, 2023. Towels were stained, and a ragged towel hanging over the tub for use. I took them back, and she gave me more stained towels, LOL. Could not win. There was a wooden step up to the tub that was put together sloppily with glue. A step made of wood for a tub and shower?? The blanket on the bed was tattered and had burn holes in it, LOL. We checked in on 7/5 since this was the ONLY hotel open when we were on our way back to Phoenix and just wanted a bed to sleep in from camping and being in the heat. Walked in and immediately felt just dirty. The bed sheet had stains all over it, pillows had stains, the night stands on the side of the bed fell down if you put a drink on them. The bed was on a thin bed frame and any move felt like you might break the frame and fall. They do not supply shampoo or conditioner but yet 1 measly little bar of soap, 2 towels, stained up walls and a wiggly shower handle that you have to "slowly" pull or else. We went to dinner and came back and noticed someone was in our room as many other reviews stated. Around 7:30-8pm all of the rooms except the first 4 and the office lost power. The owner and office manager did absolutely NOTHING to try and restore the power in 97 degree weather. When we went into the front office to get an update on when the power would be restored they said "ITS NOT MY PROBLEM, if you want to leave then you can go." ITS NOT YOUR PROBLEM THAT THE POWER WENT OUT IN YOUR PROPERTY AND YOU LIED TO EVERY OTHER INDIVIDUAL SAYING THE BLOCK WAS WITHOUT POWER BUT THE CIRCLE K STILL HAD POWER AND THE FIRST 4 ROOMS HAD POWER BUT ITS NOT YOUR PROBLEM!?!? We checked out immediately. I asked for a refund and the owner said "no, you checked in .. it's your problem, we don't give refunds". I said I would like a receipt with the date of check in and out, he gives me a receipt with the next day as a check out even though we weren't staying and then told me again it wasn't his problem. So the wife and I drove up-late Saturday night from Phoenix... got here about 830 checked in and showered refreshed went to the casino for dinner came back to the hotel around 11 15 ( paying $200 u would think you could have clean towels and toilet paper in the room especially when u pay that amount just for a bed (witch was just a sponge on a frame) we got back from dinner went to ask for extra towels bc when we arrived the floor towel was soaked from the people b4 us .. Let's make a list of all the unplanned attractions going on in the room. -It was a great guessing game trying to figure out if more water was coming out of the shower head or being sprayed back into the wall. -Testing our fate with the electrical gods while plugging in chargers to an outlet that probably has never seen sight of any actual mounting equipment such as screws. -Learning what color the remote was after using multiple wipes was super fun and exciting. -My all time favorite was a great surprise just before leaving (I'm so glad that I didn't rush out and miss it!). Discovering exact what had been crawling on my leg the night before on the sheets was a blast. I would say you pay for what you get but this place is terribly overpriced for what you get. $143 a night plus an additional $35 to check in before 3 pm. This is not somewhere where I would feel comfortable leaving valuables if I were to leave the room. We took everything expensive with us when we went out to dinner. None of the channels work on the tv due to poor connection. The walls are super thin. So is the mattress. And even though check out is at 11, they start calling you at 1030 nonstop until you leave. The first thing I noticed was the stained sheets, and I assumed that they were dirty, but surprisingly they smelled clean. Watch out when you pull up to the drive way if your car is not lifted, the pavement is very uneven. We needed a hotel at the last minute and checked rates before deciding to go to Motel 6. First it was advertised as $79/night, but we were charged $100+/night not including taxes. We tried to lock our door but the lock literally fell off the door. There was no coffee at all and not even a coffee cup if you wanted to heat your own coffee. Couldn't figure out the TV or it just didn't work. No shampoo and the building is just gross - looks like a cement fortress in a back alley. I used think I could count on Motel 6 as a low cost reliable, low frills option, but this was ridiculous. Only redeeming value was it was clean. My husband and I needed a last minute place to stay during a camping trip that got rained out and checked in here late at night. The room that was advertised online was suddenly no longer available and the only one we could have was $30 more. Upon its initial appearance this place looked clean, safe and had a courteous staff. Unfortunately it wasn't until after we checked in that we realized that our room was in the "other building". We encountered a prostitute on our way to park our vehicle and then several drugged up people on the walk to our room. When we first entered our room it appeared clean however once I got in the shower I noticed what looked like blood on the shower curtain, a hole punched in the back of the bathroom door, several smashed bugs on the ceiling and wall. It was gross. We needed to get at least a couple hours of sleep before getting back on the road so we decided to tough it out. When we climbed in bed I immediately felt something on my back between the fitted sheet and mattress cover. I turned on the light and there was a pill in the bed! At this point we decided to pack up and got to the office to check out. We had only been there a little over an hour and couldn't imagine staying any longer. On our way to put our belongings in our truck, we found that it had been broken into! Within an hour! In their main parking lot! We went to the office and initially they offered to put us in a different room. We declined stating that we did not feel safe here and then the manager starting asking us questions and insinuated that we were making it up even after we showed him pictures and told him where to find the pill of God know what. Eventually the manager refunded us HALF of $107.00 for only having been there about an hour and the ONLY reason that I accepted was because we wanted out of that nightmare ASAP. I tried to cancel my reservation, but was told I had to do it online. However, when I tried to cancel online, it did not work initially. After begging them for help on getting the reservation canceled, I finally had to hang up on them. On Monday of that week I called and talked to the owner him self and cancelled the room for Friday. My wife checked us in and the owners wife again said ' two nights' , my wife said no one and she said ok. The next week my wife finds out we got charged for the two nights, for the past week I have been on the phone with the Motel and the customer service line with Motel 6 who have been really helpful. I have been told that the owner had cancelled my Friday night properly but some strange reason my room rate doubled. They called the motel and were told that $150 is their normal room rate on Saturdays !!!! Liar Liar !!! Friends of ours got charged the 74.99 for Saturday. So the owner told the service rep that he offered us a 10% discount . Wow. I just got off the phone with the Motel 6 customer care line and was told that the owner of this dump has sent in a $35 credit to my bank ! Air conditioning in one of my rooms sounded like a lawn mower. The other room's bathroom door didn't close, entry for got stuck and about 9:00 a.m. an Indian guy who identified himself as housekeeping knocked and then barged into my room. She said he checked my parking spot first yet my car was there. We booked a King Bed room through Bookings.com for a quoted price $68.81 including tax. When we got there they wanted to charge something like $75. I had to insist ... and insist... on the quoted rate. The manager finally agreed but gave us a Queen room which I accepted just to end the unpleasant discussion. I was going to let this go until I saw a couple of other reviews with a similar issue. The blankets and towels are dingy, the drapes let way too much outside light into the room, significant road noise is present, otherwise, it's a Motel 6. This was the worst experience ever due to how I was treated. I stayed on a Wednesday night 7/27/22; because I didn't want to continue driving in the bad weather as it was raining non-stop. I literally picked the first hotel off the main highway. The male staff (might be the owner) was very rude when I checked in. Later that night my cell phone fell between the mounted headboard and the wall and slid underneath the bed which does not have access to underneath it because it is like a large box that is closed up. I waited until the morning to go to the office to ask them to help me get my phone. In the meantime, I had been using my work phone. There was a female staff in the office at 6am when I went in there. She stated it would be about 20 minutes as no-one else was available. No-one ever came to my room so I went back to the office at 830am, carrying my work phone in my hand and the same male staff that checked me in; was rude to me again. When I asked if they could help me get my phone. He stated "you already have a phone." I told him "I have two phones and I am not leaving without it. I have been waiting for two hours. I will be waiting at the room for you guys." He later sent a younger male with a drill to come unscrew the mounted headboard. I followed the younger male to the room and watched him. I also thanked him. Then as I sat in my car to get ready to leave, the older male staff went marching into the room, like he was checking to make sure I didn't damage the room or something. Like I lied or something. It seemed he did not want to serve me or believe me because I was a woman. DISGUSTING! Discrimination towards women still exists! I will NEVER stay here again. Also my comforter was stained, the towels were VERY old and worn out. They even had a break-down of how much they charge if these items are taken from the room. 5.00 a washcloth and 15.00 charge for the towel. Not sure who would want these ugly tattered linens! Worst place ever. Beds were extremely hard like sleeping on the floor, low shower pressure, no hair dryer, beding was nasty with tons of stains, and then they doubled charge me. Im mean seriously $69 a night doesnt mean we are charging you $150. If I knew that we would have gone to Comfort Inn for $100 a night for cleaner and more stuff in our room.
