Motel is also a short distance from the shops at montebello shopping mall which features several grocery stores like Macy's, JC Penney etc. There is also a McDonald's and Jack in the Box restaurant nearby! STAFF IS AMAZING! -- The establishment itself is completely terrible. Internet will not connect to the tvs in order to play Netflix which they state they offer. Only one ice machine in which doesn't work all day due to many people using it. Offer laundry on site. When asked how to obtain quarters the maid said to get it from front desk. When went to front desk they only had $2 WORTH OF QUARTERS! Door broke on the pool. Made a reservation over the phone through motel 6 and was told I would be given a microwave and refrigerator. when arrived I was told that those rooms are only given to people who are in rooms with 2 beds. I'm usually a hotel snob. I pay whatever for 5 star hotels. But for a quick trip to do a couple YouTube videos for my Channel, I stayed here. The reason why is I heard Rosemead was a safe area in LA and it was close to the restaurants I was reviewing. The good: The hotel is conveniently located right in front of the freeway entrance. There's a gas station, Denny's, and a buffet all within the same parking lot and there is a lot of parking available. The area is safe. There is a mall within walking distance. The ladies inside the front desk are really nice. The bad: the rooms look rough. Not the cleanest. The clientele mind their own business and seem like ok people but just down on their luck. A lot of people with pets and people that smoke stay here. Maybe because there's no rules. For the $60 I paid a night I guess it was cool. I have stayed here for almost a month now, and literally by far the worst and most snobby motel 6 there can possibly be out there. Customer service is the worst, Cristina, the manager that mostly is there in the afternoons wants to act like she's the owner of the motel lol. The month I stayed there I legit seen her kick almost 3 different people from their rooms out and I bet for no reason at all, I seen a review that said she kicked someone out for asking for a clean room? Sounds like the same situation I'm in at the moment. They should definitely not act like this because meanwhile they're making their money there, I'm spending it there and I rarely even ask for anything when I stay there yet even to get a damn towel it's an issue. Come back to Motel 6. This is a one star hotel. The only thing the maids do is change the sheets. You must exchange your own towels at front desk. The room has not been dusted properly for a year. Counters not wiped down. Mirrors dirty. Tv is filthy. How is it possible they can't get people to at least wipe the room down. I don't expect it to be perfect. But a minimum level of clean. I came to the area for work. This place is disgusting and I'm certain if you care for your pet. You wouldn't bring them here. I stayed once and they were offended i cut my days shorter. That i didn't want to stay but i was polite and said my work schedule changed. On top of the fact that the convalescent center near by doesn't even hire legitimate nurses, this place was the cherry on top . I was told I'd have to check out and check back in so that the house keeper can clean. I rented it out for another week and when I walked in the floor wasn't swept or mopped. Windows still with fingerprints. I called and the front desk says since I booked it for another week all they do is change the bedding. So I'm paying all this money for this shit. WOW! WHERE do I begin?! This is actually the 1st review I've ever wrote b/c I would rather communicate w/ a business 1st, but since the people at the front desk refused to call the manager and it's seriously a matter of LIFE & DEATH, I have no other choice but to inform others so they don't die, too! I informed the ladies at the desk that there was an infestation of bees flying around the rooms outside. This is an extreme emergency b/c people can die who are allergic! I gave them options if they don't want to kill the bees then there's an eco-friendly company who can come out to see if they can remove them, or they can squirt w/ just dish soap and water, but it needs to be taken care of immediately b/c I can die w/in 10 min if I get stung - and they haven't done anything about it! The lady acted as if she didn't care, told me the manager "probably" knows about it and nobody has done anything to fix the situation. I had to tell them how to get rid of them, but they are refusing to do anything, long story short. They just said I had to wait until the next day (which will be 2 dys since I made the 1st complaint) until the manager comes back. It's appalling - a life or death situation - and the manager/staff thinks it's not imminent enough to get it taken care of asap?! In the meantime, the cleaning crew is going in/out of the rooms, leaving the doors open and I'm sure the next guest/s will have some bees in their rooms. Just hopefully they won't die from it like I would! This isn't the 1st time there's been a serious issue on top of their shocking behavior. I only came here b/c I had no other choice. This is the WORST customer service w/ pure negligence and I won't be staying here again - I'm just hoping I live long enough to survive getting out of here! If I wasn't so desperate, I would've moved out already, but I won't be able to get a refund until after I book another place. I wasn't able to get their names but the ladies working at the front desk wed Jan 8 at night and thurs Jan 9 in the morning were incredibly helpful and so so sweet, not just to my partner and I but to other customers as well. My girlfriend and I recently stayed here for two nights. I don't have a bad thing to say about the establishment. Our room was clean, our bed was comfortable, and the front desk staff was very nice. No complaints whatsoever about the bathroom, either. I dug how the floor is hardwood instead of carpet; my allergies didn't flare like they do at other lodgings. Last but not least, I also want to mention that this Motel 6 is close by to many restaurants, as well as The Shops at Montebello. If you're missing any toiletries, there's a Wal-Mart about six minutes away. The 60 will take you straight to L.A. Sure enough, I'll likely book a room again. read more

Also it is vary nasty , blood stains on sheets If you request cleaning service they will bring you broom mop rags for you to clean. No bed bugs, at least in my room. Did a thorough check since I came from a place with a pest problem and this was turning into the vacation from hell. This location is relatively clean, except for the hair everywhere, mystery stains on the bathroom wall and the copious amount of dust under the bed. Queen bed is more like a full. Top sheet had holes in it, smelled like urine and had stains on it. The kicker was the cleaning staff's insistence on dressing the bed with every time they cleaned, even though I put it on the coat rack next to the bathroom each time. The bed was sort of comfortable. I was supposedly given a non-smoking room but it smelled like dirty nursing home and cigarettes. I had to spray a lot to feel sort of comfortable eating in the room. When I asked for a refrigerator was told they "weren't sure if had extra but could leave food down here with us (in the staff fridge (???))" I am not comfortable doing that but nice CS spin, make it seem like they are sympathetic while giving a no answer. Is the location safe? Well, the sheriff's department makes frequent appearances in the area, there are burn marks on the nightstand and there's graffiti scratched into the bathroom wall. So yeah, use the deadbolt folks. The surrounding area is pretty safe and Shops at Montebello are super close so at least there are things to do. I consider it a success if I leave with my stuff, my person and my sanity in tact. The rooms are not cleaned properly and the staff here are racist and unprofessional. Especially the front desk associate Christina and the manager. I rented a room for one night and went to the front desk around 11am to extend for another night. The manager told me there were no rooms available and she couldn't extend. I explained that there were empty rooms and housekeeping was cleaning rooms but the manager kept gaslighting me saying nothing was available. She called housekeeping and they said "no rooms were being cleaned". It was checkout time and I literally saw them cleaning them. The two ladies working April 6th in the evening have literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I had been traveling since 3:30 am, and just wanted to go to sleep. I arrived at 8:40ish to check-in. When checking in I asked for a non-smoking room, once I got into the room I smelled smoke. I went back up front and asked Stephanie if she could get me a different room, she told me that her boss was going to have to check the room to confirm it actually smelled like smoke. I told Stephanie that even if her boss didn't think it smelled like smoke, I was not staying in that room due to my asthma. Instead of just getting me a new room, these "customer service representatives" made me stand up front while Stephanie's boss went to inspect the room with a can of Glade air freshener spray. 5 minutes later Stephanie's boss returns and said it smelled a little like smoke, and finally decided I was worthy of a room change. I'm confused why the amount of smoke smell inside of a non-smoking room is has any relevance. I asked Stephanie's boss what the reason for making me wait was, instead of just giving me a new room. This place is a joke. I paid for a room through Expedia when I went to check in I was told I could not rent a room when I had previously done it with no issues. I did everything required so I was told I had to wait and I could not cancel because if I canceled, I would not get my money back, so almost a week later Who was on vacation would not return my money. She gave me no valid reason for not allowing me to rent the room and then later with through Expedia when Expedia tried to contact them to give me my money back Christina, the manager kept up with a lie stating she had no control over that when it all fell on her, she tried to blame Expedia saying that they would give me the runaround so that I would get tired and then after multiple phone calls complaining Expedia and directly attitude they don't care and they keep my money and in the end Guadalupe another employee told Expedia that I was a no-show when that was a blatant lie and they kept my money didn't allow me to stay in the room no valid reasonand don't care when I told him I would take him to small claims they didn't care. First of all before I say anything. You are getting what you pay for. So just keep that in mind. My family and I stayed here for a week overall it was quite alright. The rooms were very clean, the front desk was super friendly, has a washateria and pool. Besides that since it is a motel 6 and is on the cheaper side it didn't have any of the extra stuff in the room. Used to be a clean spot to lay your head and relax but I don't know if they've hired new maids and maintenance men because the place looks run down and dirty. Our room smelled like it hosted the night before's weed party and feet or a dirty dog. And the restroom goodness, the maid did not bother to clean the splatters off the sidewall, DISGUSTING! The sink had debris on the inside and the shower stall was a mess with peeling floor and moldy drain, some germicidial bleach treatments would work wonders. We were disappointed and will not return, we'll spend the extra money elsewhere. I started off making a reservation for 2 nights, but I changed it to only 1 night. I would've asked for a refund but I was too tired to look for another hotel. I had read the reviews about the dirtiness, so I brought my own bedding. I thought what else can go wrong? I checked in around 11:30pm and once I went around the building to my room, the parking lot was full of shady people. It was like an outdoor party. There was a couple arguing and cussing loudly, that kept going on and on and on. When I took my dogs for a walk once settled in - I was approached by a few people that seemed like they were under the influence of drugs. People were hanging out right outside their door with other guests just being loud at 1:00 am on a Sunday. WTF! I had to move my car to a different spot because it didn't feel safe parking it in the center parking lot. Then I saw a girl (she seemed methed out) with a child on her hip and dragging another child by the hand - while the child walking BAREFOOT IN THE PARKING LOT at 1am!!! How is CPS not making visits to this place!! Once I finally winded down and fell asleep - I kept getting woken up by people outside my room talking and yelling across the parking lot. It was one of the worst, if not THE WORST hotel I've ever stayed at or been to. Not to mention the disgusting brown stains caked on the bathroom wall. I straight out wore sandals in the shower because that bathroom was disgusting - just grossed me out. Does your cleaning crew do anything besides make the beds and replace the towels? The bed seemed like it was made by a child. **I couldn't believe how dirty this hotel was, especially while there is a PANDEMIC STILL GOING ON??? Is your cleaning crew AWARE OF THIS? What good does it do for us to keep washing our hands continuously, wearing a mask, disinfecting everything... Why are your rooms so filthy???? This place is a dump. Customer service is lacking. Reserved on Christmas Day. I paid almost $90 for a single bed and the room was seedy as hell. The bed spread smelled like it hadn't been washed in weeks, the furniture was run down, no dresser space, the room had only two chairs and a rackety old creaky table inside, some light bulbs were missing out of the lamps, not enough towels. Also the room had no amenities. No microwave, no fridge. If that wasn't bad enough, checking in I brought in a guest with me and the person working the front desk was looking at him most of the time instead of me.
