Before I get into the details of my room, it's worth saying that customer service was excellent. I arrived earlier than expected, so I knew that the chances of getting a room at the time were slim. I told the front desk receptionist that I could work out of the lobby until a room was ready for me. I was probably on my computer for 15 minutes until she alerted me that she was able to offer a room for me. She first asked if a room with double beds was sufficient, which was totally fine by me, but she ended up doing me a solid by getting a king bed for my stay. Admittedly my room felt dated. It looked like it was straight out of the 70s - from the carpet pattern to wall paper to orange/brown color palette. It even smelled old and musty, so I had to turn on the AC to get some ventilation. My room did have a balcony, and I would've loved to have kept the screen door open to get fresh air, but I didn't want these giant bugs hanging out on my screen door find their way inside. The bathroom had the bare minimum. Lastly, I had the worst sleep. I kept tossing and turning because of the pillows. read more

Disgusting. We stayed in room 820, first of all the room was creepy af. The light was flickering all night to top it off the room smelled like mold and we keep hearing all types of banging nighttime into the morning. To top it off the raised parking to $50. We will never stay here again read more

Nothing cooks my bacon as much as finding out I have to pay "parking charges" when I get to a hotel. NOTHING was disclosed anywhere until I arrived at the desk. Or if it was, it satisfied some lawyer's 6 font disclosure, but certainly not a marketing major's awareness. The staff was good. Very helpful and nice. They at least had great employees. The room was decent but had that funky chemical cleaner smell. Like they were drowning everything out with the harsh cleaning chemicals. Worst, the lighting was uber-dim like they were trying to hide things. The best thing about the room was that the shower was fantastic. Very powerful and I just loved that. Would not recommend a stay based on the hidden fees that nail you after you start to check in. read more

The hotel looks very clean and looks like it's kept well, but I found a couple fleas in my room and a roach. I could not sleep the whole night because I was so itchy and I have stayed in other Marriotts before and I have never felt like this. I also had an old creepy guy stalking me at the pool. Stop being such a snob. Yes, I know the western part of the San Gabriel Valley isn't a sexy place to stay in L.A., but Jamie W. and I end up in this part of the SoCal sprawl because well, we're cheap. Proud but cheap. In fact, at $165 per night, it's a whole lot cheaper to stay in this area than, say, the middle of L.A. at an inevitably higher-end option like Farmer's Daughter on Fairfax where we would have to pay twice as much for the same amenities just to be closer to places we want to avoid anyway like The Grove. Rosemead is a lot closer to Alhambra where my favorite Hainan chicken spot is, Savoy Kitchen (review: http://bit.ly/2uWbMTL). Besides, you have to drive everywhere in L.A. anyway. This is a Fairfield Inn, which is the bargain basement chain of Marriotts, but this one has been recently refurbished. Only reason I'm even giving 3 stars is due to the decent room, breakfast accommodations, and the really sweet breakfast host Holly. Me and my mom were disgusted with our experience with the receptionist Natasha. She was completely rude, had horrible customer service, and didn't bother to help us regarding our room reservation until my father (who booked the room & is a platinum member of this franchise) called to rectify the situation. I won't even bother to get into the details, but the moment we walked in the hotel, she didn't even greet us. And when I addressed her, she was very cold and uninterested in being of any help. Maybe she was having a bad day, but treating guests in that manner is embarrassing for business. If anyone happens to read this, hopefully she gets the necessary training she needs... or not, idc. Overall this place looks nice on the outside and then side but this place was actually really dirty. We stayed on the second floor and we had a waterfall coming from the ceiling. Then we go inside our hotel room and our toilet wasn't cleaned and I go to check the shower and there was someone else's hair on the floor (man and woman parts ) they didn't have any hair products (empty) I'm glad we only stayed one night. Mixed review on this hotel. POSITIVES: Gym with cardio machines and free weights. Pool. Outdoor seating area with fire pit. Breakfast is pretty solid with a lot of options: eggs, meat, make your own waffle station, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, juices, and bread station: bagels, variety of breads, English muffins and pound cake. NEGATIVES: As a Gold Elite Marriott rewards member I opted to have late checkout. I not only did mobile check-in and selected that option I called ahead the day before to confirm with the front desk. So around 12pm I'm in the shower and someone BANGS on my hotel room door. And I mean BANGS. Startled me so bad I almost cut myself shaving. So I continue to shower because clearly this is a mistake. Maybe 2 minutes later the incessant BANGING continues. So I climb out of the shower with just a towel to open the door to a maid telling me I need to check out. I told her I have late checkout and she says that the front desk called me and I didn't answer. No one called me. So I call the front desk and they say there's no record of late checkout even though it's sitting on my mobile app as confirmation. So the front desk extends it to 2pm and then tells me that it's not their fault. I will not be staying here ever again. read more

Had a nice stay here as we just needed a place for one night while attending a wedding in nearby Montebello. The Fairfield is right off the 60 freeway and on the backside of the Montebello Town Center. There is a good amount of parking in their private lot. Some are covered and others are just open to the elements. The room wasnt bad. We requested a higher floor room and we got one on the 3rd floor. It came with a balcony and a view of the pool. It was nice but we had an issue with the glass sliding door that led to the balcony. It wouldnt lock. There was an obstruction and it wouldnt fully close so you could lock it. I have to deduct stars for that because it became a safety and peace of mind issue for me. We called downstairs and maintenance was called. A handyman came to check it out and said he would not be able to fix the issue until the next day. He assured us the room and our belongings would be safe. We were on the 3rd floor but still... My paranoia kicks in. That's just me.. Other than that, the room was nice and the bathroom was surprisingly big and modern with a big backlit mirror. This Fairfield looks to either be newly renovated or a new property entirely as everything had a new feel to it. The bed was comfortable and the tv was modern enough. The bathroom though was really nice. The glass encased shower was roomy. I liked it. The complimentary breakfast was nice. The usual suspects were available. Eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels, cereal, fruit, etc. and waffles you can make. We always try to sample something before we check out. Overall, a decent stay minus the glass sliding door issue. If you are in the Rosemead area and looking for a place to stay, this is it!! I love it here and I had a wonderful stay. My family and I stayed here for a night before visiting family in the San Gabriel area. This Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott location was just perfect. I don't recall this location when I checked the Marriott's site during my last trip. This place is very easy to get to except for the fact that my other half entered the wrong address in to his phone's gps and it took an additional 10 mins to get to the hotel. Fairfield Inn is located on the corner of the highway, with residences near by and Jack in the Box and Mcdonald's right across the street. We checked in at the hotel after 7pm, late check in, it was a long day and a long drive from Las Vegas. I wanted to catch up on my sleep and so glad we were able to do this here. Checking in was so simple and quick, the front desk attendant was friendly, we got our keys and found our room pretty easy. The rooms are a nice size, I requested 2 double beds which I am happy to see. I love the desk in the room which I was able to squeeze in some work before catching up on my sleep. I like the little balcony outside, its the first hotel that I stayed at, that has a balcony. The view from the balcony is the pool and jacuzzi. It was nice to see that the others are enjoying the hotel's amenities. The only complaint I have is the front door and bathroom door is too close together, if you are in room 304 be careful when opening both doors. I like that the room even has a fridge, microwave, coffee, & coffee maker. The Fairfield Inn is a small hotel with 3 floors. Its fairly new about 2 years old. I really like the decor of this hotel, upon entering, the place is really trendy. Don't mistake the computer work area on your left when you entered as the front desk, this happened to me. The front desk is in the middle once you enter. This Fairfield has complimentary breakfast. I am so impressed after our breakfast. The breakfast station is clean and the workers in charge are friendly. They make sure everything is filled and works hard. Besides enjoying breakfast, I really enjoyed the bold coffee, happy to start my morning & vacation off with great coffee & breakfast. Breakfast consist of : eggs, bacon, sausage, omelette, cereal, make your own waffles, assortment of breads, bagel, baked goods, fruits, yogurt, & boiled egg. FYI- This Fairfield Inn doesn't charge for parking. All in all, I am glad that I stayed here, we enjoyed our stay. I recommend and I look forward to staying here again! read more

Posting this a little late. Back in November when we had to get our house fumigated because of termites we needed to find a place to stay. We found this great hotel in Rosemead called Fairfield Inn & Suites in Rosemead. The hotel was recently completely remodeled. We were concerned about staying somewhere else, but we were pleasantly surprised by how clean the hotel was. Protocols put in place gave us peace of mind. The staff was amazing. They were friendly and very courteous and the price was right. I would give them a 5 out of 5! read more

I have never been so brand loyal to a company than Marriott. I went to this hotel for my birthday. I stayed there because it was a Marriott because Marriott was supposed to have standards. Instead a Maintenence man locked himself in our room with no explanation and we found Cum stains all over our sheets. I have pictures! Your assistant gm response was to argue that the stains were probably from another substance. Never acknowledges the maintenance man and offer 20% off. At the very least i except a clean and safe room when i stay somewhere. The didn't even provide that. read more

Stayed here for the night, first time at a Fairfield inn and thought it would be good since there's a Marriott label attached. This is clearly an older hotel that has gone through updating. The rooms and bathroom were decent. The issue I have is with the breakfast. For a good part of the morning, the hot food was running on low and/or empty. When the food did come, the tater tots had a soggy consistency as though they had been sitting in its own steam for a while. The lady who managed the food was so nice and friendly, it seems she could really use an extra help, especially right at 7am when everyone is starving. read more

We travel quite a lot and normally stay at Marriott properties. We recently traveled to Los Angeles and stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Rosemead. Our room and the entire hotel was extremely clean and very quiet. The staff were extremely helpful especially Irene who assisted with our check-out, Sergio who welcomed us upon our late arrival, and I believe Natasha who we called requesting a quiet room further from elevators and with a pool view as opposed to street view. Everyone of these three were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. We would certainly stay here again when traveling to LA. read more

This hotel is trendy, clean, and has great customer service. There's a lot of restaurants and shops close by! Even a mall i think. It's a plus how there is free hot breakfast and free parking. The breakfast has plenty of fruits, yogurt, oatmeal, eggs, and sausage patties along with four types of juices! Parking is easy to find here and almost each room appears to have a balcony! The bedroom and bathroom is also very spacious. We requested a crib and extra towels which they easily accommodated. The only thing i don't like about this hotel is that the walls between each room are pretty thin. I stayed here for 2 nights and each night, i can hear the music from the next room and i could hear the other guests' conversing for hours while i was trying to sleep. read more

After a dozen or so stays at our other place on Valley, it was time for us to find another hotel. This hotel has many things going for it. On a day that was 105, the A/C worked well enough I almost had to go downstairs and get an extra blanket. Our room was perfectly clean, the restroom was very nice, plenty of hot water good pressure, water drains fast. Bed was very comfy, there is a small balcony that we did not even use, much too hot. The complimentary breakfast was not much. There was not enough choices to make up anything I would order if I was eating breakfast. Making the reservation was easy, I called right there at the hotel. The price was a premium, but what can I say-it is a holiday weekend. Kami-an iconic Chinese seafood buffet and grill is within walking distance if you like too much food. Staff made us feel welcome and that was nice. We will be back, we enjoyed our stay. read more

Absolutely perfect! My boyfriend and I stayed in a room with one king bed. The room was clean and very nice. The breakfast served at the hotel was a typical breakfast which we expected. We really liked how parking was complimentary. During the duration of our stay, we appreciated how the staff at the front desk was so kind to us. I stayed here the night before my wedding and the night of my wedding (11/19/16). We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. The space was large enough to accommodate 8 girls and a make-up team of 4 ladies whom arrived during the early hours of my wedding date. The bathroom was also quite large. Only thing is water bottle is not complimentary so we end up buying water ! ---------------- Facility and rooms are clean. Check-in online in morning but some how 2nd room was not ready at 4.30 pm. That's okay, they prepared and made it ready in 15 min. While booking, i made it clear that there are 4 adults and 2 kids. They gave two room with twin bed! Modern and clean with comfortable beds. We did have some trouble with our key sensor on the door that kept us locked out of our room for over an hour, in the middle of the night. Could've been really dangerous in an emergency situation... Poor gentlemen at the front desk had a hard time getting a hold of management for any help. He ended up having to use string attached to a metal wire to unlock it. The engineer wouldn't be in until 9 am next morning and there wasn't any other available rooms. If we ever needed to leave the room, one of us had to stay to let the other person back in. Decided to checkout much earlier than originally planned and was fairly surprised no one seemed too concerned about compensating us for the issue. Since we booked from a third party source- Hotels.com, we were only offered Marriot Reward points, which I still haven't received a confirmation email about... Parking is a nightmare. Really small lot considering the size of the hotel. Luckily we found the last available spot and noticed people had to start parking all along outside of building. Check in process was quick. I used the new app and set my check in time over the phone. That ensured that everything was setup prior to my arrival. Everything here has been remodeled so the actual hotel itself is in excellent condition. The bathroom is massive ( weird , but true) . I stayed in this hotel for one night for a business trip. It's lovely. The staff is kind and helpful. The room was clean and orderly. It smelled "spa like". I had a king bed and a stand up shower. If you prefer a bath or have small children, you may need to let them know when you book your room. I'm unsure if all of the rooms have stand up showers, but I would assume some of them have bathtubs. The shower is STRONG. I enjoy a strong, massage-like shower, but beware that it is quite powerful. The continental breakfast is nice. Typical of many hotels, I feel, but the option of a free breakfast is always good. The breakfast room was well kept, clean, and stocked. There is a small business center off the main lobby that allows you to print for free. Traveling for business I often find that there is a fee to print anything other than a boarding pass. This is a very average hotel billing itself as an Inn. The place was full when we arrived so we were glad we had reservations. Room is adequate and clean. AC struggling to cool it down and it's only in the 80's. HD tv in room but the place only provides a standard signal. At the time of check out I personally dumped cigarette trash away in the trash bin in the room now they have the nerve to use that against me, stating someone's witnessed a person smoking in the room to gain monies from guests is total bullshit. read more

The lobby looks great and modern. However, once you past the lobby and get into the rooms, they look old and meh. The room I was in, it definitely needs some updating and maintenance. There were cracks in the bathroom, dust bunnies in the AC/Heater, things looked old and needed replacing. The doors slamming at night kept me up. The AC/fan/Heater was so loud I had to turn it off to sleep, but would wake up hot in the middle of the night. The parking fee sucks, but there are plenty of spots. It was very comfortable. The staff was nice and always greeted you as we came in or left the hotel. Breakfast was included. It was pretty good. We searched for a decent hotel to stay long term for my step dad's surgery. We came across this hotel and couldn't be more pleased with it. It is brand new or well renovated I guess...but it seems like it was just built from the ground up. It is so clean and well taken care of. The rooms have a microwave and fridge and some overlook or walk out to the pool. The pool is new as well and they choose nice outdoor furniture that is comfortable and high end. Every single person we have come in contact with at the hotel is an absolute pleasure, willing to help with a smile. They have a great little gym that is new and clean, an outdoor seating area with a fire place and well lite parking. Amy their GM is top notch and obviously it has trickled down to all her staff. I would highly recommend this hotel for business travel or stays such as ours when you need to be in the area. read more
