Compared to other hotels in the area I got a decent price for this place. However my mom-smoking room smells like cigarettes. I went to use the toilet and noticed a large puddle next to the toilet. Then I noticed a large crack running through half the bowl. After wiping up the puddle and flushing the toilet I confirmed that this was the source of water on the floor. I informed the front desk right away but was told they didn't have any rooms to move me to. If you get put in 109 hopefully they have fixed these issues. read more

Do not waste your time or money. For a "manager", since that's what we're calling him, Roger has zero customer service skills, zero common sense and zero respect. Went down to ask if there was something they could do about the all ants in my room and all he did was blame me for having food in my room (which I did not), tell me everything he wasn't going to do (give me another room, send someone to take care of the problem, etc) and then brush me off as if I was an inconvenience when the inconvenience is that he's the manager. read more

The entire staff was nice and helpful. We stayed for 3 nights and had a pleasant experience. There was an event happening over the weekend and the motel was full but still quiet and peaceful. There was a booking issue between booking with booking.com then canceling and booking with the motel 6 itself. After the ordeal, the staff and customer service representatives were all very polite and helpful and solved the problem no issue! We were very pleased and enjoyed our stay. I'm very impressed with this location! I've only ever stayed in one other Motel 6, that impressed me this much and that was in Sydney Nebraska. The room looks like one you would expect to pay over $150 a night. The room is spacious and the decor is minimal and pleasant. I love the wood floors. The staff is incredibly friendly and quite informative about the surrounding area. Both clerks were very outgoing and glad to have a chat if they're not busy helping other customers. I'd recommend this particular Motel 6 to anyone who is the area. I'm right next to the freeway and I can't hear the traffic noise. Definitely worthy of a five star rating. read more

Nice quality clean rooms. Looks a bit upscale for a Motel 6. The main downside to our stay was the Housekeeping staff who were very rude, spoke little English, and opened up the room door on me unauthorized 2X while we where in our room. This goes to show that your privacy is not their priority and they can careless about walking in on you sleeping. There are no "do not disturb" signs or "room is ready for service." So people made their own signs and taped them to their room doors which is tacky & ghetto. read more

The facility is modern and all the outlets, furniture, fixtures, etc. are up-to-date and not dinged up. The linens are clean and white, and the blankets have no holes or fraying. The rooms are very clean, and the housekeeping staff is courteous, friendly, and very helpful. The front desk staff is also courteous, friendly, very helpful and I have witnessed some serious patience on their part when dealing with some customers less than happy about the availability of rooms (because of the eclipse). I would highly recommend a stay here. We've enjoyed it very much. read more

I stayed here while I was looking for an apartment and working in Portland. I ended up needing to stay for 5 weeks. #1, they give you a slight discount in the rate for week long stays. #2, I stayed in room #111 and it was great! King sized bed, fridge and micro, good enough TV, dresser, closet space, and nice sink area. Bathroom is a little on the small side, but whatever. #3, There is a pool so you can sunbathe and swim if you'd like #4, Close to grocery store and many restaurants, #5, Great rates, clean, mostly quiet except for a couple of dogs barking late at night, which the front desk clerks took care of right away. It's Motel 6 and probably one of the nicest Motel 6's I've stayed in throughout WA, OR, and CA. read more

Staff is less than helpful....front desk clerk lacks basic English skills which leads to several miscommunications at check-in. Manager is less than helpful and downright hostile when confronted with issues. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY charge ridiculous prices for "high" speed internet that is slow. For the price, this place lacks amenities. NO ELEVATOR to the top floors? Well, then, you are a 39.99 a night motel. Overall the room I had was old, carpet from the 1970s and it smelled like mildew. The TVs are old-fashioned big box and small screens. 8 channels. NOT a pleasant experience for the price. They are totally ghetto and just trying to pretend to be more. Value is about $39.99 a night. This hotel was great for how cheap it was. Everything was very clean. My only complaints are there were not enough towels for a two bed room, and lack of a hair dryer. This is probably the nicest motel 6 we've ever stayed in. We're actually in the one across the street. We always had bad experiences with motel 6's, but who hasn't? We were kinda regret we picked this one but it was cheap and there pet policy is the best. When we got her the front desk was nice and welcoming, even let us check in early. (That was a plus because we just had a 10 hour drive from California.) We got in our room and was actually really surprise. It smelt super clean, the bed was comfy and sheets were clean. The AC worked great!!! The bathroom was clean! And it is pretty cute. They have a pet area for your animals to use the bathroom. Parking doesn't look too bad. We will definitely be coming back to this one!!! read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for thanksgiving while visiting my family, don't stay here, this is one of those cheap motels where the staff steals your stuff, we were missing my boyfriend's three sweaters he took on the trip, I know they are just sweaters, but they were nice, and I work hard for my money and the things I spend it on. I called and spoke with the manager Christian, and he basically gave me the impression he has no control over his staff, I spoke to him twice, and after that he never got back to me. Very unprofessional. You should never steal other people's belonging, no matter how cheap the motel. read more

Very clean. Modern renovations, which add to the feeling of comfort. All very new and and sharp. However the walls are made of paper and the faux wood floors allow every step from the above floor to echo through the room below. Well you get what you paid for. Passing through Oregon and just needed a last minute place to stay. Let's begin by the walls.. Way.. Too.. Thin.. We over heard a prostitute sex transaction go down in the room attached to ours... Super embarrassing! We had to turn the t.v up as loud as we could to drown the noise. Obviously this isn't exactly something the hotel has direct knowledge about or can really prevent, however I heard every word that was spoken, maybe some insulation in the walls could help avoid that, guest service was really good, the man at the front desk was really nice even at midnight! The beds were not comfortable at all, but again we paid $50 so not too mad. If it wasn't for the opportunity to shower sleeping in the car would have sufficed. read more

Worse experience ever. Checked in for a 2 queen room and the toilet didn't work, stains and hair on sheets and pillow cases, offered us to a king room only to go to much worse of a mess. Floors look as if they have never been swept or mopped, asked for housekeepers not to clean room as I would do it myself because they clearly don't know how to clean, house keepers still came and cleaned room, took out one trash and not the other, had stained sheets and pillow cases asked for fresh ones just to have more stains and hairs on them. The morning of check out which is at noon, at 10:58 am housekeeping tried coming in our room without knocking!! This is just a short example of the worse experience at a motel 6. And they never had the audacity to apologize. They will be facing some major issues. This place should be shut down. read more

I went there because I thought it would be a nice place to spend the night since I had to work late and start early, I had a 10:30 pm closing shift and a 6 am opening shift, I live 30 miles away. The lady I first talked to was nice, but didn't understand what I asked for. I asked for a king sized room, she gave me the key to the room and I walked in and saw a full sized bed in a really dim lit room even with all the lights on. I then looked at the bathroom and realized the room I was charged for was an ADA room. At the time I didn't have time to get another room so I left for work. Came back on my lunch break to check out because that was rediculous. Not only because of the wrong room was given but because the lack of respect I saw for those with disabilities that stay there. The room was small, the furniture was all solid wood and uncomfortable, the bedding was ragged, and as I said before extremely dim lit even with the curtains open, very little light was in that room at 2 in the afternoon. My parents are disabled and I have been in a lot of ADA rooms, that was the worst... I checked out and the lady that I checked in with wasn't there but the one that was there was also nice but told me that the next time I am there I need to expressly ask for a deluxe room. Sorry king size room and ADA room sound nothing alike and should not cost anywhere near the same. I only received a 50% refund for all my troubles and only 6 hours of storing my work clothes for the next day. In my opinion, that is not right. read more

After driving 6 hours (got lost for 90 minutes at the end of the trip), we arrived to our destination only to be told that we didn't HAVE reservations. The mean front desk female told me, very rudely, that they didn't have any vacancies. When asked if I could possible be at the wrong Motel 6, she snapped back that the one I was at was the only one around. I finally found a place to stay back in Vancouver for twice what I had already paid for a crappy motel 6 room. The place smelled like the bottom of a bowling alley ashtray inside the lobby. Pretty scuzzy overall. ANYWAY... the credit card was charged so I disputed it. Got credited back but the Motel 6 said that I was a no show and charged me back. $73 later, I hate this place and would encourage anybody who is thinking about staying here to find someplace else. read more

The only redeeming quality of my 5 night stay here was the staff. They were friendly and courteous while the hotel itself was less than desirable. The room had no fridge or microwave. That wasn't such a big deal, the room was cheap, I did not expect it to amazing, I just expected it to be decent. The beds were essentially cardboard with a mattress pad and a sheet. The blankets and pillow cases were stiff and smelled like they hadn't been washed, the windows were visibly dirty, as was the entire room. Dust coated the floors and my socks got dirty just walking around the room. There was hair everywheee, especially stuck in the shower and the bathroom door looked like someone had spend hours kicking the bottom of it. To top it all off, all I could hear throughout the night was the very loud strip club next door. read more

VERY BASIC. NO coffee pot, shamp/cond, hair dryer, ONE PLY Toilet paper, NO pen/paper, no iron or really anything you might look for in any room. Towels HALF the size they should be, thin and rough. Pillows flat as pancakes. Squeaky bed, floor boards. Landscaper blowing leaves under window at exactly 9 a.m. - someone yelled out the window and landscaper kept blowing. Motel 6 needs to care about their guests and clearly do not. Noone at desk asked us if we were happy with our stay or had any issues. Noone wanted to know. No breakfast i could see. Nothing. Very disappointing. Was fairly clean, however the remodel feels stark and cold. Definitely will not come back again. Left feeling like the bare minimum was barely met. read more

In a week of travel, this was the best hotel (and the least expensive) that I stayed in. Immaculate rooms, reminded me of an IKEA staged bedroom. Very clean, well appointed. This place felt nasty. The check in staff were nice and also good at check out but everything in between sucked. First : hair on the sheets from previous guests. Did they change the sheets? Idk. Floor seemed like it hadn't been swept for a while so walking around without shoes on was not something I could do, then there was the bathroom. The towels were discolored and stained so I couldn't tell you if they were clean or not. The toilet though, I am sure was not cleaned, and this is how. The toilet seat, not the cover or the lower rim but the seat it self, was covered in dried piss. The remote control for the TV was full of what I hope was food gunk. At least the pillow covers seemed to have been changed though. read more

On May 1st, I booked a room at Motel 6 Portland South through Booking.com and was given a confirmation number of 1637.465-083 for two night on September 22 checking out Sept 24th 2017. The rate was $19.94. I double checked and it still came up as that rate so I confirmed the reservation with my credit card. Today 6/8/17 I received a phone call from Motel 6 telling me that they had frozen their account with Booking.com and they would not honor that rate. While I understand that they might not want to honor that rate, I feel that their issue should be with Booking.com not me as the consumer. Motel 6 quoted me a rate of almost $100 per night for this time, so I canceled the reservation. However, in hindsight, I should have insisted that they honor the rate which I got in good faith, and then they could take recourse with Booking.com to collect the difference. I don't believe it is appropriate not to honor my original reservation. It feels like this was a bait and switch scheme as Booking.com obviously had permission to market their rooms at the time I made the reservation. I called the property back directly and the clerk was unable to answer my questions and told me she could only give me a 10% discount off their new rate. As a consumer I was taken advantage of, not to mention my time has been wasted in dealing with this matter. Motel 6 should honor the rate and take this up with Booking.com I have documentation of the booking and rate. read more

The staff is very nice, I've had a great experience with the workers here. Unfortunately, the stay is awful. The AC does not work at all, the toilet leaks, the internet is unbearably slow (and sometimes not even working, it doesn't help that there's an additional charge per day for wifi either), and there is no fridge in the room. If you are looking for a place to spend the night and intend on leaving the next morning, this place is great for a quick one night stop. But if you're staying in the area for several nights, it wouldn't hurt to shop around. read more

This was the worst motel experience I have had by far. The entire building smells like there was a massacre of a foot fetish orgy. The strip club next door plays super loud music past 2am, and I am pretty sure I got at least one disease from the super old/unclean room. I was supposed to stay for a week between apartments. After getting maybe 4 hours of sleep I went down and asked for a refund of the remaining nights. I decided I'd be better off sleeping in my car. If you want to kill yourself this is the place to do it, otherwise you are better off on the streets. read more

I arrived at the motel and checked inn. I had reserved a room with microwave, refrigerator and a rollaway bed for 4 people. The front desk told me they gave me room to someone else. So they gave me another room I used the key cards and it didn't work so I went back down stairs and they gave me another one. We entered the room it smelled like cigarette smoke so I went to open the window seal was full of dead flys I could barely slide the window open. By the way they said the room was non smoking. I went to give my son a bath the soap dish had hair in it. They have a sign in the room that says house keeping only cleans the room every 3 days so they didn't clean the room before letting us in I guess. I had payed for wifi for 3 days that we where there. The second day my wifi was shut off so I went down stairs and told them I payed cash for my room, I payed $10 for wifi for 3 days they looked it up on there computer and they turned it back on. I don't recommend this place for family's or couples it's more for a one night stay business man or woman sleep a couple of hours then be on your way kinda place. Staff needs work on communication skills with customers and housekeeping needs to mop and sweep the hardwood floors it was gross. I will never use Expedia to book a hotel again. read more
