Great place to stay.....clean and great price for weekly rate. Close to town but not in all the traffic of being in the middle of town .

Hilton Hotel Feedback (04-29-2025)…read more This Hampton Inn hotel met my requirements for this business trip. However, this Hampton Inn, as well as two others in the Kennesaw GA and Cartersville GA areas, are showing a very disturbing renovation trend: the removal of the Guest Laundry Facilities. The information that I received from a "live" hotel manager is as follows: Hilton Hotels' Hampton Inns are removing Guest Laundry Facilities because Hilton Hotels wants Hampton Inns to cater to short-stay guests whom they assume will not miss the Guest Laundry Facilities. Other Hilton brand hotels like Hilton Garden, Homewood Suites, Doubletree, Home2, etc. will cater to long-stay guests and will retain the Guest Laundry Facilities. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY SHORT-SIGHTED AND VERY BAD IDEA. --- Even short-stay guests need to know that there is a convenient, on-site Guest Laundry solution for: dirty travel clothes from long road trips or family vacations, sweaty exercise clothes from the on-site fitness room, wet soaked chlorine-smelling swimwear from the on-site pool/jacuzzi, and those unexpected food accidents OR bathroom (#2 or "pee") accidents!! --- Each of these three Hampton Inns are in the state of Georgia. However, for my next business trip (to another state), I have already requested a non-Hilton brand hotel, because my preferred Hampton Inns in this other state do not list Guest Laundry Facilities under "Amenities" on both the Hilton mobile app & on the main Hilton web site links. --- My strong, common-sense Recommendation: RESTORE & RETAIN Guest Laundry Facilities for ALL Hilton brand hotels. --- OR ELSE: Loyal Hampton Inn Business & Leisure Travelers will likely choose to avoid the risk of staying at a hotel that may not have on-site Guest Laundry Facilities. --- For "US" Business & Leisure travelers, we do not mind paying an extra $5-$10 dollars per night to cover the cost of having on-site Guest Laundry. To us, it is like "laundry insurance" that some of us hope we will never need. AND ... just one more thing ... (as Columbo use to say) ... This Hampton Inn did NOT even have a plastic laundry bag & laundry send-out paper form to fill out ... for sending dirty laundry outside for cleaning! --- These plastic bags & laundry order forms are traditionally hanging in the closet, and are clipped to one of the clothes hangars. --- Closing Remarks: It is already bad enough that so many Hampton Inn hotels in many states have renovated their rooms ... replacing chest of drawers with metal wire shelves; replacing traditional nightstands with hanging shelves w/o drawers; replacing customer-friendly clock radios with non-adjustable alarm clocks; and installing bathroom sinks with faucets on the left or right side, instead of keeping the faucet in the center of the sink. PLEASE do not compound these short-sighted renovation/policy changes with the imposition of "traveler anxiety" about "what may be missing" from the next Hampton Inn that "US" business & leisure guests have to choose. . Please Communicate this Feedback all the way up your managements' chain of command. . Thank You For Your Attention to my Feedback & to my Comments. . Sincerely, . A long-time Silver & occasional Diamond Member Hotel Guest. .

What a quaint and such fun place tucked away in the mountains! From the time we arrived the staff ( Megan) was beyond welcoming. From the cookies to the champagne it was very special. Our room was perfect! Just what I needed for a get away. Well we went off for dinner for at night and decided to take an Uber since it was New Year's Eve and we were not familiar with the area. When it came time to leave , our uber never showed up! We tried again and again to no avail! Called the one and only taxi in the town and she was unable to give us any definite answer. My last hope was to call the lodge . I felt terrible as it was getting later by the minute. It was their New Year's celebration going on. No one was able to answer so I left a message for their manager Sean hoping at 11:00 anyone would even be there to respond. Not even 5 minutes later Sean sent a text asking if we still needed help . This guy went above and beyond to help us out. He was there within minutes and got us back to the resort in time to celebrate with the other guests to bring in the new year! This place is a gem. We will definitely be back every year! They have covered every little detail here to make it special for each guests. Thank you again Sean for making this trip an awesome time! We will definitely be back!

In summary, what a beautiful setting, excellent service, delicious food, charming drinks, with every one of the staff members (owners included) just waiting to coddle and take care of your every whim and desire. Finding the Lodge the first time was a little challenging but just trust the GPS even though it looks like you're heading onto someone's property, stay on the road until you reach the top. Once there, be prepared to be pampered. The road up is a tad narrow, and when we arrived it was covered in leaves (we hit prime color change/leaf dropping) but it's not bad. The rest of the time the road was well cleared with turn-outs obvious and useful if needed (we didn't need one during travels in and out). We stayed in a room on the 1st floor at the end of the hall with a nice sitting room and patio with a beautiful view of the wooded hillside. The room was nice, fully functional and one nice feature were motion lights under the bed such that if you get up during the night you're not stumbling around to find the bathroom door. Loved that. They have a bar with well made drinks and a nice cozy sitting area with a fireplace and comfortable chairs we used to chat with the staff who helped fine tune our winery stops. They have a 'snack bar' (my term) complete with various snacks, cold drinks, a coffee drink, and freshly made cookies each day. Oh, and they will point out a nice little file box with room numbers with homemade candy that magically appears each afternoon! A delicious and generous breakfast is included that is FAR from the typical powered scrambled eggs, paper thin bacon (you know what I'm talkin' about!). No, this is a freshly made frittata, the best home fries I've ever had, fresh cut fruit and more. Great start to each day! They have an outdoor seating area complete with lights, an abundance of bar height chairs/tables, Adirondack chairs, and fire pits. A great way to spend an evening at sunset sipping your wine/cocktails and talking the evening away. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that we opted for the five-course prix fixe dinner in their large communal dining area known as "Wit & Wisdom". It was a great way to mingle with other guests, share stories, compare winery travels, and just share time and conversation. This alone was worth the price of admission! We added the wine pairing so we went all in, and we felt that we certainly got our money's worth out of it! Kicking it off with an Amuse-Bouche and wrapping up the next five-courses, while they appear small, we were absolutely stuffed when we were done. The wines were outstanding and it turned out to literally be the perfect ending to our glorious stay with owners Tommy & Heather and the entire staff that made sure we were fed, comfortable, and part of the Mountain Top 'family'. As I loaded the pictures, I realize I have to give a shout-out to Topher and the crew in the kitchen! You all demonstrate exceptional service and skill. Well Done!!!

Literally an insect infested room with no response beyond "here is some wine and we're oh so sorry". Gym weight equipment was essentially non-functional as all thepoarts had loose bolts and pulley/cable links broken. Barnsley has started to become a dump. Yeah, people notice. I wont come back.
